To be honest, after playing the beta I don't even care much for the game anymore. I'm still here cause I love it here Don't go flaming me for not being overly impressed with the game either, or I'll leave forever :O *Is that a promise?* Just so nobody can say it.

Wait.... you're being sarcastic, right? :eek: nope, the gameplay was good but in the end it was basicaly all running and jumping, with a little grabbing involved. I like creating though but I see the whole thing getting old (for me atelast) Pretty fast. 3 months top for my life span. Lest I play loads ofgames at once and do LBP casualy, then perhaps 7 months.

I got way too over hyped for this game, I think I'll get bored after a few months, unless they do what I hope they do. Which is, add maybe iono Monthly DLC? That would keep me in the game for half a year maybe, and if the lag is gone. There's a bunch of little things that would make this game last so much longer but I know people will stop after 2 years. I'll probably move on, sooo many PS3 games to play, so little time ( Just got my PS3 as you all should know ) But for example, if I ever get a msg from one of you guys inviting me to play or help create a level, I'm there no matter what, it all depends on the "Play" and "Create" with friends for me.

well lets not get a head of ourselves here, it is 5 days and some hours, yes but not very many of us live in the US (even though i do) there are still a lot of people in other countries and not very many of us are going to stay up till midnight at whatever store just to get a copy of LBP because many of us have either school or work, and besides we do not need to stay up that late because most of us preordered so we can get those bonus things, so we can go when we get out of school or work, although i know that some of you will skip work so you can go get your copy in the morning and play it for the rest of the day

If your regarding my post, I said "I over-hyped the game a little too much" But this game will be awesome, I can see myself putting a good 5-6 months into this game, unless there is lag, that will just ruin the game and I'm pretty sure that was the reason of the beta. Don't get me wrong, I played the beta for a couple hours, so of course I don't know what I'm talking about, but it just felt as if I didn't know what the hell I was doing... Maybe thats why I wasn't having fun, afterall, I didn't watch any tutorials and jumped straight into the game.

I hope that the first patch is released on the first day, that would be great. I also hope that my dumb wireless internet isn't causing the lag problems that I had in the beta... But yes, the release date draws near... I'm so bored right now, but I only have to wait a few more days... I can sort of see where these guys are coming from with the "getting old" thing, but user created levels are (hopefully) going to come up with new, ingenious things... that, and if Media Molecule does do cool DLC stuff then it'll make it last a bit longer as well... This isn't a debate topic on the lasting appeal of the game though =P

Last Wednesday, I went to my friend's house. I barely even knew about the game. One of his friend's happened to send him a beta code, so we decided to play. We stayed up all night playing, and I made the crappiest godzilla ever, taking a mere...8 hours. But it completely hooked me, so here a week later it's the top game on my list, topping Fable 2 and Fallout 3...which I have to cancel my preorders for now.

I'm not worried about getting bored with the game, I have a plethora of ideas I can't wait to see in action, and as somebody said, there's like 200x more content. I have seen some of the most amazing things created on beta, including a rollercoaster complete with loop-the-loop (that I rode on 3 times, and laughed hysterically each time), a working calculator, a level that plays the intro to "Sweet Child 'O Mine", a level where you play tetris, a level where you play block breaker, and a working crane game. All this with the beta being out a few short weeks, and a small percentage of content available. Yes, there will be people who will get bored of it, and stop playing it, however not all people will be like that. Ever since I was old enough to hold a controller I was fascinated by video games, and wanted to make one myself. Well this is it.
