Rotating Room/Boss

So i have an idea for my boss. You enter a room (hexagon shaped) and press a button. The room starts rotating. http://i31.tinypic.com/dn1qo7.png Those blue spots are brains, the black lines are walls, with a platform for the player in the center, and the green lines are gas. Each brain will fire plasma, fireballs (flamethrower?), or lasers, depending on a randomizer. Can someone give me tips as to how hard it would be to, when pressing a button, one random wall of gas will disappear so players can take out the brain? Possibly, they have to survive a wave of attacks before one random gas cloud is taken down for a period of time? And each brain should have it's own set of attacks.
