Climb For The Lime

Climb For The Limegmerritt
This is my 3rd level. Climb the mountain to get the fabled lime that sits at the top of the mountains.

This level is a pure platformer.

I stayed in grid mode for this whole level and that is why you wont find a lot of curves within the level.

To gain points you have to find ducks that are hidden through out the level.

WARNING! This level may cause some suicides because of my checkpoint placement! (But if its to hard you can play the easy version I published!) Thanks ahead of time!

Wow, this is a very well-made level! I especially liked a lot of the platforming elements and going up and around some tunnels. If I might suggest though, the level is made up of many block-like shapes; making the next level with more organic shapes might be a fun venture.2010-07-30 21:10:00

Very not bad...you def hit the nail on the head when you described this level as a platformer! I liked the overall visuals, but the use of different materials throughout could have made it even better. Also, the sections in the ice area...errrrrrr....i was gettin pretty frustrated in the sections with the glass floors! But it is playable, just takes some patience and willpower. I don't know where you came up with the idea of a lime...but i will say its original!

Keep creating...your getting better. You use of the layers was great...now all you need to do is work on polishing solid gamplay with excellent visuals and you'll be a force to be reckoned with!

This was a well designed level

Positives:
-Platforming
-Design of the level
-Gameplay

Sugguestions:
- I agree with one of the guys said about changing the shapes up a bit to get it off that blocky feel to it.

Overall nice level wasnt really any excitement to it but it was worth playing:star::star::star::star:

I'm about to play this level right now.

EDIT: Playing now, typing as I play

The second Magic mouth is censored.
At the part just after you swing across the sponge circles where you have the stone circles above, you might want to make it more obvious which direction you have to go from here.
At the start of the snow part you might want to make the ice ramp abit easier to jump off of.
Might want to add maybe 1 more checkpoint to the cloud area.
Nearly threw my controller at the screen at the cloud bit, so frustrating
Sad to see that I'm not at the top Oh well
Just finished saved 6/8 ducks.



Ok, it was a really good platformer, I love pure platforming. The details could of been a bit better, the atmosphere of the level could of been a bit better too, but overall it was still a great level.

I made notes as I play so its a lil' messy
Good use of layers, but some might not relise it emphasises on it so much so many include in description. Perhaps change the music every now & then, little repetitive. when the lighting changes make it like 2.0 secs to change, to make a nice fading effect. Level was nice & lengthy. Nice prizes (I got them all XD) & YEA MY FINGER HURT AFTER THIS ONE Xd. 4 stars

Yo! Played the level last night, it was great fun. It was difficult, which is good in my books. Had nice scenery, but could use some less boxy shapes and it had lots of fun plat forming. To improve the scenery as I said, less boxy shapes would be good, but some stickers would also help liven up the level a bit. Its already been said that the music should change and I agree. I think it should change along with the change of scenery AND PENGUINS! Overall it was great fun with nice scenery, I gave it: :star::star::star::star: and <3

I had fun playing this. It was long, but the changing scenery helped break it up a bit.

For having not many moving parts, you've still created a fairly engaging platformer. I was soooo happy to see that lime at the end. LOL

I have to say im impressed, your use of the grid is really a force to be reckoned with, I also like the imclusion of the ducks, everyone loves collectables!, anyway, the only thing i have to say is that you should make the lighting objects take affect overtime instead of just instantly going darker of lighter.2010-08-14 01:38:00
