How To Publish Unlimited Levels...

Archive: 17 posts

"LBP Cloud Data"

So I was reading some posts about how people wanted to make some projects in LBP2 that could take up ALOT of levels, so I had an idea ( a brilliant one I think ). It's a concept of a LBP Vault. This is basically a level that allows you access to any of your levels from different accounts. So here is what you do...

1. Create a level with a safe that contains all the keys from your published levels ( make sure these levels are copyable )
2. Make it so that the safe only opens when you place a sticker on it that only you have.
3. Go to a separate account and play the vault level ( Make sure you sent the sticker to all of your accounts ).
4. Once you place the sticker on the safe, you can collect all the keys.
5. Copy all the now unlocked levels to your moon.
6. Now you have all your levels on a separate account to publish.

Q. Why am I doing this again?
A. This system allows you to continue a series of levels for as long as you want without having to collect materials, watch tutorials, or make a level in a separate account again. For example, let's say you have 40 levels made on your moon. Well take 20 of those levels put them in a vault and than publish another 20 on your separate account.

Q. Can I do anything else with this system?
A. Sure, you can make it so that only specific people can play your levels. Just send them a sticker corresponding to the safe over PSN.

Q. ...I am confused
A. That's not a question.
Q. I know it just seems complicated
A. Well it is, but it pays off if you want to have a long series of levels.
Q. OK
A. ...Are you going to ask anymore questions?
Q. No...
A. Than leave please.
Q. K See you later.

Sorry about that I was just being stupid...

Note: This system works for both LBP and LBP2.

I am starting to think of a lot more uses for this now. Like if you wanted someone else to beta test a level you could give out a Beta Key! Or if you wanted to give away a boat load of prizes, you could make the sticker key a prize to be won for beating a challenge and keys you access the vault. I hope people pick up on this concept and use it in creative ways! I would love to see some possibilities that I am not thinking of.2010-07-30 08:58:00

Yeah , but you have to go for all that hassle of making an account ! LBP2 has alot more room for published levels ...
And are you really gonna need to publish more than 20 levels at once ? If you're making them that fast you should probably improve them abit ... Finally , if you do reach the 20 level limit you usually just delete your earliuest ones on there caus ethey won't be up to the same standard as your level you're just about to publish.
I'm just gonnna have to say this.. ( sorry ).. That renders your arguement pointless.

.....OK, didn't know I was arguing with anyone.

I put this up because it seems like over time people are going to need some more space to put both their LBP1 and LBP2 levels to. Secondly you are already devoting your time to making a level series why not set up an account ( It doesn't take that long, 10 minutes ). And Third people are having some high expectations of them selves and their creative teams to make a full game, and it remains to be seen if we will get more than 20 more levels of room in LBP2. I for one am making 3 series and each will average, at the least, 6-7 levels. And lastly! Why limit yourself to using this only for series of level!? Sorry to say this, but your sudden argument has been rendered pointless!

*picks up note pad* LBP333-1, G-Hustla-0. Your move.

Haven't people been using multiple accounts already for like a looooong time when they run out of level publishing slots?

Also, i'm quite sure you get like at least 10 more publishing slots, so that shouldn't be a problem for a while at least.

@G-Hustla
Sure, but I don't got no cookies

@Silverleon
Yes they have, but this system let's you move levels in between them and also makes it so that you don't have to go into the extra account to make levels. And again...you don't have to use the system for just publishing levels...

EDIT: I just noticed, I probably should of titled this thread, "LBP Cloud Data" it's the best way of putting it...
