The Honey Hive 3: Inside the Honey Factory (part 1 of 2)SX_shookie99
Further investigation shows that the queen bee is being held hostage inside the honey factory by the evil stickmandude. the look of a factory and the same theme and visuals and gameplay mechanics are still present with a few twists and turns.
First of all i have to give a big THANKS to all the folks that were responsible for getting the first two honey hive levels spotlighted. it was an honor to be among all those great creators and levels and has to be the highlight of my lbp lifespan of 7 months.

in this third level which is part one of two, your further investigations take you to the honey factory where the queen is being held hostage by the evil stickmandude. this is part one of two mainly due to thermo. i tried really hard to make it look and feel like a factory and still keep the visuals and overall feel of the first two. feedback is appreciated.
i know the level is a bit short but the thermo was so close to overheating so i decided to make it a part 1 of 2.

here are some pics

This is such a good level! You have a real knack for creating fun, varied and very well paced gameplay. I liked how the difficulty has gone up a notch in this level too. There were some nice new elements in the gameplay. You are also generous with your bubbles, with plenty of combos to go for. This is all topped off with bold and attractive visuals with solid shapes and strong, warm colours. Overall it was a blast to play.

Five stars and a heart. I am really looking forward to seeing what you do with a different theme.

I played the level and here's what I thought.

In Honey Hive 2, it was great but the story could've been a bit better. In Honey Hive 3, I think you developed in more and did a great job. The platforming as usual was awesome plus you showed once again you can add more and it won't feel the same because each time you add different game mechanics. Although I will say to those who wanna play it, it will be trickier to beat it then the other two which I love. The first two were great, but they felt like it would be more fun if it were at least a little harder. If I were you I'd hide the emitter to the contraption emitting the fireballs at you. I can't wait for part 4 and of course like usual I loved the extra points. :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

@shrop, thanks for the 5 stars, heart, and great feedback! if you want to see some of my other work i would suggest Castle Crawler 2, and i have another level i am working on with a mario theme.

@dragonvarsity, thanks for everything man, you are the best, you have done so much for me on your blog and on this forum. hey the emitter, thanks for noticing because it was a complete oversight on my part, fixed it so now its invisible. if you are looking for story and characters, then you should play my 4 part shadowland series, its not great but okay. if you play them, then part 3 is glitched on the second boss fight. after you kill it, for some reason it takes about 2 minutes for the tree behind it to explode so you can proceed. not sure why it does this because it only does it in play mode. in edit mode it works just fine. peace.

Very nice level! The best of the three so far. Once again the gameplay still felt like the others while not at all being repetitive. The visuals were basically the same as the others, but a bit more detailed, making it the best looking so far. And my favorite addition is that you seemed to have figured out how to get the flopping honey jars (tiny ones) to work properly.(they now work on the first try)

Great level 5 stars and a heart!

thanks for the feedback everyone. sackracer, i haven't changed those smaller pots at all, but they work better upright anyway. thought about re-doing some of the pots in the level anyway, we will see.2010-08-05 14:46:00

Really cool level.

I think this one was trickier to get through than the previous levels, and that's not a bad thing considering that the platforming is still as fun and varied as in the previous Honey Hive levels.

I recorded a video of the level:
