What Happen to MMpodcast?

Archive: 17 posts

Remember back in 2009, they did MMpodcasts. I remember they promised to do it more often but they just stopped. What happened? LBP2? or SCE being uptight about information secrecy..? What do you think?2010-07-29 18:49:00

I think they're just too busy - being only a small group, Mm probably don't get time to do a Podcast.. which is a pity, I did enjoy it 2010-07-30 08:36:00

Spaffs job title is "Community Manager";

I don't think he's doing a very good job.
The RSS feeds are few and far between - and there has been no real community update (level picks etc) for weeks if not months.
& the past few that he did were just post-it-notes he found lying around the office with doodles of Sackboy on them.

Must Try Harder

I'd rather have them work on lbp2 to make it as good as possible. Which is what they're doing.2010-07-30 13:14:00

& Spaff (who's job is keeping the community up to date) can't take 5 minutes out of his lunch break (or out of their post-it-note doodle time) to keep the community updated?

It's not like they are working at it from space... if they can stop for 5 minutes for a coffee, a sandwich, a poo... they could take 5 minutes to update the community.
Even if the update is "sorry, we're really busy working on LBP2 - so no updates" - it's better than nothing, which is what we're getting right now.

I'm dissapointed in Spaff

Hey. Don't blame it on Spaff.

Tom's also a community manager, it's his fault too XD
no seriously. They're probably too busy to even update us, their priority at this moment, I assume, is to work on LBP2, not keep us up to date.

If he's got time to update us with useless stuff like this (http://www.mediamolecule.com/blog/article/found_art_bonnets_-_are_you_wearing_yours/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MediaMoleculeBlog+Media+Molec ule+Blog),
-then he's got time to explain why they are so busy that they can't update us

And if they've all got time to prank someones PC full of post-it-notes... then they can't be *that* busy

How about...

Cool Levels;
Media Molecule Picks;
Interesting Community Developments;
Creator Spotlights;
LBP2 Updates;
Must See Gadgets;
Any Other Relevant Updates on any other relevant topics;
MMPodcast (or an update on the lack there-of)

Use your imagination

Totally agree with you on that. A little less cack and a bit more useful info would be nice. Such as what they're doing in the way of making sure Sony give everywhere else a collectors edition the same as America is getting. Would be nice to have some feedback on all those questions we were asked to submit too a while ago. There were plenty of questions submitted on here alone but I've yet to hear or see any answers at all.

Spaff and Tom are both community managers but I'm sure they have a lot to do, their job doesn't just entail blog posts, their experience in making and running websites is what got them the job and, um yeah what website is currently in development, oh yeah the web portal LBP.me, they are building that. They also can't give as much information away as they would like, SONY like to keep things quiet (even though they do a terrible job at it, remember the PSP GO fiasco)2010-07-30 17:21:00

While the two of them are all that active in the community, I think that's partially the games fault. It wasn't designed correctly to accompany a ton of input and critique from the developers. I presume they're working very hard on making it so that they can be very VERY active in LBP2. So rather than being extremely active, they're planning and preparing to be very active in a few months. I hope that makes sense.

Also, I'm sure they're communicating a TON with the people in the secret beta in order to make the next (hopefully more open) beta a better experience and further along. Once the next beta goes live, I bet we'll (or the people actually IN the beta) will be hearing a lot more from them.

Even in the beta, there can be those quite times where we don't hear much from them. A lot of secret work that even testers don't know about. Whatever they're busy doing, I'm sure we'll see when the time is right.2010-07-31 09:15:00

But without a definitive update from the horses mouth, it's all just conjecture.
They *could* be incredibly busy, or they *could* be busy doing nothing, doodling on post-it-notes.

& still doesn't explain what happened to the Podcasts.
