I dislike olmco very much, TheJollyRajah invented the "Music Box" and olmco stole it and got famous for it -_- Again, NO originality in todays society, people always ripping off someone else.

TheJollyRajah is the best musician in LBP, I've watched him make music for HOURS and it's insane the steps he takes to make his music PERFECT.

Olmco, hes gotten very lazy imo. I hear so much wrong in his music, like the Ocean Song for Zelda WW, he left out SO much.

TheJollyRajah. (And I think he's still active. Had him help me out with a song a week and half ago. Plus he made the music for that one Wind Waker Introduction level)

He's flat out amazing and showed me this neat trick for getting good sound music. Now I'm using it and my current WIP is sounding amazing. Now I just need it to look good. :x So yeah, he's basically my entire inspiration along with oLMCo because his wheels are astounding. They confuse me too much so I avoid them myself, so I can't imagine the patience involved in getting the mag keys to be a perfect distance apart around the wheel.		2010-07-29 19:15:00

I did originally get the idea from TheJollyRajah if you must know. I don't care about credit or rights to an idea in a computer game, I?m not that petty... and nor is Jolly. He is a friend of mine and has not once expressed that I had ?stolen? his idea.

If you do want to be funny about it I remember seeing a Tetris level that had the theme playing in the background using a circle with switches on it about two months before the game came out.

And lazy? I don't know about you but I have a life outside of LittleBIGPlanet. I play for enjoyment, not for self satisfaction or brownie points and being the BEST!!!11one.

I don't really know who you are or what you?ve made but I?m pretty sure I've been more original and productive then you.

Yes indeed TheJollyRajah is one of the most talented musicians in LittleBIGPlanet. I think he needs to make more levels though. I know he helps a lot of people with they?re levels, but he doesn?t published anything new him self.

The only two others I know are comishguy67 and bigboijb15. They both still make a lot of music in LittleBIGPlanet.

haha olmco owned that last guy haha only four main creator that stand apart from the rest bigboi, comish, olmco, rajah. these are the top guys in lbp for music level but the most active at the moment which is the original question is bigboi which has made 4 song in the last 2 weeks and currently has 2 or 3 at the cool pages at the moment page 22010-07-30 15:35:00

definitely jollyrajah... i wouldn't know if he's active or not. as far as original music, and innovation goes, deboerdave trumps alot of people for making his following music box for the jumper levels... i don't think he plays much now from what i hear.2010-07-30 19:34:00

I didn't invent the music wheel. The wheel concept has been around much longer than when I first started using it; I just refined it a bit. And oLMCo has added his own spin to it by decorating them nicely and even opening up his own music palace, where anyone can choose from numerous boxes for free. If anyone is unoriginal, it is me. As I said yes I got the idea to put Magnetic Switches on something that spins past a Magnetic Key to seamlessly keep repeating it’s self after seeing something Jolly had made for the end of his level. I thought it was beautiful that you could get music to keep playing like that and incorporate into a level.

Does that mean he deservers more cookies then me? I don’t really care, even if he didn’t I’d let him have them because I’m not that pathetic to make a deal out of something so meaningless. As I said before nor would TheJollyRajah, it’s only you that is… pathetic enough to make a deal out of it.

You obviously have a problem with me, why I have no idea I don’t even now who you are and you don’t know who I am.
Everything else you have said about me makes not logical sense at all. Yes you have an opinion, I or any one else hear couldn’t care lass about it.

This thread is about who the best is and as most people have said it’s TheJollyRajah, I even said so myself if you read my post carefully and stop emphasizing on the bad things.

I don’t need to explain my self but I will if it makes you feel better.

The Zelda music you keep going on about, it is an extremely long song that’s why I “left out SO much”. I couldn never physically fit the whole song on to a single gear. Plus maybe it was not must recognizable part of the song? That’s because the start of the song is the only part that could fit and also loop seamlessly.

How many other music levels you seen where there are about 30 songs that you win and get to keep for your self?

I don’t know if you’ve played my non music levels but they are no way generic. Mechanic’s level? I’m guessing you mean my LBW7 level. How was that a rip off of SteveBigGuns? I can only assume you mean that jumping platforms that automatically let go when you grab then shoot you up. So, because some one else did something mean I wont do it and choose a lesser option?
Them thing's give you an easy and consistent jump, I think it’d be less original to just have a sensor switch, push button or have to release a grab switch.

If you must know it was POMS I think that originally came up with something like that. Does that mean we should discredit Steve? Does that mean you should discredit me?

No… Steve built upon what POMS did, and so did I. The ones I made work a lot different to Steve’s and POMS.
Do I want a medal for it? No, am I singing and dancing about it no.

It is just senseless hating.

I loved all of those little objects you made and you are great at doing concept art, A.K.A. the designs on the music boxes, I am just critiquing your work, and as said before, there is no need for you to be so angry and hostile about someone not liking your music.

And steve didn't necessarily get anything from Poms, I have known steve for 1 and a half years, before he started making actual levels and I know he didn't rip off anyone.

Can we please just end this flame-war. There is no point in it and it is just making the both of us look worse. When it comes down to it we are both mature citizens in LittleBigPlanet and we need to be acting as such rather than acting like 5 year olds.

Wow what a beautiful way to end an argument comphermc. I think oLMCo, yoda1607, comish and JollyRojah are my favourite creators of music. But may I just add, I myself developed an easy way to make music, low thermo too, in April 2009. I don't want to fuel anything here but I think you think Jolly is the best because you are friends with him and have watched him create his work. I don't suppose you do that with many other music creators? My opinion, no need to agree/disagree. If you don't like it - ignore it.

They were keeping quiet on that side of things when we were there. I presume it has to do with the fact they havn't bought all the licences yet to the music so didn't want us poking around saying this song or that song is in when they havn't even asked the owner of the rights yet. Like all the other aspects of the game though, it wouldn't too much of a leap to presume improvements will be made 		2010-08-03 16:15:00

well said the arguements are senseless it's not needed olmco and TheJollyRajah are great creators there is no need for trying to create a division because of differences
and also there are no need for attacking something because of personal likes it's wrong.
The thread was made so wex and other can find recommended music creators not to tell who is the best because.... or "i don't like ____ because....."

I am going to have to say my buddy comishguy is the best (Sorry Olmco and Jolly) his music is so original, and I honestly envy his music abilities, I will show him my music stuff and then I will look at his stuff and feel like the worst composer ever . That is just for original songs, in terms of songs that have been written by another band, Dini is my favorite. However my favorite remake is Concrete man by Jolly, it would be perfect if it wernt for LBP's terrible drums :/ anyways just thought I would tell you what i thought 2010-08-04 19:38:00

Music composition is what I'm majoring in afterall.

You know what, I don't know why I neglected to mention this, but Dan from SackCast is probably one of the most musically gifted people I've encountered since I started playing LittleBigPlanet. He doesn't have any musical levels to my knowledge, but the stuff he writes is really gorgeous. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Feel a bit self conscious putting forward my own level... I hate people who blow their own trumpet... but no-one is going to blow mine for me

I've recently published a level "Magical Musical Worshop" that puts the music creation tools into your hands... *You* can become the Music Meastro... so far I've made some pretty funky mixes using this.

It's unlike any other music level I have seen on LBP - I think it's quite unique but I would say that wouldn't I?

I'd like to know what you guys make of it compared to the other music levels out there

When it comes to music on LBP, I couldn't really define anyone as the "best".
All the music creators are great in their own way. There's no way i could objectively decide the best...

But I will say that my favorite authors Jolly, oLMCo, BigBoi, Stunkel, Scype-28, and Yoda.

@comphermc: I make a lot of original songs on LBP, but I actually make more original music outside of LBP.

@Stunkel: I dunno why you think your music is bad compared to mine! 0_0 Yours is great too, it has a lot of charm and it sticks in your head if you listen to it for too long. XD

@oLMCo: I've never seen you (type XP) so angrily before :O. Well...regardless of what "angry gummybears" say about you, just know I think you a LBP genius. You don't even have to respond to haterzzz like that, you too good for it. XD
