From Glitches, to Tools

Alright so what I mean is pretty much what the title says. Take all of the little tricks we used in Lbp1 and make them a legit part of the game! I mean, the layer glitches provided for brilliant self-made backgrounds, and the invisible material glitch should just be a material type! Post your thoughts on this, as well as some glitches you'd like to see made legit. | 2010-07-28 14:50:00 Author: VintageOak Posts: 14 |
Some of glitches are true graphical glitches, like anti-color. Keeping them maintain makes harder to update things since glitch might poof due simple modernization process.for sure there won't be 100% but i think all LBP1 levels will be accountable anyway whatever they look nice or not and playable or not some levels uglier but still playable | 2010-07-28 15:00:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Invisible material would be good. Like, you set it as invisible and in create it's just an outline. | 2010-07-28 17:50:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
The holographic material is invisible if you don't specify a colour. | 2010-07-28 17:52:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
The holographic material is invisible if you don't specify a colour. Good news ! Can we use it as a thin invisible wall so the players can't switch layers ? ...Unless the players can walk through a thin holographic wall ? | 2010-07-28 17:59:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
From a designing standpoint, I'd love for theck and thack to still be usable. It really lends to some of the complex designs of my recent creations. | 2010-07-28 18:00:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
The holographic material is invisible if you don't specify a colour. But... I thought it had no physical properties, so doesn't that mean you couldn't use it for, say, Invisible Barriers? | 2010-07-28 18:07:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
I heard you can already make any material invisible in play mode and a filter material that filters colours to a various design like black with green outline for example. | 2010-07-28 18:11:00 Author: Jord-bord Posts: 153 |
But... I thought it had no physical properties, so doesn't that mean you couldn't use it for, say, Invisible Barriers? That's true, in the build we got to play you could walk right through them. But you can use to make more stable connections between far away objects. | 2010-07-28 18:12:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
As I have understood, ANYTHING can be made invisible. (Correct me if you dare...) I'd LOVE thack & theck made official. Thack tends to asplode me brain every time i try to use it for anything | 2010-07-28 20:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
The holographic material is invisible if you don't specify a colour. The holographic material does not physically affect the player in anyway, it's just a floating HUD-type thing. | 2010-07-28 20:38:00 Author: edster962 Posts: 170 |
The holographic material is invisible if you don't specify a colour. Where did you find that out? =0 and second i've only ever seen it used in the thin layers, i dont think it can be thick, and thats what im talking about. | 2010-08-02 18:17:00 Author: VintageOak Posts: 14 |

Syroc found that out at guildford, in mm towers, whilst playing the game. It defo can be thick or thin, but it has no physical presence | 2010-08-02 18:25:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Some kind of invisible material with darkmatter properties would be great, it'd have millions of uses. This is probably best place to ask it, if I save hidden/glitch stuff as objects in LBP1, will all/some/any of them be useable in LBP2? (examples: smearable 'lava' material, Spongeglass, size glitched stuff.etc) | 2010-08-02 18:37:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
Best answer we have atm is probably.... | 2010-08-02 18:42:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
