I played it with my son and we enjoyed it a lot!

Andy's kind of scary looking, though, and the look could use some polish.

Beyond that, the platforming was fun!

In regards to making your Andy look better...

Hair would help. You might be able to find something that works in stickers and decorations. If not, maybe use a different texture and give him a little something on top.

The mouths they give you aren't great, but maybe using a visible speaking mouth on him would look better than the one you're using. That one always reminds me of those weird Sponge Monkey creatures from the Quiznos commercials. Not a bad thing in itself, but kind of creepy, which I don't think is what you were going for. LOL

It's just suggestion stuff. You can take it or leave it. Make the level YOU want to play.

I know it's only the first. That's why I said the level's out instead of the levels are out. Anyway, I hope to try it tomorrow, sounds fun.2010-07-28 01:24:00

I fixed Andy
He now has hair and his mouth is... somewhat normal,
I also fixed a small glitch that allowed you to fall to the bottom of the level.

Hey, that was a cute little homage to the great toy story. Initially I felt it held a lot of promise, but after finding andy I felt it kinda felt apart as far as the level making sense with your fiction. There was a dark matter maze and a virtual reality run. I would just suggest for future levels trying to pick and stick to one theme throughout. Overall I'd say this is a good level for someone who liked Toy Story to play. 3/5 stars.2010-07-28 03:18:00

The maze was just a bit random to get to the ginger bread house
The virtual run was (the evil person which i will not say to spoil) lair.

Hey, I played it and here's what I thought.

I liked the story, was excited to see a toy story-like level. When I got in the bath tub, no offense but Andy creeped my sackboy out very much. Also, the maze is cool even though when I first tried I somehow made the right turn each time so maybe you could make it longer, I don't know also. I looks kinda ugly as dark matter. Usually if I put dark matter in the level, it's hidden or just very tiny so if you could change it to suit the theme then that would be cool. Also, I'm a little confused why you had to pick mushrooms from a block of dissolve material. I did kinda like the gingerbread house though. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I gave it :star::star::star:

Hi-

This was a pretty fun level, I always liked the Toy Story movies, so it's nice to see a level based on it. The only thing that I didn't like was the dark matter maze, and some areas could use some corner-editing. But other than that, nice work.

I rated the level :star::star::star::star:.

i think this is enough new stuff for a double post...

The maze has been changed to wood that works with the areas around it!
Another bug fix has been made,
So if you want to play it again and see if you like it more enough to rate it another star, or possibly like it enough to heart it be my guest to do that.

If there are any other suggestions to make andy look better or any things that would improve the level i would be glad to know

Oh, I like the wooden maze better, good job. Also, I made the picture and uploaded it a while ago. I took a picture at the beginning with my sackboy on the car next to the toy soldier. But when doing so i just had to make a costume that fit it. So I did. This costume includes a crash helmet stickered green with a white circle in the middle and an L in the white circle just like on the car. I also put on black pants, sonic gloves, one of the sonic character shoes,(very colorful) and got a shirt but I forgot which and stickered it green and had plain normal skin and Barbossa beard. He actually looks pretty cool.2010-07-29 02:28:00

Ok this level was interesting.

When I first began playing it it seemed like a very basic simple level created by a beginner or a child, the kind where they just throw a lot of different traps an obstacles on the screen and use as many materials as possible and then publish it so they can get a trophy (you know the kind of level I mean) but then I realised that it actually fits with the premise of teh level...this is a game about toys so it would look childish.

With that in mind I replayed it in order to see if there was any glaring errors that could be addressed. You shall be glad to know that I couldn't really find any. The level was easy to follow and I never got lost once (that also included the maze which I zoomed through on my first go without taking a single wrong turn).

The maze has a lot of score bubbles which if you do right can get a big multiplier if you care much about score

Dragon thank you for doing that, thats better than i ever could have asked for!!

lol dragonvarsity
anyway i might as well say this, my level is doing quite good. 20 hearts and 260-ish plays. i could get the create trophy but no one uses the hearting user feature anymore

And thank you for adding it to the "list" talbot

Well, only got half the "list" done... luckily yours was first.

Can't say I was blown away by it though, but I can't deny it wasn't fun. Definately needs tweaks here in there (especially Andy who looks quite disturbing).

Overall, :star::star::star:

Hey Snrm! I played your level, its pretty fun, but the use of MM objects and random materials put me off. I can tell you tried to get creative with the Incredibles and POTC kit stickers, but they werent really working for me.

Some suggestions:

#1:Try sticking with 5-6 materials MAX, if you use too many, it becomes more of an eyesore.
#2:When creating levels try to stick with one theme. The VR maze was kind of off theme, and the wood maze was a little bit out of theme too.
#3: Practice making your own objects, the ones that you made yourself were great, but I feel you were discouraged and overused the Premade objects.

Overall, I gave it:star::star::star: i can tell your improving! Keep it up, and youll make something revolutionary!

PS: i Used to be a review on my old forums for a long while! If theres anything you want to learn Especially visulas, im good at those!) Then add me up, or at least PM me! PSN is still Grayspence

In the gingerbread house? you can get to the top by a secret, you use the 1st windmill to fling up there

BTW #2 is on it's way, and it's AMAZING!

Andy looks better... I don't know, man. I think these levels would look a lot better with some filling out, corner editing, and stickering. Most materials are pretty basic, and done in quick brush strokes that pretty much look like messy lines.
Trust me. I've heard it about some of my levels too.
Thing is... when you go back and do the work to beautify the level, it really does enhance the gameplay experience, which in the case of these levels is already a lot of fun!

So I like the level, but I think it could look better.

On to part 2!
