LOL. What a dumb question.
Archive: 43 posts
My mum just walked into my room, and started blabbing about preordering LBP.. Anyway, the resulting question was "Couldn't you get a better game then that?" And I was just like WTF? Do I come over to you in the shops and start asking if you could buy a better pair of shoes? She knows nothing of the game, but wants me to get a different one? She doesn't even know what it's called. | 2008-10-14 22:22:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Lol, why does she even care? My parents are happy that I'm not buying another rated "M" game lol. | 2008-10-14 22:23:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |

LOL! Mums have no idea when it comes to games. I ignore mine at all costs, and she's banned from my room too. (No joke.) | 2008-10-14 22:25:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |

LOL. My step-mum [evil] hates it when I buy games because that means I somehow have money. Something she tries to stop from happening. Sad, I know. | 2008-10-14 22:25:00 Author: Maltay Posts: 2073 |

Do you have any idea why she would want you to get a different game then one that would enhance your creative side and thus your mind? o_0 Meh, my mom and step dad don't really care that I play games- in fact, they're happy that I like them or something. So... yeah, me no able to understand that behavior. | 2008-10-14 22:38:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

Next thing you know someone's gonna divide by zero -_- Seriously, why on Earth would she say that? It's weird, my Mum wants me to buy LBP. She likes it >_> | 2008-10-15 10:37:00 Author: Unknown User |
My mum is hilarious when it comes to games. The goomba on world 1-1 or SMB is a MONSTER EVIL GOOMBA OF DEATH (TM) to her. The amount of times I made her try and play and just watch in dispair as the same goomba got her time and again was daft! I tried getting her into guitar hero. She had both hands on the fret, (on easy) trying basically one hand for the first two notes, nothing for the third, or for the strumming! The other Christmas, she asked what I would like, I did her a list of ideas. Lego Star Wars was on there. She actually phoned me up and asked if it was the right game and said "you know it's Lego, right?" Clue might be in the title there... (It was a big shock on Christmas day to find a DVD shaped box with *gasp* Lego Star Wars in there!) | 2008-10-15 11:17:00 Author: flakmagnet Posts: 1084 |
Ha! My parents don't care about games xD Well, my dad and his brothers (my uncles, duh) love how I run people over in violent ways in GTA IV XD My mum got scared from playing Motorstorm...Each time she had to jump a cliff, she would gasp and give me the controller xD How cute *w* | 2008-10-15 11:31:00 Author: Stix489 Posts: 2080 |

Um... yay! =D (tenchar) | 2008-10-15 12:05:00 Author: Unknown User |
Well, now I have to ask. Creative, how did gaming give you batophobia? And is that the real term or something you made up? Best phobias, Anatidaephobia ? fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia ? fear of long words Arachnophobiaphobia ? the fear of people who are afraid of spiders | 2008-10-15 12:11:00 Author: flakmagnet Posts: 1084 |

Well, now I have to ask. Creative, how did gaming give you batophobia? And is that the real term or something you made up? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrophobia Batophobia is another word for it. It gives me Vertigo D: It's not that serious though ;_; | 2008-10-15 12:21:00 Author: Unknown User |
Interesting that virtual reality may be used in the future to cure it though. | 2008-10-15 12:23:00 Author: flakmagnet Posts: 1084 |
Oh yeah, at your other question... Well basically, numerous misplaced jumps drilled the formula into my head that height = death. Which it doesn't always, but that's what countless hours on games has done to me @_@ And yes, that is interesting... [Completely off-topic] Imagine how hectic a GTA virtual reality game would be -_- I was thinking about it the other day; for no apparent reason. I wouldn't buy it >_< | 2008-10-15 12:30:00 Author: Unknown User |
That is weird. My parents think playing games is fine but I have to be social. WTF? I have a billion friends and I'm out all weekend. I don't tell them about all my friends, they probably think I have like 3 lol. They just need to back off and LET ME LIVE. Wile weretalking about it, I'm EXTREMELY claustrophobic. If the area I'm in is too small, I FREAK OUT. | 2008-10-15 12:32:00 Author: Unknown User |

I'm fairly lucky in that I have no phobias. Just the completely rational fears of death and injury. The closest I have is a fear of Zombies or the girl from The Ring, if I ever saw them, i would freak out SO bad. Luckily I am aware that both are fictional and therefore am okay most of the time. I can get a little irrational however if I've just woken up from a nightmare or something, I do freak out for a while. | 2008-10-15 13:30:00 Author: flakmagnet Posts: 1084 |
Hehe, I did exaggerate a bit. I feel those phobias sometimes, but they're not permanent or anything like that. I would still climb to high places and stuffs >_< | 2008-10-15 13:35:00 Author: Unknown User |
I LOVE climbing to high places. As long as I feel vaugley safe, I can't get enough. | 2008-10-15 14:09:00 Author: flakmagnet Posts: 1084 |
