Sherlock

Who watched this? It was on Sunday night on BBC1 at 9. I thought it was brilliant, and a very good concept. It was written by Stephen Moffat, who is a genious, responsible for series 5 of Doctor Who which was equally as brilliant. Tell me what you thought of it... | 2010-07-27 12:01:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
I actually really liked it! Sherlock was certainly similar to Moffat's doctor who | 2010-07-27 14:21:00 Author: chimpskylark Posts: 335 |

The bits where Sherlock investigates were a lot like Heavy Rain. The way the words and phrases came up. | 2010-07-27 17:47:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |

I watched series 2... it was amazing! I hope what you say about a 3rd series is true, I know the 2 main actors do have many film offers, so I hope they find time to do this! I wont give any spoilers... but the final episode was fantastic, very emotional at the end :'( | 2012-01-16 20:59:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |

Jumps to garbage truck, jumps out, fake blood, uses ball under armpit to stop pulse in arm, Molly falsifies documents. Watson knocked down by homeless network to daze hm to make the whole thing easier, Johns view was also obscured due to being in his position, couldn't see the landing spot and the assassin was focused on John. Oh is this thread about Sherlock Holmes? No? /runs | 2012-01-20 23:23:00 Author: Schark94 Posts: 3378 |
I really enjoyed this series. I thought the first was not bad but this one really stood out to me - the best thing I've watched on TV in a long time! Oh is this thread about Sherlock Holmes? No? /runs Yes it is about Sherlock Holmes. A decent version that is, not that cocky action hero that Downey Jr attempts to portray. A real Sherlock Holmes with interesting characterisation and believable acting. | 2012-01-21 00:04:00 Author: DaSpoony Posts: 191 |
I like Robert Downey Juniors Sherlock Holmes but I think Benedict Cumberpatches is much more interesting and developed. Also Martin Freeman Does a better job at Watson IMO. | 2012-01-21 14:43:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |

I watched the first 3(?) episodes (seriously, how can anyone call that a season?). Wasn't too impressed, not sure why people are so nuts about this show. Not for me I guess? I have been meaning to catch up to see if it gets any better. EDIT: I would call that a series also. It's just online they seem to be referred to as "seasons". Also saw an TV ad for "season 1" of Sherlock. =_= | 2012-07-27 09:02:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
(seriously, how can anyone call that a season?). We call it a series. The vast majority of our shows have short runs so season never really gets used for our productions. | 2012-07-27 10:35:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
I love it. It really captures the (magnificent) essence of the original Sherlock Holmes stories, while at the same time giving it its own character and creating its own stories that are very loosely based on the originals. I've seen the entire first series and the second two episodes of the second series. I like all of them. (Though both final episodes are my favorites) Theory as to the ending: Uh . . . I really don't know. Maybe he . . . He's immortal? I don't know. Guess we'll have to wait until the next series. | 2012-08-04 03:24:00 Author: Unknown User |
To successfully modernise a well known character like Sherlock and still retain the mystique is quite frankly genius. The relationship between the two main characters is also a triumph in my opinion. I love Dr who, but Sherlock trumps it by quite a margin. We all know that Sherlock isn't dead but it's going to be really interesting to see how they get out of that one... the films? keep 'em | 2012-08-05 09:50:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
