Swing the ball around your sackperson and throw it into the goal to score points for your team. Choose to play on red or blue. Good for 2-4 players.

This is my first LittleBigPlanet level. I never thought I'd actually make one. So with it being my first, I'd like some critique on how well I did, what some suggestions for improvements are, etc. Not sure if anyone's made a level like this before... I've been meaning to check but my roommate's on the PS3 right now.

Thanks! Just added some screenshots. Sad that LBP doesn't capture the gas and lighting effects in stamps. :/2010-07-27 18:23:00

Export your LBP snapshots to HDD and then copy them to your computer with a USB drive. 2010-07-28 18:08:00

Just played this. The idea is really cool. The main problem is the camera angles. When you approach a goal the camera rotates very far, and it can be hard to tell how far away you are from the goal (and the gas). Maybe a smaller playing field would reduce the problem.

WOW! This is an awsome level for a first publish! I really liked the way the scoreboard is made and the "crazy lights" when you score a goal i also liked the camera angles . Even-though i was playing 1 player it was still fun. I can't wait till i play this with my friend! <3 :star::star::star::star: Tag:"Funky"
BTW Do you have any other levels for me to give feedback on becuase i would like you to play my 4th Doctors TARDIS

Thanks for the feedback! I'm torn about the camera angles... did you try throwing the ball instead of carrying it to the goal? You can actually throw it in from the very edge of that camera zone, so you don't need to know exactly where you are. I'd like to see what more people think about this... so far it's 50/50.

Thanks!! Glad you liked it a lot. I don't have any more levels yet. I'll check out that Tardis though, but I can't promise I can say much because I haven't seen any of the 4th Doctor!

Ok I gave this one a try and I have to agree that for a first published level it is very good and quite fun to play. Unfortunately as has already been mentioned the camera angles can be a bit off putting, several times I either missed the goal because I was not as close as I thought I was or else I accidentally died by flying into the goal when it looked like I had more room to move. Of course this is not helped by the fact that my ability to throw things on LBP is about 50/50 (sometimes I can and sometimes I can't) so the resulting score was not really in my favour (lol)

The scoreboard itself was well pretty basic but well designed and the materials used gave it a nice futuristic sporty look, still I think this could also be improved. What if you somehow gave the players a choice of how many goals they need to score, whether it be 5, 10 or 15 (for example). Not sure how you would manage to implement this but I am sure someone on here will be able to help.

Well I didn't have any friends to check it out with, but i played around with it myself and it seemed to be a very well constructed air sockey rink! Goals that light up and a big flamboyant scoreboard take it to the top. 5/5 stars for the idea you were trying to accomplish.2010-07-29 15:54:00

Thanks guys! I'll play with the camera angles a bit. Maybe I can find a happy medium between emphasizing the location of the goal and killing depth perception.

I can think of a way to make the points needed variable... I could put the point detector on the "Score!" thing and have it raised or lowered with a switch, but it'd have to be on a separate layer to obscure the structure that was there and might look a bit bad from certain camera angles.
