No, you are right Malteh. The Killzone 2 beta is currently closed and only available to official beta testers. Word 'round the street is, it's going to become open soon. Not sure how they're going to give away codes; but I'm hoping it won't be 'The LittleBigPlanet way' @_@2008-10-15 13:46:00

It's only a closed beta to official beta testers in Europe, and random PSU users in the US.

The beta's in stage 2/3 at the moment, stage 3/3 being a massive open beta.

That should come in the next few months.

I can't wait.

Don't worry, open beta soon.

I'm a Killzone.com regular and all the 1 poster's ended up getting codes, that really made my day, but the real game is what I'm really looking forward to, it's my No.1 anticipated along with LBP.

It's gonna be EPIC! Anyone else here Killzone mad? :kz:

It looks good but it looks a bit repetitive. A tiny bit repetitive. It's the puzzles shown and the parts where you have to stay in one place for a certain time fighting off helgast. Don't get me wrong most shooters do but I thought Killzone will break through that wall..2008-10-15 21:28:00

What do you expect them to do?

It's meant to have that tactical element and not be so much of a run'n'gun shooter as so many on the market.

As long as they vary the missions, the enemies, and have it a decent length, it'll be awesome.

It's already broken the barrier with the graphics, and by the way people are responding to the beta, it WILL set a new standard.

Again, what do you find repetitive? We've only seen two levels.

I think he's saying

"Its repetitve because you have to kill people over and over again "

hieghtened by the fact that the people you kill are identical, for the most part.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but that's the KZ trademark sign. Red glowing eyes staring at you.

There's actually a big variety of enemies to face, have a look at this.

Every so often Sony have an open recruitment for Official Beta testers. You sign up and random people get picked. This then guarantees you a place in most betas.

They just held a huge recruitment I think, so don't get your hopes up. Also, the PS forums don't have much to do with it, you might just get picked for the occasional public beta there, nothing private.

Really? I'm in the EU too, and I was sure they do it over this site: http://betatest.software.eu.playstation.com/

Maybe they announce the odd beta over the forums, but I'm sure they do the official beta stuff there.
