Is it possible to make creatures follow a certain object?
Archive: 12 posts
Yeh so I am making a zombie survival level and I wanted the zombies to follow an object when i emit it.(Its a monkey) I know you can do this in LBP2 but I was just wondering if this is possible in LBP1. Any help? | 2010-07-25 22:24:00 Author: SackBoy98 ![]() Posts: 588 |
Mmmmm ... A child can not go to another by simply giving you LBP1 programming. You'd have to think of a monitoring system with magnetic keys ... I can I'll try to make a prototype, give me time ![]() | 2010-07-25 22:39:00 Author: Kaumy ![]() Posts: 63 |

It should work, but then again, I am far from an expert. | 2010-07-25 23:29:00 Author: schm0 ![]() Posts: 1239 |

I've done some work with mag key trackers. They work pretty well for the most part, but tend to jam up if there's more than one mag key of their color. My solution was to make the direction logic use winches and make one of the winches stronger than the other so that direction would have priority (for example, there's a winch to pull to the left and another to pull to the right; set the left winch's strength to 5 and the right winch's strength to 10. If the tracker encounters keys on both sides, it will go after the one on the right). I published a copyable demo level with mag key tracking missiles: an emitter fires off missiles which systematically wipe out all the keyed targets. It's not gonna' be exactly the same as setting up the zombies, but the theory is the same. | 2010-07-26 01:10:00 Author: Sehven ![]() Posts: 2188 |
@Sehven Confusing and complicated lol | 2010-07-26 05:59:00 Author: SackBoy98 ![]() Posts: 588 |
@Sehven Confusing and complicated lol That describes every great level's logic you just have to give it a try | 2010-07-26 06:19:00 Author: Racroz ![]() Posts: 406 |
Sehven's logic seems sound, I might have to use that at some point. Don't have a use yet but I can probably think 1 up (fetch a carrot onna stick for donkey etc) | 2010-07-26 08:47:00 Author: Strangepom ![]() Posts: 445 |
