Because not everything makes it into a game? Just because they exist in some form does not guarantee we will ever get them. Although I can't remember what was last said by Mm/Sony about Sephiroth or indeed how long ago that might have been.

I do think it's a little wierd that the official ( it was official wasn't it? ) contest winners costumes haven't seen the light of day yet. Actually I find it very strange. With Sephiroth I can understand the whole process of setting up deals with Square Enix or whatever but the bee costume...? I don't know... maybe one day.

Sephiroth's coat and shoes would be really cool... Who knows...maybe they'll be in LBP2, or maybe something happened that destroyed their fates in LittleBigPlanet for ever...I'm not stressin'

There was a bee costume?? Aww, I wanted to be a bumblebee and buzz around levels. I bet it will show up in a future More Animals pack. As for the Sephiroth costume, I do remember and am angered that we won't get it just because Square Enix wanted too much money. Maybe we'll get it one of these days if Sony and Square Enix talk it over again. Here's hoping.

It may not be something they can actually comment on since it involves a deal between two companies. I don't recall ever seeing an official post by Mm saying that Square wanted too much money (if there is such a post, could somebody provide a link?) To the best of my memory, one of the Mm guys was being vague about it, somebody (a forum member on lbw iirc), speculated that it was due to Square backing out or something. The Mm guy didn't specifically confirm but he gave a semi-positive reply. I don't know how to find that discussion though (think it was on lbw, but not sure), so take it with a grain of salt.

Seriosuly, did no one find it odd they had a "contest winner costume" way before the contest winner was announced. (I'm not sure here, but i think it was eben made before teh competition started.)

Wow, I hadn't heard about the bee costume until now. I wish they'd made it official. I plan on making a bee level someday (when I get LBP2 most likely), and having sackbots in bee suits would be awesome for NPCs...

So, Sephiroth was not released due to Square Enix wanting too much money. But what happened to the bee? Maybe... It was a beeta costume like the vest, but got replaced by the vest when they realised that they were giving away too many costume pieces. Just a thought.
