I seem to remember that it was possible to turn thin layers gaseous. Is that still possible and if so how do I do that? Can you turn thin objects into gas? PS: I did a search, but the search engine ignores the word gas so it's pretty useless.

Thin gas, as I know, is a glitch. You can try searching for it on LBP. (and appears that it is invisible. I never seen one ) You can turn any non-thin material into gas, so, if the object is made of materials, yes.

Aya has it as a prize in his latest level. Very handy stuff for barriers as it is invisible, you can grab it with a popit easy as well as corner edit. If you need something visible and thin... uhhhh the only way I know is to have something in the rear 3d glitch area as it will "look" thin. At least back when I was playing around with it.

You can still do it, by making a creature with a thin piece of material attached to it, making it a vulnerable, and dropping it into gas. Problem is that you can't stabilize the thin piece since Leerdammer. It's possible that my most recent tutorial (link in sig) will allow you to work around this, or just pick up some from my level (link in sig). Can you turn thin objects into gas? Some 3D objects can be gassed with the gas tool, and some can't, so you'll have to try it and see. I'm not sure if the creature brain hack works in these cases, but my instincts say "no".

You can turn regular "lamps" into gas. You can also pick up theck and thack gas from Aya's level, be careful with theck gas though as it kills a small amount of players that have been "infected".

I'm pretty sure you could gas an led with the creature brain hack, but you'd have to roll back to a previous version of lbp. It wouldn't do anything for you, though: since it's thin, it'd be invisible, and since it's dead (killed by creature brain), it won't cast any light.
