Metroid Prime style doors
Archive: 4 posts
I've been playing Metroid Prime Trilogy for the past couple days, man I played it on GCN and it's still a great game. But the door system is really great. If you create a big enough level it could make it almost and open world adventure. I was wondering if there will be guns or something of the form? Will it be able to shoot different bullets? For those that don't know about Metroid Prime's door system it's very creative and annoying when you want to play with the normal beam. Basically in Metroid Prime you get four different beam types. The normal beam, fire, ice, and plasma. Now throughout the game there are doors that when shot are opened. Blue doors are normal beam. Red doors are fire, white frosty doors are ice, and purple are plasma. Then there was black for the missiles to break a lock on the doors. Depending on the utilities in LBP2 I think this would be possible. It'd be very fun to create a huge open. Maybe remake Metroid series. What are your guys' thoughts on something like this? | 2010-07-25 08:29:00 Author: Keyeszx Posts: 65 |
This actually would be really easy. Place a few emitters on a sackbot than attach a sequencers to the DCS circut board and connect it to a button on the controller. Make it so that the sequencer determines what things are being fired by the emitter (different magnetic keys). Each magnetic key-or type of beam-will in turn open a certain type of door. So for example r2 will change beams and r1 will fire. | 2010-07-25 08:43:00 Author: Unknown User |
Would we be able to make the keys hurt enemies also? I completely forgot about sackbots. Man this game is going to open so many possibilities. | 2010-07-25 19:51:00 Author: Keyeszx Posts: 65 |
if you put the corresponding key on the enemies, yes. | 2010-07-29 06:15:00 Author: Unknown User |
