In pursuit of wealthJrange378
After further investigation, the professor discovers that the treasure he craves is near your camp deep in the jungle! You must make your way through the detailed brush in Pursuit of wealth.
I finally finished this level, been workin on it since april. It was originally intended to be my entry into LBW4, just a tad late though .
Its basically a 180 from my last level that that took place in a city with thugs and featured no gameplay. In this level i wanted to focus on having gameplay, but not just the usual "Jump here jump there, swing across" type gameplay. I tried to do some things that are genuinely unique and i think i succeeded at that.
But I did not give up visuals to make the gameplay. I also overstuffed the level with visual details and cartoony style.
I recommend playing with one player because i didnt test with multiple people, but people have completed it with 4 so it might be ok.
Thanks to Aya for the Thermo glitch
Hope you guys enjoy it and I want to know what you think! And of courdse ill be doing F4F for you guys who check it out.

P.S. I will get pictures up sooner or later, i dont have a usb but heard i can upload them using my ps3 so ill check that out.

First, good atmosphere. I really feel like I'm deep in the LBP forest in this level. Second, yes I'd say this level does hold up to your claim of original ideas. Custom switchs, sliding/propelling panels, all very nice. But the slingshot part is where I kept getting stuck. I tried many times to let that sucker rip on over into the log, but I couldn't get it to go in/do anything. I was pulling it straight back and letting it go. Was I doing it wrong. Let me know and I'd be glad to give it a re-try!

If you got time please try my "A Realm Forgotten" and leave a comment on my thread, Thanks!

Good level m8, 4 stars. I noticed there is a couple of areas where ppl could lose mucho lives. The bit where you have a large and small green ball, maybe put a light to the right as i went left lol. The bit near the end with the rotating greenery, i would put a camera in angle it towards the finish!2010-07-25 09:30:00

Thanks for the feedback! That seems to be the part a lot of people are getting stuck at. I elaborated on the hint in level. Your suppose to get the red ball on top of the rock using the lift and pull it all the way back to the green light, and release. It should get trapped in the log and the wood door goes up. You can mash X to get it far back there.

Ill be sure to give your level a try and give feedback!

Hi there,

+ The waterfall effect
+ The bridge to fix
+ The plants with spikes
+ The horizontal "tap quick"
+ Very nice atmosphere (lights, layers management, materials)

- The vertical and oblique "tap quick" (cut the game play experience I found)
- When I was blocked by a wall in front of the professor I didn't see right away the map, maybe add a notification
- I got stuck here :

(I saw the level was continuing on the left but didn't find the way to go further)

Anyway for the well designed atmosphere I gave a :star::star::star::star::star:

Thanks for the feedback. You are actually suppose to go right and the path to the left opens up later. Thats what the swing is for.
Also, you do receive a notification. When the map drops down it clearly says "I should bring this to the professor". Sorry for any confusion and i hope you get to finish later!
