Christmas 1999, I got a playstation with my brother
We also got two games, F1 99 and Croc 2.

Croc 2 is really an awesome game, with a spectacular soundtrack. Oh the nostalgia when I just think about it...

First console was my dad's PS1, first game was F1 '97, which is to date the best game ever.

Also, this should be in Gaming chat, not general chat, might wanna ask a mod to move it

I remember my first time... it was a sleepover with 2 of my friends. We were 13. It got dark and we got to playing truth or dare. One thing led to another and.... well

and we played Super Smash Bros!
you know how it goes your first time. it was awkward, i really didn't know what went where, what to touch, what not to touch, but i think all in all we had a good time. we had no idea what we were doing of course

Well,

My gaming soul awakened when I was still a small child, I used to play these on PC:

-Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters (http://www.romulation.net/files/screenshots/roms/PSX/21625/s_0.jpg)

-Pickup Express (http://jesper.svennevid.se/_/rsrc/1230496579109/work/uds/pickup1.jpg) (only in Brazil, not sold anymore)

This was my first gaming apparatus. (http://www.acrgames.com.br/imagens/site/dynavision2.jpg)

A lot of time after, I got a PS2. One of my favorite games was GTA San Andreas.

The PS3 was a surprise, my dad bought one when he went to the US, and I only knew that when he came back home. (I found a dismounted PS3 box on his baggage, and went like WTH?)

Little Big Planet... I saw it on some flyers that came with the PS3. I looked at it and thought: never seen a game like this before...
I got the game by randomness. My grandma wanted to buy us a game, and she bought LBP!
It took a while until we managed to get a permantent connection to the web in the PS3. Now I'm playing online!

ATARI
Or was it the original Gameboy? (big 'ol piece of equipment, green screen, 4 batterie required, and an akward on/off switch.)
I don't remember, whichever came out first i guess.
Probably ATARI.

You know, the one with the computer monitor, and the original Joystick (i think) and that racing game.

At least that's the earliest i remember.
Idk, when it was, when i was 4 maybe?
I just know i became a gamer since a really really early age.

Since then i've pretty much owned or at least played every single "known" (as in the ones every one speaks of, not counting the barely known ones that only sold for like a year and went down the forgotten hole.) console released.

The ones i don't remember ever owning but still played at a friend's or cousin's house are.
Sega Saturn
XBOX (Original and 360)
Gameboy SP & DS
PSP (all)

Oh good original gaming days, may not have incredible graphics like today, but they sure were fun.

First console was the PS1. I didn't "buy" the thing, being what? 7 years old? well um yeah, I was really excited about it because one of my brothers had one with MGS and I loved the look of that. But I didn't get to pick the games that came with, my first 2 were Battle Arena Toshinden and Destruction Derby. I just remember this kind of magic, of course if I went and played either of those now they would play like rubbish but to me back then they were highly entertaining. The first time I actually got to pick a game I got Crash Bandicoot and I can safely say that's the one that made me go gaga I couldn't get enough ever since then!2010-07-24 01:49:00

I feel old! I remember playing King's Quest and all the Seirra adventure games, lol. First system was the big grey Nintendo when I was about 5. Then we turned into a Sega family. I took a break from gamming through my teens, and started back up again for Fatal Frame 2 in my early 20's.2010-07-24 08:11:00

I tried playing Fatal Frame 2 when I was 10. Of course, me and my brothers made fun of it, with that prepubescent "OMG You kill ghosts with a camera that's so *** that game is so stupid" just to cover up the fact that it scared the living bejeezus out of us. God, that game petrified me. Got to a room with an unkillable ghost and quit and sold the game. It was too much.

Why must everyone mock Fatal Frame? D: Being different is so hard.....

My first game was...Actraiser for the SNES. Though I do vaguely remember playing NES. My older sister said when I was 2, she had me on her lap, and when she paused to go take a break, I picked up the controller and tried to play. I like to think I played video games since I was born

But Actraiser was the game that did it for me. The sound track, the gameplay, everything about that game was so perfect. Its also how I learned to appreciate game music.

This was the song that really made me sad. Ahh good memories....

Tetris, Bust-a-move, Hogs of war and syphon filter for the PS1. Playing those every evening with my dad got me hooked on gaming!

It was little big planet that got me set on wanting to go into game design!

I also had a gameboy colour with that mario doctor thingy... Did that come before or after PS1? I can never remember XD

i don't really have an intresting game story... but this is how it is:
i was about 3-5 years old and was with my moms friends son, we where playing super mario 64 alot together...
then it was at my dads house, my neighbour had yoshi's story, we played that alot together...
then it was my brothers friend, he had some kind of fighting game on ps1, we played that alot together...

And finally i got my own console, Ps1 rayman 1, my brother, my dad and i played it alot together... dad was better than us in the beginning... but now i can complete the whole game in 5 hours, (tryed yesterday) my best game i've ever had... it's as good as lbp in a diffrent way... ******* the rabbids rayman origins ftw! and lbp ofc!

(fun fact first game to ps1=rayman1, first game to pc=rayman2 great escape, first game to ps2=rayman3 hoodlum havoc, first game to ps3=ratchet and clank and uncharted.... first game to psp=ratchet and clank size matters, first game to n64=yoshi's story, mario 64 and 20 more games... ;] )

Haha, the only reason we mocked it was because of how terrifying we all knew it was. It's easier to not play a horror game and say you think it's dumb rather than tell the truth and say that it horrifies you.

Nowadays I acknowledge it was scary, but I wasn't a big horror fan when I was TEN! I was quite disappointed when I learned Nintendo wasn't publishing Fatal Frame 4 in America.

Pacman, from the arcade machine in the local movie rentals store.

One can of soda, $5 worth of quarters, and a whole lot of free time.

Nuff said.

Atari 2600, Centipede and Space Invaders. Of course I didn't really pay much mind to it so I guess my gaming experiences really fully started with NES and Gameboy. I still wasn't interested in getting games for myself... until SNES.

Stunt Race FX sold the SNES to me. I was amazed by the jaw dropping 3D graphics.

Either PS1 or PS2 (it was so long ago). My first memories are Spiderman on the PS1 and Medal of Honour: Frontlines on PS2. At the age of 9 I felt like such a rebel playing a 12+ rated game. XD

I also remember being terrified at the prospect of playing the first Half Life. Now I can laugh my way through Ravenholm in Half Life 2.

Magnavox Odyssey 1. The graphics were static-sensitive plastic sheets you placed on the television screen, and the controllers were gigantic paddle controllers. The games were small plastic circuit-board looking things that slid into the console.

Yes, this was pre-pong.

The first console was a NES. (No, when i got it, PSX was out already.. o.o)
And the first game I've played was Cowboy Kid, the best NES game EVER...in my opinion o.o
and the second was Show do Milh?o (Show of the Million), that was a question game, like ''Buzz!'', exacly like Who want be millionaire? of the UK/US tv. Show do Milh?o was also a TV program in the channel SBT in 2009 and around 2000.
And my third game was, coincidently, Pickup Express, like gdn001. I loved that game, but the problem is that the car have gas, so we have a certain only time of game. It was sold in Brazil a long time ago by the program: Domingo Legal (Cool Sunday), that was also a TV program by the channel SBT
