Hey guys- I just had an idea. What if I would host high score contests for levels released that aren't getting enough attention? The winner would receive somewhere around 50 XP, it would be fun, and best of all, it would draw more attention to their levels. So - what do you think? I have a poll, and if 75% says I should host a high score contest each week on levels not getting enough attention, then I'll probably go ahead and try it. I'm just trying to figure out what the community thinks. If you have any thoughts on it, post them! I would really like to hear them! ~Insane

Wow this is both selfless and an excellent idea. I'm sure plenty of people would sign up to give 50XP and then you wouldn't even have to give out tonnes all the time. There could be some sort of rota e.g. week 1 = this is insane, week 2=Cybversora I'd definately be willing to help out

It looks like I'll be going ahead with it, then. I'll probably host the first contest in about a week. I don't really want to over-schedule myself with the Insane Score contest going on... In the meantime, any ideas for an awesome name?

Well, I think the way I would have it is that the creator can enter, but it is just-for-fun. Or maybe even they would have a smaller prize (maybe 15 XP?) and then the person in second place would get the normal prize of 50 XP. Now that I think about it, some of the creators who's levels are picked for the contests might not even be a LBPC member, meaning I wouldn't really have to worry about it. It's definitely something I'll be considering, among the other things.

This is a great idea! It'd be a great thing to look forward to each week, as well as being a nice way of promoting levels that people may have worked tirelessly on, only to remain unnoticed. Wonderful idea!

I think it would be a good idea to have these contests with only new levels, to boost plays and feedback. It could help people struggling to get recognised. Have fun! Don't think I'd do very well though. Even with my own levels I don't think I could get the high scores.

so far 100% say yes so could I volunteer push da button (my latest level) it has a "secret" race mode. I may give the activation instructions if you put it on the list. good luck with the weekly thingy
