What is / are these games? Obscure memories of games from PS1...

OK. First game is there is this bird that's either a friend or partner to the main character, he's red and has blue around his eyes I think . There is one scene where a girl is taking a shower and the bird is flying around her and I think the girl is yelling at the bird. Something like that. It's all hand drawn / anime style, the scene.

Another game, IT MIGHT EVEN BE THE SAME GAME, who knows... on PS1 of course, its' some kind of RPG... some kind of legendary, mythology sounding name. I remember that the characters in the game are 3D models with really blurry face textures.

Um. ideas?

Edit - I figured it out. The Granstream Saga. And yes both of those are indeed the same game, to the best of my knowledge. Even if they're not, I think I'd need more to go on a game than remembering "temple like area" and "characters with blurry faces" .. .. lol		2010-07-22 14:29:00

I have an obscure memory of a PS1 game that involves a bird! It might be the same game as yours! Did yours have an odd beginning with some for a wind like a dust storm and the girl gets carried away? And how one boss is a dragon thing over water?2010-07-23 04:34:00

HAHA While I'm at it, anyone remember an RPG of sorts on PS1 where you play as (or at least start out as ) a cartoonized version of a knight? Blue armor, helmet and all... lol hmm well I'm browsing the web and it is very difficult to find anything when typing most of your hints into google.

Another game I never played or even heard of before this

Legend of Dragoon

It's compared a lot to FFVII visually, think they are around the same time.

Lol I thought that might be it but I'm not sure. To be honest I only have the vaguest image of the blurry face game in my head.

I can remember it being a 3-D game, but with 2-D movement. I remember a dragon, or maybe a robot, boss that comes out of the water you can walk on 2 sides of a rock thing with a somewhat 3-D movement. Another thing I remember is part of the first level where its like your leaving a village and everything is like a mountainous, green field with a waterfall. Lastly, I remember a cutscene where the bird and a girl are together in a field, and a dark cloud rolls over a some black fog/dust storm starts rushing towards them and the bird reaches safety, but the girl does not.2010-07-26 00:20:00

I figured it out! Haha.. I typed in Guardian's Crusade in gamestop and eventually the other game Came up. Yes both my examples were the same game.

I love Alundra : ) I never beat it, unfortunately. VERY unfortunately! I'll have to find my copy again and beat it!

I beat it 100%. twice. beat it normally on the ps1 after like a year of playing, got to 100% on the ps2, then got 100% on pc (yes).
to get 100% you have to get all the gilded falcons and life vessels etc. This includes beating the roulette minigame 3 times, which is by far the hardest part.

I don't count getting the legend sword, because you only get the legend sword if you die alot.		2010-08-05 15:21:00
