Weird Game Break Glitch

Archive: 12 posts

OK. So I found this weird glitch thing while bouting up my copy of LBP. It went to the loading screen thing that says not to turn off the system when this thing is flashing. Then my PS3 froze right there. I was like "Oh s***." So I did a hard restart and went to see if anything bad happened. The game loaded, great, I checked to see if anything was missing on my levels, all good, then I went to create mode... I went to my switches and clicked on them but a red ! mark appeared on them. And do you guys know the little code thing that appars on the screen when the game is in beta or something? It was there! Saying stuff like: /*ERROR* //??LOADFAIL??. I was like OMG! When I pressed more information for the switches it said
Button
Tutorial
X Delete X
and there was no vid. But, DELETE??? It is like I owned the object or someting but I couldn't use it! I went to the button tutorial and did it just fine. I went back to the switches I could now use them but there were still glitched up. I decided to try restarting the game and it worked beautifully afterwards.
But, there scared me half to death. I would put pics up of it but I have no camera right now and I'm scared to try and do it.
If anyone has had this before please tell me so I know I'm not the only one. But, if it's a new glitch after 1.28 I thought I should put this up here to warn ppl.
Edit: No one's posted but ppl looked at it. I'm starting to think you guys don't believe me

..Or nobody's seen it before?

I've never had it, but if it's working ok now, I wouldn't worry.

Perhaps revert back to an old profile to be on the safe side, you probably borked things when you reset.

Don't call it glitch, it's a real bug.
Yeah, I had it a couple of times.
I lost some of my saved costumes, and I had to collect again the stuff from the POTC DLC.
The last time everything reverted back without problems.
Anyway, the datas was clearly corrupted.

Your data is just corrupted, don't know if its corrupted completly or temporarly since you said you didn't check anymore, so can't help much.

Heh, good thing you back up your data constantly like its always reccomended to do, right?
...

Right...?

I did continue checking and everything is how it was. Took me a while though... I do back up my data whenever I turn it on and before I turn it off ( a little paranoid). I don't think that it was corrupted I just think the game did'nt load completly because it froze on the load screen. It was a good thing I didn't delete the switches becuse that would suck...

It's happened. I deleted basic metal when it corrupted (The material is ugly, anyways.) But you can get them back after deleting by doing a tutorial.2010-07-22 23:09:00

Ugly?

Basic Metal is by far the greatest material that ever there was!
