YT movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W51IXnTd6yc Note: This level started out as just some visuals for the logic pack me and clay released, but it became so much more that we created a level out of it. The level is made as a tribure to logic, made by fans of logic for fans of logic and anybody who worked with logic should be able to appreciate the witty comments and visuals in this level. To top the original and amazing looking visuals off, we created a nice boss as well. The logicpack can be found by clicking on this url. (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30933-Thermo-Optimised-Logic-Pack&p=538154#post538154) Special thanks: First of all C_McKamey, the way you pump out logic is just amazing. Dude, you made Prox work within 3 days! My friends and family for putting up with me playing lbp way to much. all the fans, friends and fellow creators that dropped by to awe at the level and keep my spirits up! And more thanks for Adi, as he almost forced me to make this into a level rather than just some place to store some logic in. Enjoy! Any comments, reviews and head-up's for problems in-game are appreciated! I would also like to know what you people think of the conversations in-game. | 2010-07-20 19:25:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |

Looks like a really creative use for a bunch of switch-triggers! Ill get to playing it some time, after it's published, of course. :SH: | 2010-07-20 20:03:00 Author: ThePineapplizer Posts: 769 |

OMG That Looks Awsome! Gotta Play When it comes out! | 2010-07-20 21:45:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thanks for the opportunity to preview this level Luos! Once again your overall level ambiance is simply brilliant. I really loved the imagination you put into re-creating models of the LBP logic hardware and using them as gameplay elements. I also loved the use of actual logic parts for decorations. I've never seen this before, but it was brilliantly executed. The aboriginal tribe band is awesome! I have always liked your characters and story lines, and the Tribe doesn't disappoint. I also enjoyed the final boss battle. I mentioned these items to you this morning, but in case I wasn't clear enough, I thought I would mention my suggestions herein. I'm not sure I would have been able to figure out how the AND/OR gate puzzle worked on my own. If the idea was for the player to experiment until they got it right, then it's obviously fine. If there was supposed to be some intuitive way for a player to figure out which way an AND gate goes, and which way an OR gate goes, I didn't catch it. I also have no idea how the heck to find that elevator after the chief. Lastly, if you are playing with more than 1 player and one player stays on the elevator, you end up going back down and timing out. Great stuff again! 4 stars+heart from me once its released. (5 stars if I can find the elevator on my own.) | 2010-07-20 21:47:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |

The levels will be released tomorrow. (one being this level, another some sort of logic pack with various modular logic, water logic, cutscene logic etc. I also have no idea how the heck to find that elevator after the chief. Lastly, if you are playing with more than 1 player and one player stays on the elevator, you end up going back down and timing out. Great stuff again! The more experienced creators that have used the lbpc logicpack will probably understand the and or puzzle in a second, but since there are only 4 possibilities.. it shouldnt be too hard to figure out. I updated the speech at the chief so that it is more clear on what to do, also fixed the lift going back down. thank you all for your comments! | 2010-07-21 03:41:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |

Hey snail its ok, I was a bit grumpy sorry for that. Hope you enjoy the level more playing than watching it being build | 2010-07-21 16:27:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Of all the levels Luos and I have worked together on, this one is probably nearest and dearest to my heart. It's not a huge crater filling level, or full of epic puzzles and platforming, but it is very unique and the theme hits close to home for me. Anyone who knows me knows my love of logic and to see it used in such an original and visually appealing way brings a smile to my face. This level is also the first time that I have built non-contraption, purly decorative items that I felt were "good" and worth including in a level. The boss as well uses some interesting logic techniques and the results are for me, both visually appealing as well as fun to play. I really hope everyone enjoys the fight as much as I enjoyed creating the logic. As always, super fun times in the editor with Luos, Robocrash, and everyone else who stopped by during the creation of this level. Hope everyone enjoys it, C_McKamey | 2010-07-21 16:53:00 Author: c_mckamey Posts: 62 |
I love this, so much. Dialogue was quick and clever. The characters were unique. The visuals were stunning, I've never seen anything like it! You pulled off this theme with a vengeance, everything fits! Easy 5 stars, easy heart, among my favorite levels (despite myself being weak in terms of logic creation ). The only thing I might change is the boss. I think it takes too many shots to kill, and meanwhile, there should be more hazards. It wasn't really that risky, I felt, and considering how long I took I should have been dying more. Not saying I didn't love the boss, and think it was super cool, but I think with the advent of infinite checkpoints you can make it a tad more difficult? This should make up for the time lessened by reducing the number of shots to kill. Or maybe you could just deal with that by giving more shots on the gun . But it's not my level. Bravo! | 2010-07-21 17:12:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
I played the level and here's what I thought. The scenery was gorgeous as usual for your levels. Also, I liked the story plus you really captured the switches and I liked the capitalizing and or and some others. The level might be short but the boss battle rocks. I love how people have used the platforms raising into the spikes a lot just like in the marvel pack and I loved how you made it into a boss battle plus at first it may seem like you'll never kill the boss with such limited ammo but over time it really shows you to save your shots and using them at the right time. So not only is it an amazing level with a nice story and awesome scenery, but it also makes you smarter in a way I guess. Overall, I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 Oh, and also it's now a five star level instead of a four star level. Congrats! | 2010-07-21 17:28:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
I just played it. This is probably one of my favorite levels so far. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: and <3 . | 2010-07-21 17:39:00 Author: AbstractFlesh Posts: 837 |

I was blown away. The character design is epic and smart. The visuals are beautiful. The logic obstacles were fun and genious. The boss battle was unique. The dialogue was hilarious and witty. Pretty much everything was perfect. And so, I announce it my favourite LBP level of all time. I know that's quite a feat but the impact the level gave was massive. :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 | 2010-07-21 22:04:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
Hiya- I just played AND I am stunned! Your levels are always great, but this one is............ greaterrific! The whole concept was ingenious, AND I loved the boss! There's not much else to say, because we all know that this level is epic! I rated the level :star::star::star::star::star: AND <3ed the level. | 2010-07-22 03:24:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
Amazing level and great boss fight! I really liked how you used switches to decorate the level and characters. Pretty creative i have to say (in my opinion) I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3! | 2010-07-22 05:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
This level = epic squared . The story was funny and really creative. The environment was like no other. The characters were one of a kind. The platforming was easy, yet challenging at the same time. It tests your patience alot! I only have 1 gripe with this level: the boss floor. That area gave me so much trouble. Sometimes when I grabbed a gun and I tried to jump forward, off the gun platform before the gas under kills me, and it would throw me to the front layer. Since theres no floor or wall in front of it I die from the gas. This happened like...3 times I think. I still got a top 10 score though . Other than the front layer being open this level is perfect to me. 5 stars, a <3 and a creator heart for the both of you. | 2010-07-22 05:36:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Absolutely LOVED the whole thing. The AND and ORs were a clever and funny addition. I especially loved how you incorporated the switches into the design of your characters (which were amazing!). And the boss fight! Wow! Never played anything like it! It did feel a little short, but maybe that was because I wanted more. 5 :star:s and <3'd | 2010-07-22 08:39:00 Author: Pulsemap Posts: 92 |
This is great level: fantastic designs and atmosphere, funny little story, whacky humour & good obstacles. Topped of with a cool and entertaining bossfight. One suggestion: maybe add a few more shots to the paintenator? That would increase the pace somewhat. What I like best in this level is its originality. Odds are you've never played anything like Logic Island before. Great job. | 2010-07-22 15:07:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
That level was fantastic! It was so fun and so unique. I haven't seen a level quite like this one before; in a good way :] The level had a great intro, the characters were nicely made, you guys nailed the island atmosphere and design perfectly, the gameplay was refreshing, and the boss was entertaining also! It was just a joy to play! My only complaints occured during the boss fight: 1. You should put something in front of the main platform so the player cannot jump into the plane in front and die. Not as big of a deal if the player is aware of it, but even after I did it the first time, I fell down again... Mostly my fault though. Ha! 2. Nothing you can really do about this, but sometimes the paintinator platform would take my with it into the gas because I either:[1]Got trapped behind a platform moving upward so I couldn't plane-shift forward or [2] it would just take me down with for whatever reason. Overall, a brilliant level, which in my opinion, deserves some recognition! ;] *nudge, nudge. Spotlight. Wink, wink* :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 | 2010-07-22 15:36:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
This level is very polished and a 5-star must play. The level is built extremely well, but what takes it over the top in my opinion is the story about LBP logic. Very funny and very original. I'd strongly urge anyone LBP creator to check this out as you will appreciate the logic jokes/references. | 2010-07-22 15:37:00 Author: Lockstitch Posts: 415 |
I might add a thin gas layer to prevent players falling down, personally I am not bothered by it though thanks guys, you are putting a smile on my face | 2010-07-22 17:12:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Cool so this is what you were working on lol Now i have to play it | 2010-07-22 19:13:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
This was ingenious! I thought the visuals were superb and the monuments of switches looked great. Had a good few chuckles at the character design. I did sometimes get thrown about odd places but it's pretty high speed in parts so that can't be controlled. I really loved it though, great work! :star::star::star::star::star: + <3 ! | 2010-07-22 23:52:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |
Hey the level is out now well i guess its been out for a day already but anyways great level luos i love the proxbutterflys (also i cant believe the amazing boss at the end give clay my thanks) | 2010-07-23 00:00:00 Author: Unknown User |
It was great apart from when I fell in the water near the start, there was no way to get back to where I was supposed to be. Still it looked nice | 2010-07-23 01:37:00 Author: cthulhu82 Posts: 211 |
You fell in the water at the start? How did you manage to do that, when clay mentioned your post last night me, brownie and clay have been jumping around like crazy, but couldnt find a way to get into the water. there was one spot at entrance of 2nd island but thats fixed now. could you tell me where it was exactly? | 2010-07-23 12:24:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Hmm well it seems I can longer get into the water, which is good I guess but means my doing it yesterday must have been a one off oh and it was just after you got off the canoe with the two guys telling the story. Instead of walking up the ramp to the guy next to the check point he stepped forward and into the water | 2010-07-23 13:22:00 Author: cthulhu82 Posts: 211 |
Great stuff! Very original theme. Lots of lovely visuals. 5 stars + heart. Must play level! | 2010-07-23 13:52:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
I really had some laughs at the boat scene where the figure told me about creating LBP in 7 days. Design was amazing and so were the use of the switches and switch replicas. Great homage to LBP and its logics! Well done Love and Hearts and Stars and Stripes and a Cookie for you | 2010-07-23 14:38:00 Author: TOBSn08 Posts: 143 |
Great great level. The stone statues are awesome and the story was delicious. I can't find anything wrong with it, except the teeth for plants don't really work. Five stars + heart. | 2010-07-23 16:45:00 Author: Richasackboy Posts: 619 |
Teeth arent plants, just rocks And only creators really see them as teeth | 2010-07-23 17:37:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
I finally got to play this one last night...(was at work and had to wait for the big wigs to leave)...and was blown away by your newest creation. I was lucky enough to get a preview of this one while you were creating it...though I never got to see it in action. The storyline and your use of logic as a character was utterly brilliant and the gameplay was fun and never boring. As always the visuals were top notch...which is a given coming from you. Of course....5 stars, Heart, and a Brilliant Tag Shawn | 2010-07-23 23:49:00 Author: shawneboi Posts: 221 |
incidentally i found this level COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT (quick play...thank you for doing this quick play option...i loooove you) and all i can say is.. wow......this was one of the BEST levels i've ever played on LittleBigPlanet...the THEME of Logic was a bit puzzling at first until i saw the residents and notice "holy ****...they're logic pieces" and then i continued playing reading the great story of LBP history...and was even amazed to see the STONE LOGIC pieces around like if this was a ruin/temple....and all i can say again is...wow 5 stars, hearted the level and you as an author.... hopefully when LBP2 comes out you'll make a sequel to this (with more logic and microchips and sackboys and such....i'm sure you'll make the sequel even better) but until then i hope you can think of another THEMED level such as this and go for it....i for one love this level and hope to see something similar in LBP2 (RPG? lol nah....maybe?) | 2010-07-24 05:39:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Fantastic level! Boss part was tough though, I would grab the gun, but I kept falling into the gas with it. 5 stars and 1 heart. | 2010-07-24 08:59:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |

I pretty much loved everything in the level, but the visuals in particular stood out to me as unique. Ha, this was excellent! I love the representation of interactive logic instead of it all being hidden behind the scenes , I will have to check out the logic pack later but it got stuck waiting to load the linked levels. The visuals did stand out... it was one of your more unique level Luos and kamey! Congrats on all the great reception and the spotlight! This was brilliant! One of the most unique level ideas I've ever seen! Pros: Amazing Visuals Awesome Story Great way to use logic and keys for decoration and the level Epic final boss Cons: On the final boss, I get layer shifting into the layer of the paintinator, even though the paintinator was hidden. Easily, :star::star::star::star::star: should be given from everybody! | 2010-07-25 19:09:00 Author: Phosphorus15 Posts: 463 |
Excellent level there Luos! I simply had a blast. It's also beautiful and original. I love love the switches/trigge theme and the gameplay you made with them. I wonder why I didn't see much huge pistons and huge chains up until now it the community, this is so cool. My only down (and it's not a major one) is that the boss seemed long and repetitive for me. Once I understood how to kill it, I felt like I had to repeat the patern too many times for it's own good. Anyhow, great idea of a boss nonetheless. Continue your good work!! :star::star::star::star: + <3 | 2010-07-25 19:37:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Funny thing about the boss is, Rohar was playing with a random person, who thought the boss was too hard and rage-quited the level. Some people find it a tad hard, but most lbpc-ers find it too easy. Well.. you cant please everyone! Next time Ill make a boss that you wont be able to defeat? how about that! | 2010-07-26 11:47:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
I had the same RangerZero's concern. The boss wasn't hard, but the pattern was to be repeated too many times. Playing it alone is nightmareish. And I must add that it was unfortunate that I played your level just after Joey's Red Zone, that has a questionable boss too. Anyway, I absolutely loved the story, the contraptions and the visual style, all things that made you forget the boss. But yeah, that's a pity, since this level could have been a masterpiece, a classic, for the ideas and the story more than everything. I rated it 5 stars, but in my book it's more near to a 4/4 and a half. You know, I'm always very picky with you Luos, but I think that a great creator can become even greater with humbleness and some sincerity from friends. | 2010-07-26 13:31:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
And thats why I appreciate your comment If I came up with the theme prior to building stuff I would change a lot to the level, just to satisfy the idea's I still got roaming in my head. I do hope that my next level wil top this one... | 2010-07-26 16:36:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
And thats why I appreciate your comment If I came up with the theme prior to building stuff I would change a lot to the level, just to satisfy the idea's I still got roaming in my head. I do hope that my next level wil top this one... It will for sure Luos! I'm confident, still...I think that you're concentrating more on the tech side, you should try to work on something simple and fun. There's still this need to satisfy yourself, while you have accomplished most of the things possible on the game, and you don't have anything to prove anymore, so try to take it easy. | 2010-07-26 17:19:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
NO! NEVER! Maybe after I finish sack-6-2 I will concentrate on other stuff.. I created the coolest lightsabre's ever, but since all it requires is a simple room.. I dont want to create it. I rather spend my time on stuff thats out of my reach. | 2010-07-26 17:33:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
OK... I should have responded late last week, but I had a lot of things going on, including a swift water rescue course I took this weekend, which resulted in a deep tissue bruise of my right thigh, and some other minor scrapes and bruises, but if you ever happen to fall out of your canoe in Class IV or V white water, I'll be able to help rescue you. Anyway, I played the level myself for the first time late last week, and realized most of the problem I had with the level had to do with trying to follow Luos and Clay at break neck speed. It was like trying to process how pretty all the pit crew uniforms look from inside the driver's cockpit of an Indy race car at 200mph. In the end, it was much easier to follow the logic puzzles (in fact, I am embarrassed I said anything in the first place) and I had no problems finding the elevator! (Go, me!) So, I've jumped onto the Tribe bandwagon with both feet, and gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3. | 2010-07-26 17:57:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
Ok, I can not state this any more clearly... for the introduction alone... you have my heart and five stars. Amazingly written, original, and by far one of the most creative things I have ever laid my eyes on. Materials, stickers, decorations, et all looked beautiful... Seriously, I don't know either one of you guys but visually in every aspect I just wanted to drop dead with envy. I didn't however... which is bad for all of us. (I should preface by stating I have a moderate understanding of logic... I normally can manage to get done what I need, but my logic is far from efficient or streamlined... but works.) On the island, I understood what the puzzles wanted me to do-- (and they looked cool ) but they seemed stupidly backwards and everything felt counter-intuitive (to me), and a poor example at best, of LOGIC. Additionally, the boss, (and that stupid gas), was a huge letdown... (I think with that intro, anything might have been a letdown... as a demo for your logic pack it works great... but for a standalone level not much happens) I mean everyone is giving you a free pass on this boss, guys... You know what that means right? Well, either I'm wrong (voted-out, the tribe has spoken) or you've stopped listening to your audience (not that you have to... I sometimes ignore My five!) ... like when after you have received many many complaints about the boss/paintanator/gas situation you respond... I may put a piece of invisible thin gas there... but it doesn't bother me... Well ,it is your masterpiece, and I do think it is a masterpiece, I also think it'd be a heckuvalot more playble with the addition of a little thin gas. For an amazing level, that was born out of the desire to help sell a logic-pack, I found that bit of logic... amazingly illogical. | 2010-07-26 21:35:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
I agree with Gravel's opinions on the boss. I thought the level was very good, but the boss needs a little bit of work to make the level just that much better. Just a little bit of thin gas in the front layer eliminated about 50% of the boss' problems. | 2010-07-26 21:54:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
When I tested the boss, and when I fight it now.. I never, ever fall into the gas below and I cannot understand that some of you have so much problem layer-shifting after so many years in lbp. "or you've stopped listening to your audience"Dont get me wrong, But I make levels because I want to, not because I got an audience. That is just a very fortunate addition and responce to what I create. On the island, I understood what the puzzles wanted me to do-- (and they looked cool ) but they seemed stupidly backwards and everything felt counter-intuitive (to me), and a poor example at best, of LOGIC. Imho very offensive, and... what puzzles? there are no puzzles just one point where you have to set an AND and OR in the right direction.. if that is allready a puzzle then so is putting on your pants. like when after you have received many many complaints about the boss/paintanator/gas situation you respond... I may put a piece of invisible thin gas there... but it doesn't bother me...Because it friggin does not bother me, The level is still my creation and If I had to listen to the whole audience I had to make two versions of this level one for the people who chew on their controller rather than holding it in their hands and one for the people who think Roller.Inc (comph's level) was too easy. lbws: I played this level last night. It was incredible. Prox may be a little too tough though. I was pretty tired when I played, so that may have something to do with it, but I gave up after a while, because getting a hit on him seemed almost impossible. While others find it too easy, it is impossible to satisfy everyone. (I think with that intro, anything might have been a letdown... as a demo for your logic pack it works great... but for a standalone level not much happens)Ex-Demo-tour, I explained that, lemme quote it: This level started out as just some visuals for the logic pack me and clay released, but it became so much more that we created a level out of it.And for your sake, I added that invissi thin layer at prox. But I feel happy Yes I do. | 2010-07-27 11:53:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
...As long as you're gonna take it like a man... (and not ignore my first paragraph). Now, if you'll excuse me-- I'm going to attempt those pants... yet again. | 2010-07-27 14:20:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
Ok, so I played this level a few days ago, and I finally have time to give my feedback so here goes; Gameplay I loved the gameplay in this level. There were loads of little logic-based puzzles which at times I found my self thinking, "How did he do that?!" I do agree the boss could use a bit of work, but otherwise I found it really creative and orginal. It also kept with the puzzle genre of the level, as it took me a few tries to figure out how to defeat him. But after that it was very simple and enjoyable. (However it would be nice if he changed up his attacks every so often, I found myself only dying about twice.) Visuals The visuals showed greatly what you do best Luos, landscaping. The 3D glitch was used to great effect (as always ) and I really loved the style you were going for. I also found how you used different switches as scenery, characters etc (e.g. the people in the tribe's hands were grab switches) which I found really cool and creative. I also really like how you have the ability to seemlessly transport the player from a very scenic outdoor area, into a crumbling temple. Rating I really enjoyed this level and gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 | 2010-07-28 10:19:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |

Hey Gravel, Sorry for my last comment. I just came out of bed (with both feet on the wrong side of the bed), I should have thought twice before writing what I did. That said, I think it was couragious to say the least to write what you did and I respect you for that, My humble appologies for over-reacting in a luos way. Good luck with the pants.. I actually ended up with my leg outside the pants.. when they where halfway in.. Yes.. I ripped my pants... Expect a private msg in a few minutes! | 2010-07-28 11:46:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |

I thought this level was awesome. It was one of the most original levels ever. Loved the whole logic theme. It wasn't perfect but I won't bother critiquing it because I enjoyed it that much. I gave it five stars and a heart. | 2010-07-30 22:28:00 Author: antman Posts: 84 |

Sorry for being late to give some feedback here... Well, how should I start? "On the 8th day, there was NEO, playing this awesome level..." :-) I can't put my emotions in words after playing this wonderfull level. I mean, "epic" is used often when people try to describe a level thats absolutley great. But I never used it with such a conviction. This level IS EPIC. The start-area is so neat - very brilliant with this worshiping tribe-guys The dialogs are among the best I've ever read on lbp - the "genesis-dialog" is sooooo epic.... just wonderful... I didn't cry but I was close :?-) The style of your writing is great - to use big letters for all the logic-stuff is a very cool idea The visuals - oh boy - wonderfull and very funny - the idea to use the logic-elements in that specific way is - puh - out of this world. The boss - very nice concept - wasn't real hard but very nice in style The usage of the 3d-glitch gives this world an incredibble depth - wonderful AND my persONal favORite in here: the bANDd - oh my goodness OH MY GOODNESS WHAT WAS THAT??? First I thougt there must be a new mm-music-pack in the store but when I saw this jamming tribe I realised that it's a self created percussion gig :-) I love the guitar player - he rocks!!! All in all a fantastic level - there have been one/two scenes where I stuck before knowing what to do, but this level is a must play. I'm totally stunned by this artistry - keep it up Luos_Desruc - you deserve a for this one. :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 - it's a pitty that I couln'd give you six stars...
