Mafia Round VII - Day Five

| And all was quiet in Sackago, until years later. Now, another mafia has risen... To play, you need to sign up. To sign up, just comment here saying you want to play. After I get a decent amount of players, I will PM every one of you your special roles. You are NOT allowed to tell anyone your role . It's a secret between you and me. After I assign everyone their roles, I will then announce the start of the game. There are two factions; the Mafia and Civilians. The game proceeds in turns.* Each night, while the civilians sleep, the dreaded mafia privately decides on which civilian to assassinate. They will do this through PM's. When they decide, they will PM me. Each day, the terrified mob of civilians accuse people of being in the mafia and execute someone. Everyone- including the mafia, will have to vote on who to execute each day. The person with the most votes, dies. Civilians may NOT PM each other or anyone in the game. All discussion about the game should remain in this thread only.* If the civilians manage to kill off all of the mafia members, they win the game. But, if the mafia outnumbers the civilians, they lose and the mafia wins. The game is largely about denouncing people as mafia members, and eloquently proclaiming your innocence. There's no real way to know who's in the mafia and who isn't. "Look at those shifty eyes! She's obviously in the mafia!" and "I've never trusted that guy," are both perfectly valid reasons to accuse someone. The sheer injustice of it all is part of the fun. ROLES Mafia Faction Mafioso- Is a member of the mafia. Every night, all the members of the Mafia will come together and PM each other to decide which Civilian to kill. Civilian Faction Sheriff- Has the ability to detect the role of any player. Every night, the Sheriff will PM me about a particular player's role and I will tell them. However, since no one can reveal their roles, the Sheriff will have to convince everyone else of what they know through trust. Cop- Same as the Sheriff, but instead of knowing particular roles, they will only have the ability to know whether a player is a mafioso or a civilian. Serial Killer- A very powerful role. The Serial Killer may kill anyone during the night, but can only do this twice in the whole game. But, he/she can't kill two people in one night. Doctor- Can protect one player from any night attacks. They will PM me each night of the player of their choice. Extra Roles- There are some roles I will not put on this list. You'll have to find out during game play  .*Civilians- All remaining players will be regular civilians with no additional abilities. They will vote each day, but that's about it. I want at least 20 or so players. 1/4 of them will be the mafia, and the rest will be civilians. TURNS The game is supposed to start at night, but I want all platers to at least have one chance to play, so we'll start during the day. (Keep in mind, Day and Night have nothing to do with day and night in real life. It's just the name of a turn.) During the day, all players will vote on who to kill; even the mafia members. After all the votes come in, night starts.* During the night, no one is permitted to post about anything game-related. All game-related discussion should take place during the day. After I receive all of the PM's from the Mafia and the special civilian roles, I will provide another short narrative of what took place at night, and then the day starts once again. As I said earlier, this keeps going until all of the Mafia are dead, or when the Mafia outnumber the Civilians. Reminders- Please do not reveal your role to anyone else, or discuss the game anywhere else. I want to avoid cheating. The Mafia may PM other Mafia members whenever they wish, but Civilians cannot. Also, remember: No game-related posts during a night time turn. | *Yawns.* Guys, what are you doing? This is how I died last round, and if you don't remember it lead to a domino effect of dying Civilians. So just here me out here. Okay, so basically I've been thinking of how we can reveal who's a Mafioso or not. After thinking of every possible outcome, I finally found a solution that'll give us a 66% percentage of survival (I meant to say winning, but the Leeroy Jenkins video is still in my head.) Here's what I got: First, we need an investigation. So, can I please have the Cop to investigate someone? Anyone you like will be fine, but I suggest we investigate JspOt or trip090. They seemed to have randomly voted people for no reason (no funny statements, pictures, excuses, or anything). The Sheriff can investigate me if they want to know if I'm trying to trick you (which I'm not by the way). For today, we just need to get rid of someone, Civilian or not. So, I think we should go after someone inactive, as they tend to be either a Mafioso, or just some player who doesn't want to play. When Night comes, the Sheriff and Cop will investigate. Then, on Day 2, the Cop will post something like "Don't vote ______. I just know, trust me." This will tell us who's the Cop, without the Cop breaking the rules and revealing himself/herself. The Sheriff will have to keep the investigation a secret for now, because if the Cop is killed, we'll have you as back up. Now, you might be thinking "Why use the Cop?" Well, the Sheriff's role is more important, so we need him/her to be safe, meaning that we cannot allow him/her hint us who they are. So, the Cop will be the one hinting us, thus knowing who to trust. Now I'm suspecting the Mafia to be reading this and the hints, so on Day 2, we need the Doctor to protect the Cop after he/she hints us about him/her. From there, we'll have to keep up that tactic, hopefully winning the game. Oh, and there's a reason why I put that 66% percentage of survival part. It's because there's a flaw in the plan, which is obviously the Doctor's death. So, I'm asking the Doctor to focus on nobody but the Cop after Day 2. The Mafia will probably try to kill us randomly to kill you and/or the Sheriff. So, don't reveal yourself, and try your best to keep with the plan. If the Cop does die (most likely because we'll ask you to protect someone else, mainly since the Mafia will probably think you'll protect the Cop again, but end up killing him/her), then we'll ask the Sheriff to hint us who they are, so you'll protect him/her. If you die during the game, we'll have to keep the Sheriff alive by any means necessary. But you'll probably die before the Sheriff's identity will be revealed to be honest, so I doubt it'll happen. Finally, we need the Serial Killer to keep his votes right now. So no killing tonight. If we find a suspect, you'll be asked to kill him/her, okay? So, does everybody get the plan? If this is to work, I need everybody to remove their votes right now, and agree on someone inactive. Oh, and I need the Doctor to save me tonight. Knowing the Mafia, they'll go after me because I know how the Mafia works in and out. So, everybody else, keep a low profile and just "bandwagon" someone who hasn't posted here yet. Last round I was in, three rounds ago. The Mafia killed me because of my name. My name. I ended up being the sheriff. Major blow was dealt to the civilians. Many rounds ago, I was a civilian. I tried my hardest to convince you all that Burnvictim42 was a Mafiaso. One careless vote against me cost the civilian's their 1st win against the Mafia (which didn't happen until 4 rounds later, which was two rounds ago). The first game I was in, also the last civilian killed. Used my "Serial Killer" abilities to murder Doopz (I suspected he was a Mafiaso), who turned out to be the Don that round. Murderd KernelM later because he annoyed me about LBPC Mafia over the PSN. I've been acting the same way in every round. And the only reason I'm sounding like a crazed loon now is because, well, that's how my role's described (which I won't reveal unless you kill me, which then you'll ALL know what I'm thinking...). Serial Killers have been known to kill civilians accidentally, so if he IS a serial killer, then that might be bad. Or his role could be something completely different that involves him being mad. But since we know absolutely nothing, I'd say the possibility he might be able to kill people by his own will may be dangerous enough.
