| Online players... They come in different flavours and options... So what about making a list of these options? I saw a topic like this on another forum so I decided to make my own for LBP! Ok, so let's see some stereotypes that you may randomly find online: (names next to stereotypes shows who posted them) No one of these stereotypes is directly related to any LBPC member. GOOD ONES: - The Hero: saves any player that is in risk of dying, even if that means death for himself. - The Creator: isn't seen playing often, is mostly working on his masterpieces. - The Good Friend: that guy who deserves to be on your friends list, won't ignore you but won't overkill you. - The Nice Player: like the friend, but this one is found randomly. Don't ignore them! - The Savior: last player remaining when all lifes have gone, that finishes the level for everyone. - The Engineer - As soon as this players enters create mode, he or she goes to work at looking for ways to improve the logic/mechanisms in the level. Whether or not it's desired. (comphermc) - The Fast Creator: He will create at a lightning rate. (Chuck_18mp) - The Den Mothers - I would be remiss not to mention these ladies (and gents presumably) They play with anyone and always keep an eye out for the little guys who lag behind or get slapped by the other players to the point of pouting. Keeping the peace with a firm but gentle hand... (Morgana25) - The Gracious Host: always lets people into their sessions, whether or not they know them. (Outlaw-Jack) - Techie: The guy who always seems to have the management roles on 2-player levels. (Valgee) - The Hambone: The guy who always seems to have the platforming roles on 2-player levels. (Valgee) - The "Let the baby have their bottle" player: Lets other players collect their share of the score bubbles. (midnight_heist) - The Cheerleader:Always opens with "wow this is great" and always encorages you to build more. (Mrgenji) - The Zen Master: Sits silently in create mode ignoring everyone until they suddenly burst into a creative frenzy to craft a section. (Mrgenji) - Separated at birth: The person you play with who intuitively knows what you need them to do and they do it - no discussion needed. And vice versa. Although that's pretty rare. (BabyDoll1970) - Type-in-your-Face - the people who make spend hours using Corner Editor to make fonts and typefaces for the community to use. (Night Angel) - The Fisherman: The guy that grabs onto people that jumped a little short of the gap. (StealthyHawaiian) - Miracle Sack: That one creator who revolutionizes the way we make and look at levels in LittleBIGPlanet. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Cool People - those who place one of the "LBPCentral" Objects in their level. (Night Angel) - The Flag Guy - Always like to represent his or her country on LBP or LBPCentral. (ViniciusBR11) - VaRiEtY mAn: The guy who remembers to use different things in his levels, or publishes different styles of levels. (L1N3R1D3R) FUNNY ONES: - The "Ever Failing" Hero: like the hero, but this ones always dies, sometimes unnecessarily. - The Noob: (not to be confused with newbie), this one is new to LBP, but he doesn't understand basic skills like "press X to jump", can be a pain. - The Permanent Mic Kid: the kid who forgets to turn off the mic, so everyone can hear him yelling, the dog barking, his mom complaining... - The Sticker Guy: places a lot of unnecessary stickers where he passes, including himself. - Murphy's Law - Always manages to fall out of the level or get trapped unintentionally. (comphermc) - "Mics are For Losers" Guy: Person who clearly has a mic switched on, but insists on communicating via their keyboard, so all you can here is them tapping away while you wait for a response. (rtm223) - Windows Media Player: plays music over the mic, sometimes you can't understand what's going on. - The "lol" Kind: he lols at everything, even if it's not funny. (Chuck_18mp) - The Glitch Magnet - if it can go wrong or be broken it will happen when he's around. Walking through theck, characters with arms that stretch across the screen, stickers freaking out - if it can get messed up in game it will when he's in your party. (Morgana25) - I'm Your Biggest Fan! - the friend of a friend that shows up in your pod or in create mode and declares you the best creator in the world. (Morgana25) - The Dance-u-taunt: The one guy who always seems to get the really hard obstacles on his first try and will stand and wave his arms, dancing, as all the other players try to catch up. (Valgee) - The Sixaxis Hacksis: The guy who always seems to playing at a weird angle and his Sackboy's head sticks in an unnatural position. (Valgee) - Look at MEEEE! - Those who opens the costume editor, so the camera zooms in and he can do his dancing. (rtm223) - The "Are we there yet": Will make a drama if a level takes too long to load. (Chuck_18mp) - Sixaxis Sack - The person who responds by tilting the controller around. (Evanesced) - The Quiz Show host - Asks a ton of questions while you're trying to create. (piggabling) - The Ventriloquist: alters their mic to absurd disproportions, usually high-pitched. (Outlaw-Jack) - Bait: seems to be attacked by animals while playing LBP. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Jack Sparrow: never has a set plan, doesn't know what they're doing half of the time. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Actor: always acts out the character that they're dressed as. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Hungry: This chap loves nothing more than to eat food loudly whilst using a mic. (standby250) - The Desparate teenager: always dresses up in emo costumes and talks about his/her girl friend and how emo she/he is. (wolverine_2008) - The Showcaser: This guy/gal has a crown/vest/blaster/1st-shirt and they want you to know! Any spare moment will be spend modelling them. (Mrgenji) - The Kamikaze Lemming: blunders thoughlessly and repeatedly into every hazard and pitfall, making no effort to plan, time or co-ordinate his actions. (Ungreth) - Look at Mah DLC!!!: keeps showing off his DLC clothing/stickers/objects. - Extravaganza: uses random clothing. - Terraphobic - the ones who drown in water or refuse to accept bubbles after their thirty seconds are up...even if they don't have to swim in the water in the first place. (Night Angel) - The "lololol i talk liek a n00b!!1!1!one!" guy: Always talks like a noob as a joke. (Doopz479) - The Oscar Winners: The 2 that act out different scenes on the spot. i.e. One that gets sad when is hit by the other, and the he gets concerned and asks for forgiveness. All with the magic of acting! (javi haguse) - The Naturist: plays in a "naked" sack costume, using decorations as "naughty bits". (Ungreth) - The Sacks Abuser: waits for you to brb before humping your helpless sackboy like a dog... (Ungreth) - Mr.Never-give-up: Player who just doesnt quite make it onto a grabbable land mass and clings on the side for dear life for a few seconds until realising he's a goner and lets go. (Matimoo) - I Miss You Already: Will say goodbye again, and again... (tanrockstan34) - The Slaptogropher: Usually coordinated, somebody who always manages to take a picture with somebody being slapped around! (tanrockstan34) - Fresh From the Asylum: Somebody who always has something wacky to say and makes sure you know about it. (tanrockstan34) - Miracle Sack: That one creator who revolutionizes the way we make and look at levels in LittleBIGPlanet. (Outlaw-Jack) - In meus lingua! - People of the same nationality that talk in their language so no one else understands! (In meus lingua! = In my language in Latin) (ViniciusBR11) - O.O Guy - Always using "O.O" faces. (ViniciusBR11) - Grappler Guy: Like the Freudian Grip, but with grappling hooks. Useful in the one x2 challenge in Da Vinci's Hideout. (L1N3R1D3R) - Strength Showoff: Shows off his strength by throwing other sackpeople with grabinators, often into fire pits. (L1N3R1D3R) - Fireworks Display: Has a cannon that launches impact explosives somewhere in his levels. (L1N3R1D3R) - I Can't Do It When You're Looking: Has been in the game for ages, (or appropriate excuse), but still manages to die in platformers in the most noobish ways possible. (Gavin) - Rejected!: Dies for any reason just as he was about to send that 200 character message he spent 10 minutes writing with the on-screen keyboard. NEUTRAL ONES: - The Newbie: new player to LBP who wants to know everything about the game. - The "go!" Guy: when he can't cross an obstacle, he will say "GO!" and kill himself. - The Goldberg Guy: wants to do everything in the hardest way possible. -The Silent: they never talk, even if you say hello to them, and they never recommend a level of ask you to do anything. They usually follow along you mindlessly through levels, ranging from a pretty bad player to a pretty good player. They sometimes will suddenly stop doing anything for a few seconds, and may also leave at any moment. (Heckboy88) - The Teenage Girl: switches costumes constantly. (Outlaw-Jack) - The All Seeing Eye - Joins you, only to hover and watch you create. (comphermc) - Text Box - The player who has not yet invested in a keyboard or mic. (comphermc) - Celebrity - The awesome person who is always 4/4 so you can never join him or her. (Incinerator22) - The Slow and Steady - The player who views him or herself as a creator, yet it takes him or her more than 4 months to make a single level. (comphermc) - Messy Bedroom: his pod is just decorations spammed everywhere. - The Explorer- must explore every last corner of a level, will hold everyone else up trying to get to every out of reach area in pursuit of fortune & glory. (ApeCheese) - The lonely - The guy that always play offline or alone. (phil_003) - The Time Vampires - You know them, the "could you come take a look at this 'insert create mode problem here' and help me" guys. Four hours later your still fixing logic, adjusting lights or adding decorations to their level.... (Morgana25) - The Emoti--huh? - This player uses the most vague and confusing emoticons, which suggests he or she is just making them up anymore. This forces you to pause and guess at that the heck they meant. (comphermc) - Creator Company - He/she always go and create on his levels when he/she have a party with players. Does all ways need company to create. (CrazeAlec) - Unchanging- Never changes his/her costume and is always working on the same levels. (Heckboy88) - The "Stop everything! I'm happy": Accidentally requests "pause" when they mean "happy" in create mode. (midnight_heist) - Way Off-Topic:One of those people that are always talking about the last movie they saw or their boring homework assignments and never aknowledges the fact that they're playing LBP by saying anything LBP-related. (Heckboy88) - Gender Changer: always changing the gender of their sackperson, so you never know who they really are. - "What is This Copyright You Talk of?": always uses costumes based on game/cartoon/TV characters. His levels follow the same rule. - The stylist: He/she does always tell you how to dress, or if they Do/don't like the costume your wearing. (CrazeAlec) - The Family Man: frequently has a brother/sister playing with them. (Outlaw-Jack) - The "Sorry, what did you say?": never catches a word of text on the screen. (Outlaw-Jack) - Props: makes tons of objects but never a level. (Outlaw-Jack) - Money for Nothing: when he finds an infinite bubble source, he will hold into it until he reaches 1.000.000 points. - The Freudian Grip: The guy you always accidentally grab when attempting to grab something else.(Valgee) - The Stepping Stone: Always the first to complete the puzzle but somehow the last to exit it. (Mrgenji) - "I Know How to do It": Always does all the puzzles on their own level, normally to show it isn't broken. Honestly, it's not! (kirbyman62) - Duntouchthat: Rewinds the very second someone places a bomb/missile, or any other offending object near one of his precious creations. (Richasackboy) - Leonardo da Vinci - has a whole bunch of ideas and starts creating a level but never finishes them. Most likely has over 30 levels not finished. (Night Angel) - Home Makeover-ers - the ones who have a pod that match each and every one of their costumes. (Night Angel) - The Corner People - the ones who will go all the way to the right side bottom corner of a blank level just to create their own object in Online Create. (Night Angel) - The Deja Vu: Will instantly repeat any action after a rewind. (Mrgenji) - Joined at the hip: When you invite or allow one to join, you know the other is always gonna be with them. (BabyDoll1970) -The Intercom: Always speaks too close to the mic so that it's hard to understand. (CheesyDemon) -The Whisper: Always speaks way too softly into the mic. (CheesyDemon) - The Ka-chunk-ka-chunk-ka-chunk Carousel: The guy who places the same decoration rapidly as he rotates it. (Valgee) - The Glitch Master: Seems to know every glitch in the game. (bob is named bob) - The Models - sackpeople who take pictures...a lot of pictures... (Night Angel) - The Shoppers - you know you have brought almost all (if not all) the Downloadable Content in LittleBigPlanet... (Night Angel) - Dem Blobs - sackpeople covered in decorations in which you can't see any part of their original sackbody...at all. (Night Angel) - Portable Preferred People - those who either have only LittleBigPlanet PSP or spend more time creating or playing on there than on PS3. (Night Angel) - The Privately Unstable - people who either (1)accidentally accept join-ins, (2)accidentally publish an earlier version of a level unlocked, or (3)accidentally make their level copyable. (Night Angel) - Back to the Future: Always accidentally rewinds only to redo again. (tanrockstan34) - Please Verify Your Age: will ask your age before anything. - The High-Scorers - those who keep pushing themselves to get one of the top scores on a single level. (Night Angel) - "That Doesn't Look Dangerous... Go First!": lets everyone go first to make sure there's no danger. - EXCUSE me: Always has the best excuses to be excused. (Exemption) - Art Club Man: Has amazing art, but very little gameplay to go with it. Usually makes cutscene levels. (L1N3R1D3R) - Brainstormer: The opposite of Art Club Man. (L1N3R1D3R) - Story Time!: Has an amazing story, but little gameplay or art ideas. Again, usually makes cutscene levels. (L1N3R1D3R) - Instant Movie Maker: Always uses the "Cut" option for Movie Camera transitions. Or he forgets there are movie cameras, using magic mouths instead. These are always the "Cut" option. (L1N3R1D3R) - Glued Boots: Unable to use jumps involving springs and will fail always. Always. (Gavin) - Continental Drift: Seems to be online just at the point at which you decide to head for bed or realize it's either very late at night or very early in the morning. (Gavin) - The "What's that?": Constantly asks you what you just said when using a mic, or vice versa. (ILuvBlueMorThanU) - Creator's Blocked: Feels like creating but all of a sudden loses interest or too lazy in the first seconds of create mode. (Sunbunny23) BAD ONES: - Slapper: will slap you for no reason, everytime. - Costume Stickerer: will spam stickers in your costume. - The "brb" Nightmare: will stop playing every 5 minutes, slowing you and other players down. - The "I don't care to what happens to you" Guy: will always run to the finish, leaving you behind and making you die. Can be frustrating at races. - The H4Her: do I have to explain this one? - The Restarting Host: everytime he dies, he restarts the level. - The Annoying Friend: wants to join you/invites you as soon as you enter LBP and even if you ignore them. - The Thief: tends to steal objects and/or stickers. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Demolition: has a knack to break and/or destroy objects, can be annoying. (Outlaw-Jack) - The Lagger: slows down the entire group's connection, can possibly crash games. (Outlaw-Jack) - "This is Sparta!" Guy: similar to slapper, but will slap-to-kill you. - "Slap-and-Run!": they slap you one time and then run away. - The Paintinator Friend : constantly fires at everything in sight once they get a Paintinator, especially other players. Turns any level into a free-for-all shooting gallery. (Gilgamesh) - The Rewind Kind - Abuser of the rewind function, causing any work you might have been doing in their level to be undone time and again, also occasionally diverging the game. (OneEyedBanshee) - The Flying Sack - He or she take a jetpack and keep grabbing you to put you somewhere else or throw you in the fire. (phil_003) - Hover slapper - He/she always slap people when they are in hoover mode. (CrazeAlec) - The "I will grab onto you to death" Guy: self explanatory. Slapping is the only way out sometimes. - The Unwelcome Guest: your friend's guest that never played LBP and messes up with your game. - The spammer: He/she send out new text messages every second so you can't barely play! (CrazeAlec) - Rewind!!!111!!one: he wants to make sure you saw his request. (Chuck_18mp) - Photobomber- When your taking a picture of yourself they slap you or get in front of you. (UltimateClay) - Framer- When your brb they put something embarrasing by you (like a NOOB --> sign) and take a picture of it. (UltimateClay) - Identity Crysis: copies your costume and sometimes, your popit color, so you have to press L1 all the time to recognize yourself. - The Blocker: gets out a sticker in the pod and makes it huge, and hovers it over the front window of the pod so the host can't see! (Matimoo) - The Farting Rock: will hide random stickers in your level or hide sound effects behind things. (Matimoo) - Jewel Thief: will stop at nothing to get a crown. (Outlaw-Jack) - The bomb expert: drags bombs toward you in bomb survivals. (bob is named bob) - Ping Pong Crew: 2 people that stand to the left and right of you and slap you back and forth. (bob is named bob) - Competitive: This guy will slap you just before the race gates open, therefore giving themselves a head start. (standby250) - The Teaser: S/he will wait until your about to you're about to grab onto a swinging sponge, and then move it out of the way so you fall to your death. (standby250) - Trapper: Traps his prey inside the first foreground layer and prevents you from escaping by keeping you selected with popit. (Richasackboy) - The My-Moon host: When you join they will make you play their unfinished levels, again and again and again. (flamingemu) - The Pool Assassin: drowns other people, sometimes drowns himself in the process. - The Time Keeper - the host who refuses to unpause or rewind under any circumstances. Ever. (comphermc) - "Who Turned off the Lights?": Has alot of trouble playing levels that are darker than average and will often complain about it in the comments section or in showcase threads. (Rhys125) - Flash Flood: The guy who will make a water switch set to fill the entire level in .1 seconds and stand near it... just waiting for you to unpause... (Valgee) - The Power Mad Backseat Mod: The guy who will report you for anything, accidental or not. (Chdonga) - The Lag Hag: Can somehow cheat death by lagging right through something that could of killed him/her. (StealthyHawaiian) - Sore Loser: the one that always slaps the player with the highest score at the scoreboard. - Hello, My Name is Arrogant: The player who thinks they know it all and will fight you on everything you say even if they know they are wrong. (tanrockstan34) - King of the controller- Slaps every other sackperson that tries to get up on the controller in pod (CrazeAlec) - Speedy Gonzales - Instantly runs to the checkpoint when playing an MM level online, without waiting to see if your doing 3x or 4x areas. (Bremnen) - Scammer: They give out prize bubbles claiming it's a new glitch or something, make music levels out of the interactive music tools, etc. (Chamion B) - Talkative - Never shuts up. (cmh95) - Giant Wardrobe: He has costume levels to the extreme. (L1N3R1D3R) - MMMOOOVVVIIIIEEESSS!!!: The guy who forgets to make his cutscenes only play once, forcing you to watch it again if you died. (L1N3R1D3R) - Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde: When a player leaves for a while (or brbing), another person comes to the controller and starts to mess around, even to the point of kicking you, or saying some nasty things to you. The Glitch Magnet - if it can go wrong or be broken it will happen when he's around. Walking through theck, characters with arms that stretch across the screen, stickers freaking out - if it can get messed up in game it will when he's in your party. I'm Your Biggest Fan! - the friend of a friend that shows up in your pod or in create mode and declares you the best creator in the world. (I love these guys btw - well, most of the time )The Time Vampires - You know them, the "could you come take a look at this 'insert create mode problem here' and help me" guys. Four hours later your still fixing logic, adjusting lights or adding decorations to their level.... I am guilty of this with several people and they know who they are. Sorry guys. The Den Mothers - I would be remiss not to mention these ladies (and gents presumably) They play with anyone and always keep an eye out for the little guys who lag behind or get slapped by the other players to the point of pouting.
