The Rocky Road (One player only)MattAtk
This is my first try hard level that I made over the past few weeks/months. Its based on a mountain theme, as you can see from the title. Hope that you guys like it. Thanks

I'll get around to playing this for you, it's sad that no one has feedbacked at all :/

If you want to help get your level plays by the way, you should make your level as a Feedback 4 Feedback thread, and then go and offer other creators feedback on their levels and direct them to your level in return.

It's a good system

That was your first level?! Wow, awesome job! Its a fantastic and fun level, and really well designed. Nice job! I've seen a lot of levels that have used the same visual style and similar gameplay but it was all so well put together that it didn't really matter. 5 stars, keep it up! 2010-07-22 19:46:00

You should seriously consider putting up some pictures of this level, it really encourages people to play it if they can see that it's of high quality before they boot up LBP.

Also, god dam you new creators first levels are really romping over what the first timers were producing! Anyway, onto your level.

Good Stuff :

- Really nice sheen to the whole level, visual style consistently good.

- Nice volcanic twist on using the savannah materials

- Great varied gameplay, I really liked the shifting landmass section and the volcano bit, as well as the roving platforms that break and such.

- Loved the way the ending displayed itself, really nice finishing touch

Stuff to think about :

- If you aren't allowed to move whilst in the barrels, it might be worthwhile trying to optimize the way they work. Also, in some sections it's a little bit hard to see them because of how dark they are. I'd suggest either changed their material or gave them a distinguishing feature so they stick out a bit more.

- If you can work out exactly which bits mean that your level is only suitable for 1 player only, then it might be worth trying to find work rounds and logic safe guards to make it multi player friendly. If you have any problems you can't solve by yourself, then I'd suggest swinging by our help forum, there are lots of good creators there that'll be happy to show off their knowledge and help out

- The section with the 3 rising pillars and levers, they all wobble a lot. I got killed the first time on that because the left one got stuck on the overhanging ridge so that it wouldn't rise. This meant that I couldn't just back up to the middle platform and that the fire didn't stop so I had to suicide. The reset button was useful, but it shouldn't have come to that.

Anyway, I really liked this, it was a very polished experience and stood out against a sea of savvanah levels with a nice scenic twist, :star::star::star::star::star:

Also, if you could take a look at my latest Seeking the Meaning level, that'd be grand

Inspired by jackofcourse? No? It was pretty much just as fun, anyway. I agree with asbestos, it would be worthwhile to try making this multiplayer friendly.

5 stars, it was fun. congrats on your first level!

Hey, very nice level here, clean polished look, complex and original gameplay. However, while I don't mean to be rude, your visual style was so close to jackofcourse's Timberland levels that it almost felt like it was copied in some ways. Now, everyone takes inspiration from other creators, but for your next level I would suggest trying to put a little more of your own creative twist on every aspect. It would make it more of your own. Overall, 5 stars for your first! + hearted.2010-07-26 02:26:00

I liked this level.

Problems were:

Wobbly pillars

The ball trigger that fires up, to move the large section got stuck. Had to reset the level.

I also agree with Lockstitch. It felt very much like flaming timberlands.

Keep up the good work!

Fantastic level!! Really loved it!! :star::star::star::star::star:<3

Loved the way it displayed at the end! You really managed to capture the heard of LBP I think- fun, simple platforming that looks good and is just at it core FUN.

Things to work on
1. Make the volcano look a little better. The rest of the level has a cool feel to it, but the volcano didn't look all that great. Loved its gameplay, but the visuals of the volcano need work.

2. There a big shifting part that you have to shift up and then come back to to shift down and continue. Add more pistons to it. Im serious. Nothing bad happened for me, but when i swung on the first circle, it pushed down a little bit. So i can see serious problems occurring there.

3. At the beginning where you're riding the thing across flames and theres ash and flame falling down on you. The very first segment of this doesn't look as good as the rest. Just a minor suggestion, but make it so that the flaming rocks disappear behind the level before dissolving. It just looks better.

Other than that, amazing level. Truely loved it.

Not to be picky or anything, but would you mind playing mine too? Its called "Mr. Pollock's Dream". Im sure you'll enjoy it! Thanks!
