90's Music
Archive: 6 posts
Who else here LOVES 90's rock, grunge, etc. I miss the days when you would often hear these amazing songs all over the place. Yeah it went down hill ever since boy bands and britney's came into the radio but im talking before then. Makes me wish i was born in the 80's so i could have appreciated the music more and could have gone to live shows back then. Nirvana Nine Inch Nails Smashing Pumpkins Foo Fighters Pearl Jam Tool Third Eye Blind Spin Doctors Red Hot Chili Peppers Queens of the Stone Age Jane's Addiction Radiohead Modest Mouse Stone Temple Pilots Sunny Day Real Estate and oh so many more | 2010-07-16 04:39:00 Author: Meta-Armor Posts: 80 |

90s hip hop appreciation too? sure why not, im not a fan of hip hop but tbh all that was alot better then what we have now. Notorious, Gin N Juice, California Love (orwhatever that song is called) are all good | 2010-07-16 16:24:00 Author: Meta-Armor Posts: 80 |
I used to be in the same place as you. I thought that all good music had died out in the mid 90's and that everything modern was utter crap. That is only the music that gets the most attention. There is a lot of modern music that is VERY under appreciated but amazing nonetheless, it's not really 'Rock' or 'Grunge' thats the underground at the moment, it's more electronic music. Which is a good thing, music needs to evolve. Im not entirely sure what your musical tastes are but I urge you not to give up entirely on modern music; yes, the stuff in the charts is utter crap, but there is so much more out there that you just haven't had the chance to listen to! The sorry fact is though that music now a days is thought as more of a business than it is an art form, and this makes me cry a little inside. | 2010-07-16 17:11:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

I love the 90's i feel i must put another before and after thing XD 90's: Making electronic music was very difficult, yet they made it anyways since it was worth it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ9J5-sJw9w 2000's: 13 year olds can muck about Garageband or Fruityloops for a few minutes and make a chart topper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb8fOT2nz08 I agree with morton though; there still is plenty of great music coming out if you look in the right places. It's just not popular anymore. Besides, who makes music for the sake of art during the recession? | 2010-07-17 00:55:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
