Level series in LBP2???
Archive: 10 posts
I was wondering, on your levels in LBP2, will you be able to go on to a series of levels like the LBP1 story levels? So you go on to a level series then there's all the levels of that series in one seperate crater? Oh and will levels be linked together so instead of leaving to your pod to play the next level it automatically transfers you to the next level from the first one?? Oh and does anyone know if you can have more than 20 levels and able to have more friends in your pod? I hate having 4! I need atleast 8! Please leave GOOD feedback and tell me what you think. | 2010-07-15 20:47:00 Author: Barnsy_AKA_ash Posts: 293 |
I'm talking about your own created series, not the story MM ones. | 2010-07-15 20:48:00 Author: Barnsy_AKA_ash Posts: 293 |
Don't know, would be cool especially the linked levels thing, it could be done like at the very end with "Replay" "Continue" "Link", as for the more than 4, I'd like it but I think they'll stick with 4 | 2010-07-15 23:00:00 Author: jeperty Posts: 486 |
Yes, levels will be able to be linked by badges (that's what they're called). The badges will take you directly from one level to another, do not pass the pod, do not collect $200. At this point it's unknown how extensive this will be or if stored variables will make the transition from one level to another (if your sackboy is wearing a jetpack when he transfers, he may or may not still have the jetpack when he gets to the next level, and values stored in logic may or may not be able to make the jump). I don't know of any specific statements from Mm but all screenshots and vids have shown no more than four players, and I'd be willing to bet money that lbp2 will still only support four. Instead of replying to your own post, you should use the edit function. Also, and I don't wanna' sound mean here, a search through the forums would have gotten you the information you were asking for. | 2010-07-15 23:00:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
I would edit and search but I'm on my iPod and it's extremely slow and by the time I search through it, I would be wasting my time. I'm pretty busy. | 2010-07-15 23:34:00 Author: Barnsy_AKA_ash Posts: 293 |
I am looking forward to level linking badges, they'll add a lot more "Get on with it!" type gameplay. I do wonder though if Media Molecule will add a feature for levels to be Physically linked together, microchips of the sort or whatever. | 2010-07-16 01:03:00 Author: DaSackBoy Posts: 606 |
Uhm... imagine the havoc with 8 players on screen everyone willing to go to a different direction. Ugh. I propose 4 active players and max 4 players watching. A turn-changing system. Though that could break into a scene of mass violence when some twots don't realize the meaning of "turn". As for the thread topic, I'd like being able to folder meh levels under the polaroid pics, just as Mm Story Levelz. Folder an epic saga there, and if it is your first time playing, you'll start the saga immediately. Once you play the levels in it, they'll appear there (JUST as in the Mm Story Levels) and you can choose whichever you wants. | 2010-07-17 08:34:00 Author: Unknown User |
On the subject of the story - Yes there is one, it's based on periods of time when creativity ran wild. 3 themes I know of are the renaissance (Da vinchis workshop), Industrial revolution (Steampunk stuff) and a capitalist style thing... not much info about that last one. | 2010-07-18 03:16:00 Author: Mrgenji Posts: 803 |

You prolly need to look deeper, because there has been a lot of info on the "capitalist style thing". It's called "Neon Propaganda", and you're liberating workers from an opressed factory. (In no particular order) World 1: Techno Renaissance - Da Vinci's time, with a techno twist World 2: Steam and Cake - The height of the European empire with a steampunk twist World 3: Neon Propoganda - Explained above World 4: Fluffy Hi-tech - No creative time explained; Hi-tech elements with soft and cuddly mixed in World 5: Designer Organic - No creative time explained; Dunno much about this one. World 6: Handmade Arcade - No creative time explained; Dunno much about this one. | 2010-07-19 05:24:00 Author: Moony Posts: 368 |
And the amount of levels will still be around 50, confirmed in numerous Mm vids. In the Alex Evans presentation (though seen elsewhere too) (pt. x, watch them all!) I noticed that in the Techno Renaissance theme (its the only levels they show ) there was some interesting seals, looking like a movie clapper. New Seals!!! | 2010-07-19 09:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
