Sourceless lights from flames...

Alright, I'm sorry if I'm just really slow ( I haven't been in this forum for months) but I just discovered something that may be useful to someone. If you put a flame (from a candle...) on a combustible material and then blow it up, the light from the flame will hover in air but the flame decal itself will disappear. I'm sure someone could find this useful for disembodied point light sources in your level, can be really useful in simulating studio / global lighting too without a bunch of ugly LEDs. | 2010-07-15 17:27:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |

I know that too and I know way to do it better. If you place, capture and place candle object you can copy flame or you can remove flame whit triangle and place it where you want.
