Lights that blow up?

Archive: 8 posts

Anyone else find it annoying that all the light sources in the game stick around after explosions? Why not have options to put in a light source that can be destroyed aside from brains which take up so much thermometer real estate?2010-07-15 17:24:00

Well that would be useful. Like, you can make a cardboard car with a light, make an atomic bomb fall on it and the light is unnafected. However, you can make the light turn off when the object it is attached to is destroyed.2010-07-15 17:31:00

The worst thing is, that what most of us will do on it... (in a certain point of view)

Demitting should be a little easier on the thermo.

Demitting should be a little easier on the thermo.

Especially if you demit just a square of DM. Then you even get the object for free-zies.

Two thin and invisible pieces of rubber, both in the same plane as the light, one glued to the bottom of the light and the other suspended above by a piston. When you want the destruction to happen, you activate a switch( Directional) on the piston which will make the rubber come down on top of the light and break it.

I've only ever done this with small LEDS and I bet it could work with Christmas lights, but beyond that, I'm not sure. The objects that occupy the thick layers would probably remain unaffected.
