Hello!
I have just published second part of Jack McHan series. It is short, but the thermo was full. This level is different that the first. (It is set on Jack?s spaceship Aithra.)

EDIT: Now i published fixed version. I fixed the lift to the 4th floor and asteroid.

EDIT2: I published next fixed version.

Story:
Jack McHan is flying to planet Lantea, but suddenly a pirate ship attacks him?

Okay, feedback time!

Wow, another great level, though I don't like this one quite as much as Pt. 1. I only had one real problem, which is the optional race sequence. It was a ton of fun, but you need to add another checkpoint so you don't have to teleport again to get back there. Other than that, I loved it. Great work!

Five stars and a heart!

Um...I just played this last night and, maybe you uploaded an updated version or something, but when I got to the "engine room" and got rid of all the oil and stuff, were you supposed to put a battery on that sticker switch? Cause I couldn't find the battery sticker in my pop-it.2010-07-16 20:18:00

I am happy, that you think, it is good. I wanted to make the race hard, so I didn't add any checkpoint on the asteroid.

eagerneph:
I don't know, what could be wrong. I tested it and I had the battery sticker in my pop-it. Maybe if you download it again, it will be alright.

Ok i played you level and it was good but i think you should fix 2 things

On the metior you can walk right and fall off to nothingness
and the switch that goes to the 4th floor goes nutso at the top.

But other than that the levels good, my fave part was shooting the space pirate ship

5 stars! good work

Hey Honza
Played this, and got as far as the engine room. As someone already mentioned, I couldn't find the sticker to the batteries either. Where is the sticker located? Maybe it's because I don't have the sticker you used? I haven't beat the actual game 100%, therefore I don't have all the stickers from the game. Uh, oh...I guess we're screwed? Unless you set the sticker switch to ANY sticker instead of a specific one. I liked the level up to that part.

Hidy Ho Honza! Thanks so much for the feedback on Destiny 2 :-) I am here to return the favor!

This level seems to be a big departure from the first one, which is probably a big surprised for people who were expecting more of the same thing. Instead of a platformer, this level is more of an open world type level. I think it is good that you are trying new things because it will help you become better as a creator :-)

I enjoyed the story and how this continued where we left off. The ship was pretty big, and there was a lot to explore. You did a good job letting me know where I needed to go, which is something that this style of level need to do. Without direction, it can get very irritating.

I did have the battery sticker since I 100%ed story mode, but I can see how this could be an issue. I can only assume that the bad ratings that this level is getting are due to that sticker, because the level is really good and it only has 3 stars which is an injustice!

I REALLY liked how the level opened up at the end and you allowed the player to teleport down to the meteor. That was a cool idea! I was a bit bummed by the fact that you had a difficult race down there and didn't include a save point so you just end up back at the ship though I know that it is difficult to do something like this when you are teleporting, but there are plenty of ways that you can let the player decide if they want to be teleported to the ship when they die. It's not a big deal though, and the meteor looked really good :-D

The part where you shoot the pirate ship was a great idea and it was built very well. I ran into an issue that I ran into on a level made by someone else (I can't remember what it was, but it was a boss fight) where I just couldn't hit the ship! The issue was that you have it so that only 1 (or maybe 2?) bombs can be emitted at a time. So when the screen turned green I would just hold down R and launch everything, but the ship was never hit. This got really irritating and I almost gave up and then I realized that the emitter setting were probably just working against me. Maybe this isn't a big deal, but I can certainly see how someone could get frustrated (maybe there was text there to warn me not to hold down R when it was time to shoot, but I completely missed it if there was).

Overall this was an awesome level and a cool sequel to the first! Keep up the awesome work!

Hey Honza! I finally got to play your level, and I have to commend you on your work. I loved the big spaceship, and further more its challenges. Now, it's feedback time!

I like the intro. The whole outer space scenery was a good choice, considering some players might have not played the first Jack McHan level. And the ship talking to the layer was also really nice. The storage room whoever was different. There was no gameplay involved. I didn't find this a major problem, but some platforming would've helped keep the mood flowing.

Now the oil leak section. I love this part. I kind of died the first two tries, but hey, it's a challenging section. So yeah, I finally beat it and pulled the switches, now I head down to the sticker switches part.

!ATTENTION! FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING WHY I "THANKED!" CERTAIN POSTS, AND WHY THIS SENTENCE IS IN BOLD, IT'S BECAUSE I WANT EVERYBODY TO KNOW HOW TO PASS THE STICKER SWITCH SECTION WITHOUT THE NEED TO OWN THE STICKER! THAT'S RIGHT, I KNOW HOW TO PASS IT WITHOUT OWNING THE STICKER. SO THOSE OF YOU YOU COULD'NT PASS THE LEVEL BEFORE DUE TO THIS SECTION'S STICKER PROBLEM, READ ON (THE BLUE PARAGRAPH THAT IS)!

So, the sticker switch section. Okay, so you might be wondering why I decided to make a paragraph for this section. Well, let's face it, I don't have the sticker. So I had a hassle trying to find a way past it. Suddenly, I figured it out. So hopefully you can tell everybody else to try this if they ever get stuck like me.

Right behind the battery shaped Dissolve material, you'll see a very thin outline of the battery sticker. You (Honza) probably used this to get the battery shape, almost like a stencil. So, take out your Popit and then take out your Sticker Edit Tool. Once it's out, try to pick up that outline that's behind the battery shaped Dissolve material. Once you grabbed it, place it on the sticker switch. You're done! And you can now say "I just beat you sticker switch section, Honza, without owning the sticker!" to boost!

So now that I helped give away the solution to that problem, I think I'll just run through the rest of the level.

The 4th floor was fun, but it lacked difficulty. After that, I headed down to that meteor by using the teleporter, and let me tell you that it was my favorite section from the whole level! I just loved the whole platforming area! From the start gate to the finish gate, I had the most fun in this area itself. It really felt like I was playing a mini-game!

So, a few more seconds later, the level ends in the storage room, but not as dramatic as the last one.

Overall, I found this level to be "dull", compared to the first one. It was still fun, but I hope to see Jack in a more platform-ish environment. However, I do have the highscore (WOOT!), so I'll go ahead and give you all the stars, because I like the Jack series. :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 for both level and Creator (if I hadn't already). Excellent job my friend!

Peace

Yeah, your were right! I just downloaded the level again and it worked just fine. Great level man! The only thing I found slightly annoying, is when I was on the asteroid and every time I died, I would get sent back up to the ship. I didn't like that so much but I kept going back to the teleporter anyway. Other than that, it was great fun! I would've liked it if you had gotten to go to another planet or something besides just the asteroid but I'm sure that you'll be coming out with a third level soon. Great job man! Gave you :star::star::star::star::star: five stars!

Keep up the good work!

Another excellent episode in the Jack McHan saga.

I loved how this starts up right where the first one ends. The look of your spacecraft is great, I loved exploring it. The platforming segment to get to the two switches over the oil (Gas), was cool. I can see where the sticker problem might have been an issue to some people. Not for me, I had the battery. I do believe that came from the turbo pack, good idea to include the other not from any DLC. I almost used one the Lurve stickers in a sticker switch once, and I thought, how many people actually bought this? So It is always a good idea not to include a possible game breaking situation in the level.

The asteroid segment was my favorite, and the race was very fun, and the secret bubble spots were well worth the effort to go off the path. It did suck the fun out a little when I died and had to restart in the teleport room, but I have no idea how you could have made it any other way, so no worries. The asteroids environment was very streamlined and it looked great.

The space fight with the pirate was a blast too (no pun intended).

Great job my friend. Another heart and five stars. <3

Hiya-

I had a blast playig your level. I lked how it felt like an RPG, and I loved all of the backtracking. You showed cool new ideas in this level, like waiting for the green border to appear to shoot the spaceship, it reminded me of AmazingFlyingPoo, because in all of his levels he always has some cool new ideas. The visuals were good too, everything was clean and it all looked very nice. Overall, very good job here.

I rated it :star::star::star::star::star: and I <3ed the level.
