Haven and Hearth

Archive: 1 post

Haven and Hearth is an indie MMO game that I have been playing for the last month or so. Now, I normally hate MMO's and everything about them - I regularly use terms for Runescapers that aren't allowed on this site. But Haven and Hearth (HNH) is different. That's why I'm recommending this game not to hardcore MMOers, but to those who have never played one, because this game throws out everything you know and hate about MMOs, and I know the hardcore players whine like little girls when the slightest change is made to the formula. (See: Every change that has ever been made to Runescape.)

From the HNH Wiki:
In MMORPGs, what you see is developed by some guy who spends his entire career making maps. You play as an avatar in a static world that will be no different tomorrow as it is today. In Haven and Hearth, this is different. You (yes, as soon as you spawn) have the capability to alter the world around you. Individuals, and communities, can morph and craft a village, raping the land around them for resources. Watch as a remarkable forest succumbs to deforestation and the ground under them is minded out for iron! Everything you do leaves a mark that others can see.

So, do we have any interests in trying this? If so I'll gladly put more up and help people start.

PS: If you ever see a village named Veluca, don't come near. We will murder you.
