Make sponge or any grabable material as small as possible. And glue it on 2010-07-14 22:18:00

There's a few ways. One is to, as Jonaolst said, glue some grabbable material to it. Another is to simply build your own cogs out of grabbable material. Another is to use the compressor tool to overlap some invisible grabbable material (which essentially results in the same thing as gluing small bits of grabbable material to it, but it's easier to just lay a circle into it than it is to glue little bits all around the outside of it).2010-07-15 03:44:00

Create 2 squares made of different materials, copy an MM cog into 1 of them, then copy & paste the square with the cogshaped cutout into the other square and you have a cog you can change to a grabbable material.2010-07-15 08:42:00

MM cogs are actually stars. I dunno if its cause a gear with teeth would be too many verticies, if they just work better with lbp's physics, or what, but despite the looks of them, their teeth are pointy.2010-07-16 13:37:00

Yeah, making your own cogs is kinda tricky.

If you really want to give it a go, you can use a sprung bolt as a protractor to get angles worked out precisely. I won't lie, though... it will take a while to get it worked out how you want.

Check out Incinerator's comprehensive guide to complex shapes (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=20656-Complex-Shapes-Tutorials-The-Visual-Guide). It's towards the bottom of the post.
