hey folks.

I thought of something awsome With a team we can do this!

OK, here i go...
Have you heard of the game ''Stick Arena''? if not, look it up stupid! (nah, JK )
I thought of this when i heard about the seperated cams, (yay)
and it would be totally awsome with a lbp version of this.

Gameplay
First of all this is top-down!
Four players start on the map, not in the same checkpoint.
There are weapons laying on the floor, and some desk and stuff you can hide behind.
The weapons are guns and melee weapons. Pistol, AK47,shotgun,sledgehammer,sword,knife.
You have a health bar.
And the mode is traditional Death Match (DM)
You gain score for each kill, and the first player to get 1000 points wins. Possible with the revealed score switch.
Melee weapons damage a little bit more, because you can't attack at range with melee weapons. (pretty obvious why)
The control will be similar to Geometry wars, if you have played that. You turn around with the right stick. Using a kind of bolt, where the wep locks in, is your 'face'
And you use left stick to move your legs, or whole body if you prefer that.

Logic
How do i make it switch weapon: i'll use dissolveable material, (don't know how to spell it)
so when the player goes on a weapon. The weapon he currently hold, disappears. And the ''new'' weapon locks in. Randomizer for the checkpoint chooser, so the player don't always start on the same place. (Spawn killing SUX!)
The weapon and ''lock'' is glued together.

Note that i'm making the ''lock'' bigger so it PERFECTLY fit

I'll need a team, so someone will build map, logic, etch etch. If you wanna help, or show promise, say so!
When we publish the level, on LBP2 ofc. We will see how it goes. if its a success we could make new features
Such as weapons, maps, modes.

So... what your saying is you need a team of devs... to make the level from ur idea... that you came up with in less then five mins... lol
wat exactly are you planning on doing? just telling us wat to do or wat?

He is making a delicious seven-egg omelet with a side of sausage.

I have heard of Stick Arena and i was just thinking about the idea of this on LBP2.
I think the logic is pretty good and well thought out.
One question though, how will the new weapon switch in? Because usually youll get the weapon at all different angles, how do you lock it into the angle that youre facing?

Actally, i don't really need a team for this. BUT i have never created any ''real'' things online. So your welcome

EDIT: oh, sorry. I just found out that there is a 7 hour diffrence between us... Timezones sucks! Really!

A little question... Would it not be more effective that you have a single button to get rid of your current weapon? Would it not be kind of irritating if you suddenly walk over something you don't want and lose your weapon to a new one? Or will you just make enough space for walking around it? Anyway, this sounds like a cool idea!

And can you attack without weapons, like just punching?

I'm pretty sure you can figure some way of doing that. If you remember from E3, the video when they showcased the Creatinator, the players were spawning from different checkpoints.

Also, this project sounds exciting, I'd be willing to "try" to help, because I'm not an Advanced creator, but I can use some intermediate logic, so.... idk :

Yea, as i said. Players will spawn from diffrent checkpoints everytime, using a randomizer.

I'm not sure about punching,though. Its a maybe, maybe not.

You live where the timezone is -6 and mine is 1+, same as StealthyHawaiian. You can help with logic, but not hope to play with me that much
idk, maybe just 2-4 hours a day.
