Zelda: Wind Waker: IntroductionWindWakerSeries An almost exact remake of LoZ Wind Waker intro. By TheJollyRajah and Melted_Gummybear. Music by Jolly, art and logic by Gummy. Hey everyone! Me and Jolly worked quite hard on this and are planning to follow it up with a series! I hope you enjoy it and notice the hard work we put into it. We know it isn't perfect but we hope it fits your expectations! Here are a few screenshots of the level! http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac333/MeltedGummy/APhoto_22.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac333/MeltedGummy/APhoto_21.jpg Keep in mind that it is only an introduction, so there isn't any gameplay! Just sit back and enjoy the music and artwork we've dished out for you! | 2010-07-13 11:39:00 Author: Melted_Gummybear Posts: 162 |
This is great , It feels very accurate to the game, with the amazing job done on the custom music playing throughout and the visual design. I cant wait for the next part. | 2010-07-13 17:25:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |
A Wind Waker series? D: I've always felt Wind Waker was the best in the series, and have always hated the fact that Twilight Princess wasn't a prequel to Wind Waker and the final battle was fought as Hyrule drowned... I mean, Wind Waker just had the best story of them all and was the most beautiful but then Nintendo dropped the story they were buildi- wait, wrong thread. Anyway... Didn't play, but if you are making a series out of the best Zelda evah... well, I need to play more LBP anyway, so... lol I'll TRY and remember to play this. I just watched and was amazed by the amount of detail in your visuals. The music was fantastic as well. Must have been a lot of work. Did you follow the Game Cube intro, or just do your own interpretation of it? (I can't remember exactly). One possible glitch: the music seemed to stutter, at the part where "On a certain islands the boys are clothed in green." etc. Wind Waker is also my favourite Zelda-line. So I'm really looking forward to playing the next part. If you're up for F4F, it would be great if you could look at my newest story level: "Drones of Genius Loci." | 2010-07-14 07:08:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
This level was amazing how you put it together Negatives: -Speech bubbles way to fast, you cant even read the story due to the speed. Sugguestions: - Try slowing down the speed to the speech bubbles so people have time to read it and get the story. Overall Nice level got 4 Stars from me | 2010-07-14 07:19:00 Author: Sabre_ Posts: 653 |
Wow the artwork is absolutely amazing. And I am LOVING the music. This is impressive, well done sir! The dialog is way too fast to read unfortunately, but I am having a great time looking at your drawings to the music. Can't wait to see what a level looks like in this series, keep us posted. :star::star::star::star:<3 | 2010-07-14 10:35:00 Author: dTOtheTEE Posts: 183 |
This level was fantastic. I'm amazed that it only has a 3 star even though the text bubbles were fast. So here's my little review: - You did a great job of remaking the intro to Wind Waker. Fantastic job and it made me remember how much I loved that game. - The music was fantastic. TheJollyRojah sure knows how to make music. xD - The only really bad thing I noticed was the text bubbles being fast, but I didn't mind much because the visuals paired with the music made me smile too much. Also, I understand why you made it fast. Those bubbles are HUGE and cover up the pictures almost entirely. D: - Sometime you can see global switches, but I didn't care much. I feel you probably left them visible on purpose. It didn't ruin the level by any means (like some comments on the level itself said.) So I rated :star::star::star::star::star: and <3. Also hearted the author (I'm assuming that it's not your main account seeing as how it's titled Wind Waker Series) because I can't wait to see more! | 2010-07-15 02:48:00 Author: AeroForce22 Posts: 392 |
Stop!! Review Time!!! (That was soooo lame....) The Good: ------------ + The art in this level is nothing short of jaw dropping and awe inspiring. I was entirely convinced I was staring at real art from the games intro, as if it were directly ripped from the game itself. + A near perfect rendition of the intro song to the WW game. JollyRajah is an absolutely astounding musician, if he's able to replicate this this well. (Its a decently long song, too. The Bad: ----------- - It has been said by virtually everyone, but the text is too fast. I could read 90% of them, because if I need to I can speed read. However not alot of people can read that fast, so the text disappears way too fast. It was nothing short of an artistic masterpiece and a perfect rendition of the opening. The text, for anyone who didnt know, is indeed the exact same as the text in the intro to the game, so if you already know it, then you dont need to worry about it going too fast I give you a :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 Beautiful, indeed! If you can, please play and review this level: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30124-The-Shining-Clock-tower-of-Dreams Thank you for your time! | 2010-07-15 03:57:00 Author: Laharl Posts: 152 |
Great music level! Well written and the artwork was very Zelda-esque. A couple of the text bubbles were a bit fast to read, but other than that, good work! | 2010-07-15 04:11:00 Author: schm0 Posts: 1239 |
Wow, that was amazingly well done... Great job on the art, music, everything! Brought back some fine old memories of that game lol. Cant wait to see next parts of the series | 2010-07-18 03:42:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
Haha! Thank you all for your input! I don't really know how to fix that mouthy issue, I have gone as far as to put them on permanent switches and it still refuses to work! If anyone has some suggestions, it would be truly awesome! Again, thanks all for input and I hope to have Outset Island done for you guys soon | 2010-07-18 15:14:00 Author: Melted_Gummybear Posts: 162 |
You did an good job on the introduction of "Zelda The Wind Waker" because it is highly accurate and well made. It is exactly like the introduction from the Gamecube game and the illustrations are well made with corner edit tool and stickers. I do agree with some people that the speech bubbles disappears too fast. Overall this level deserves 5 stars. Play and F4F "The Hero Chronicles LV5 Glacier Volcano". | 2010-07-27 03:43:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
Ok I just played it, and OMG the music was amazing! And the visuals were to. But... there was the problem. The one everyone is having, and guess what? I know how to fix it. Ok what you do is when a speech bubble is talking make sure it is where the player can see it (or would be able to if it wasn't invisible), otherwise it gos away to fast. Kinda of annoying to have to remember but anyway. I look forward to playing the others in this series. 5 stars! Can you play my level: LittleBigSpace: secret mission of the water planet, link is in my sig. | 2010-07-29 04:28:00 Author: SackRacer77 Posts: 153 |
i didnt read any of the above posts nor do i know if you've fixed the unreal speed of the speech, but thats the only problem i can think of. Artwork and music are brilliant, made me want to play windwaker again. Its just like the real intro. :star::star::star::star::star: <3 for yor you and the level. Levels for feedback are in my sig | 2010-07-29 04:39:00 Author: MegaBlob Posts: 291 |
Thanks for the input guys! I'll try out your idea Sack, I hope to have it perfect soon! | 2010-07-30 13:46:00 Author: Melted_Gummybear Posts: 162 |
Wow! This level was very good! It really and truely felt like a storybook. Minor gripes though, the speech bubbles, like everyone said, is a little to fast. Music was excellent, but I suggest changing the material from cardboard because you can the cardboard design reflect off the pages, but thats a very minor gripe. Keep up the good work! If you are up to it, could you provide feedback to my level "The Land of Dreams-A Prequel to LBP"? Thank You! | 2010-07-30 14:12:00 Author: Kody59527 Posts: 121 |
