Kinetic CrisisL1GhTmArE After crash landing on a deserted planet, can you survive whats ahead? [1-2 Players - Medium Difficulty] http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/ICON0.png Update: Big, fat thanks to Memodrix for capturing my level on tape and showing off his fantastic skillz to provide eyecandy for anyone who is interested in this epic level. Thanks Memodrix! First I would like to thank SLS10 for letting creators use his AI logic. I usually make my own logic but his newest one, the Gear Shift V1, was perfect for my boss. I also would like to thank Sabre_ for testing this levl over and over. And over. I want to thank the following people for thier feedback and testing also: Talbottrembler, Smelling-Cowboy, Comphermc (thanks for the advice), jkash4, srm73, Crayzie_Bone, Wil2kil and KingOfCaleb. This is a space themed platformer that I have been working on for like...3-4 months. LOL. I've worked on and off on it for awhile but this month I put full priority into it. I put my sweat and blood into this level . This level has been through everything (ex: 160 hour bug, doors not opening ect.). It's gone through drastic cosmetic changes since I first started. I think you'll be looking forword to a solid level. Features: Solid platforming small shooting periods score bubble combos special effects 1 puzzle (optional) An epic boss fight puppeted by SLS10 Gear Shift V1 Heres some advice on the boss......Keep Moving! Thanks again for this awesome footage of my level provided by Memodrix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcH5IoYrWAc&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pw1b-yW5rw&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4YIX6cOE20&feature=channel Pics: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/APhoto.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/KC.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/KC3.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/KC2.jpg Can you make it to the end? http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/KC4.jpg | 2010-07-10 23:18:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Hey L1ghtmare, I am really glad that such a good looking level came out just when I finished reconfiguring my desk for the ultimate review writing efficiency! Took two trips under the house to find the right hook-ups in an old box but i now have PC on the left screen and PS3 on the right with sound all coming out of the same speakers... joy! And so it was my pleasure to play Kinetic Crisis today, I don't have the incredible pack so I am not sure how different it looked from what you see but WOW, what a beautiful level. You must have spent more than a hundred hours on it and it really shows. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Ta7UtPjydE4/TDkBT8pdRAI/AAAAAAAAAX0/2M6VN7kXUjw/s800/A%20Photo.jpg Likes: Background, scenery, the stars, and the view from that first secret area were all very impressive. Spark effect at beginning is spot-on When the meteor hits and the liquefied rock melts down the side, how the heck did you do that? Custom prize bubbles were a nice touch, good branding Elevator password lol Transporter effect was amazing, along with the entrance to the vent Green-lit door effect Wow, the crane mini game! Wow! Love how the camera follows the claw! Suggestions: Candle flames kind of stick out from the theme, maybe bits of flaming material combined with red LEDs? Maybe one more checkpoint during paintinator switch platforming area, which btw was really fun When you return from the power cube crane area it is difficult to see the switch that reverses the arrow. On the return trip from the crane area the paint gun inside the spinning checkpoint prevents the player from grabbing the orange grab-able material . Maybe another gun locker like in the other area would be better than combining it with a checkpoint? At the boss, the paint gun location makes it a little frustrating when you die. I loved the toughness of the boss but I would suggest moving the paint gun to the checkpoint in this instance. Especially since you need it to fend off the attacks. :star::star::star::star::star:<3 Oh and btw? FIRST!!! Lol got 955. That boss was tough. -dTOtheT | 2010-07-11 00:27:00 Author: dTOtheTEE Posts: 183 |
I loved your level, but i do have one problem I can't finish it. When you have to grab the starter, its to high. Idk maybe something broke or I'm missing something. So far though awesome the Star in the background of the beginning looked amazing. What is that metallic rock material u used for the outside? Also play my level series https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30158-Teleportation-Devastation | 2010-07-11 01:02:00 Author: Unknown User |
Wow! Thanks for the indepth level review. Im glad you liked the level. Yes I spent maybe over 200 hours on it. You made my day . If atleast 1 person is happy with the level then im happy. Oh yea btw, we have almost the same computer/ PS3 set-up. My responses are in red. Suggestions: •Candle flames kind of stick out from the theme, maybe bits of flaming material combined with red LEDs? Ill see what I can do with that. •Maybe one more checkpoint during paintinator switch platforming area, which btw was really fun Ill add one on the first jump pad. •When you return from the power cube crane area it is difficult to see the switch that reverses the arrow. Really? Ill add a light above it . •On the return trip from the crane area the paint gun inside the spinning checkpoint prevents the player from grabbing the orange grab-able material . Maybe another gun locker like in the other area would be better than combining it with a checkpoint? LOL thats a blooper! i forgot to configure it too. •At the boss, the paint gun location makes it a little frustrating when you die. I loved the toughness of the boss but I would suggest moving the paint gun to the checkpoint in this instance. Especially since you need it to fend off the attacks. My friend Sabre_ was saying the same. I like difficult bosses lol. But ill add an emmiter version to the checkpoint because when I touch something in the are, the decorations seems to disappear. Thanks again for the review. You can add me if you want to see how the melting effect works. @ Grim-421 Did you finish the crane puzzle or grab the cheat/bypas switch near the crane? if so thats wierd. Ill look into it. And that is Ceramic Mosaic stone with certain lighting effects. I have already writtin feedback in you thread | 2010-07-11 01:07:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
thanks ill replay your level and give a full review. Also I axcidently put one the crane boxes in the righthand hole thinking it was also the trash. Idk if this broke the game but it made me have to cheat to continue. U should definatly cover that up. | 2010-07-11 01:35:00 Author: Unknown User |
Went ahead and played your level. Here are my thoughts! Difficulty: Medium/Hard The Good: - VERY pretty. I actually got so absorbed in the visuals that I wasnt paying attention and walked right off a cliff! XD That has only happened to me once, and that was in one of jump_buttton's levels. - Nice challenge. Wasn't too easy, but definitely not "I want to throw my controller at the cat" hard. - A very fun boss at the end. - The crane minigame was fun! Minor struggling with the controls, but no problems! -Good usage of humor! Definitely liked to Commodore 64 joke :3 The Bad: -The boss at the end started to seem like it was dragging on. I had to have killed it about 5 times. Long boss fights are nice, but that was ridiculous. And this has already been said, but I think much of my pain and deaths would be eased if the paintinator powerup were moved, as his last form killed me 2398742837 times before I even reached the powerup, -Aside from that, there isn't anything bad I can think of! Overall, very fun and addictive gameplay. I do have to express slight concern at the use of minor language at the beginning and end. While I dont have any problems with language (And I'm not sure where Mm stands on the issue) you may wish to change those two words to avoid your stage being modded, due to language. Just a suggestion. I don't wanna see this beautiful stage get modded Now, when I have friends over, I have another very wicked level to show them! A splendid job. This stage is definitely worthy to be spotlighted! You should be proud! I give you :star::star::star::star::star: and a most well earned <3 Now if you could, please check out my newest level! https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30124-The-Shining-Clock-tower-of-Dreams Please and thanks! | 2010-07-11 01:53:00 Author: Laharl Posts: 152 |
@ Grim-421 Ohhhh! I know just what to add. Sorry about that. Ill add a trash sign to the left area. And if you grab the cheat button the floor to the starter should still come up. You'll just miss out on points . @ Laharl Thanks for the feeback and compliments. Thanks for the heads up on the language. ill change it right away. And thanks for the support! Ill get to your level right away after I change those words real quick. | 2010-07-11 02:11:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Alright full review time! In the format of every review I've seen here I will continue. The good: gorgeous visuals (wow!) incredable special effects (meteor crash, teleporter) exciting platforming (I loved the part where you have to shoot, unequip, grab) subtle but effective humor Good lesson to be learned "Don't drink and drive kids" The Not So Good: A game breaking bug. I think it has to do with me foolishly putting one of the power cubes in the power cube emitter hole instead of the trash. When I did it right the second time no problems. There needs to be a light at the exit of the boss room I didn't even see it and foolishly sat content on the converyor belt thinking I was home free. Last thing, Your Level must have the farthest jumps of all sackkind! Lol I'm sorry for that but those jumps are a killer. I'm not saying change them but new people who haven't fully grasped the "no double jump hold to leap system" make get frustrated and rage quit leaving a one star to judge you. But heck with those noobs! this level is friggn' aweome and deserves my:star::star::star::star::star: and a <3. | 2010-07-11 02:23:00 Author: Unknown User |
@ Grim-421 LOL yea but I love that jump. It essential to the point system lol. I may change it in the big update. Ill add light in the area of the door (outside or inside in the update). Thanx for your support! | 2010-07-11 03:11:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Wow, this looks way different than the earlier version, in a good way! Great job, I'll give this a try tomorrow. | 2010-07-11 04:49:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
Thanks! It is way different than what you saw in the beta pics. Much more detail and no volcanos/framerate drops (hopefully on the framerate drops) Update: Added a checkpoint at the 2nd anti gravity pad Added a camera so the "arrow's" switch is easier to see gun pad now locks up paintinator is permanently emitted over the boss checkpoint as soon as the battle starts added a bright red light inside the door/hall of the exit of the boss fight so its easier to see the door | 2010-07-11 06:51:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Hey in the 2X area once both players are up top it is kind of hard to get down from there. Maybe remove that ledge all together and require them to swing over to the switch? This would allow them to just fall straight back down after releasing the point bubbles instead of having to grab the winch-ball to change depths from the ledge. Also it would prevent rascals like me from completing it with two controllers and one person... though even without the ledge I am up for a challenge -DT EDIT: Noticed no frame rate drop. | 2010-07-11 07:54:00 Author: dTOtheTEE Posts: 183 |
I guess I need to add a hint there because after you get the bubbles to dispense, the playesr can jump right over the grab switches. Ill update that too with curving arrows to show the way. Thanks for giving me ideas for making this level much better. I'm still trying to find a work around for the fire you see after the comet hits. XD | 2010-07-11 14:50:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
First off, I'm returning F4F. Which I'm glad I am. xD This level is amazing! Well, so far. I'm currently stuck at the portion where the master switch is too high up. I played the entire crane game (which was entertaining) but now I went back to that are, and am now stuck on the bottom portion of this level (as in, I can't access the paintinator to launch myself up). Any ideas as to why I can get this working? I'll be rating :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 by the way, just because it's such a great level. Even though I am experiencing technical difficulties, I'm sure it works perfectly in most cases and it just messed up for me. I'll probably end up restarting and playing through again hoping it won't mess up again. EDIT: Rofl, I cheated the area and used the curvatures in the walls to launch myself up high enough to grab the switch. So I'll be finishing the level shortly. EDIT2: Just finished. Wow, what a great level. I can't wait to see more from you. I only have two suggestions: - The monster pack music during the crane game didn't really fit too well in my opinion. Awesome mini-game by the way. - It might be a good idea to have speech bubbles disappear at a certain point as they're dialogue from past events that don't make sense anymore. It all depends on your thermo usage (which I imagine to be quite high for such a great level). Everything else is a pro. xD I had fun uploading photos to the level because the scenery was so magnificent. Loved your use of the green VR material as well. | 2010-07-11 21:16:00 Author: AeroForce22 Posts: 392 |
Hmm. Thats wierd. The floor was suppose to come up. If you play through again and it happens again Ill change it so it will emit a stool. Sorry for the inconvenience . Hopefully it was a hiccup and doesnt happen to you again or any other player. Edit: glad you finished it and enjoyed it. I worked very long on it (too long) and yea the thermo is near bursting but I can add more probably.LOL I thought that song fit the area. Ill consider other songs. You have one in mind? Oh yea...how in the worlrd did you cheat the switch area? i tried hard not to make it possible. Lol. Glad you did though . Thanks for playing! | 2010-07-11 21:30:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Wow..!!! Kinetic Crisis was one of the finest levels I ever played. Probably second only to "Underground Ruins".. I tried really hard to find something "wrong" but couldn't. Excellent visuals, lighting and mechanics. I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 for the creator... F4F - "The Lost Tomb of TutenSackem" (Part 2). Ted Ted | 2010-07-12 14:53:00 Author: Muskwa_1 Posts: 213 |
Thanks for playing both my levels Muskwa! I saw your comments on the levels . Ill get to your level as soon as I get on the ps3. I made some updates last night. Heres the list. Updates: Fixed the language in the level so its better suited for younger crowds Added a trash sign to the corresponding area of the crane minigame Added curving signs to the 2x area so people will know how to get out the 2x are XD Also changed the camera in the 2x section so you can see what happens above you Increased the radius for the switch that ativates the floor to the master switch Probably more but I forgot XD. | 2010-07-12 17:09:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
As promised : The good : - The atmosphere of the whole level is awesome (specially the inside part). - The cut-scene of the teleportation (the way you moved the camera is just great). - A touch of humour with the password. - Great meteorite effect at the begining. - Nice outside background (stars). The less good : - In my view the difficulty is too high and cut the experience of the level. - I found the outisde part a little bit overweighted graphically (whereas the inside part is just perfect). - There are too many sequences with the use of R1. - The platforming parts where your jumps have to be perfect are very irratating. Unfortunately I couldn't reach the end because of the grabable orange rounds part with the limited time, the difficulty of this part drove me crazy and I gave up (but I will try later). However it's a great level, I recommand it and I rewarded it with a :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 | 2010-07-13 08:56:00 Author: onisdream Posts: 80 |
Yeah Light aka Partner lol you did awesome on this level & you can really tell that all the time you put into it payed off..Well design and also fun GOOD JOB. | 2010-07-13 12:47:00 Author: Sabre_ Posts: 653 |
- In my view the difficulty is too high and cut the experience of the level. I think the difficulty is just fine. I was perfectly fine with it, and I'm not brilliant at harder levels so... yeah, don't change the difficulty, light! | 2010-07-13 16:35:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
@ Onisdream Sorry you couldn't finish the level. Yea some jumps are kind of long. My levels tend to be a little challenging. The time rollers....I thought I put enough time to get across. Have you tried skipping the first roller and jump right to the 2nd one. Thats what I usually do but its still possible doing it the regular way. Thanks for the high rating even though you finished it. @ Sabre_ Yea it should've been a co-create level but someone ran out of ideas . You know how much time I put in this level. Like 200 hours right? Thanks for helping me move the level and positioning it right after it got the 160 hour bug I had locked the level last night due to some problems with the master switch that activates the elevator. After completing the crane game or grabbing the bypass button the floor was suppose to come up under the switch but it didnt for some people. i reconfigured the switches and made the raising platform skinnier so it moves freely. It should be more reliable now Now for the update (kinda late though ): + Platfom under master switch should be fixed now (didnt work for mistervista but he confirmed that it now works) +added more detail to the planet area. +added more detail to the bunker area +added a sticker that says "TRASH' in the crane game. Also added more detail in that area. +Changed the music to crane game area +added a light that comes on when the new cubes should be placed Edit: @ Talbottrembler The level has changed drastically since you last played/tested. Hopefully its for the better. try it when you get a chance | 2010-07-13 16:40:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Hey! Thanks for your feedback on our Chinatown level, I just played this one and really enjoyed it. The visuals were top notch, they were my favourite thing about the level. I think you've drawn inspiration from levels such as comphermc's Interstellar Infiltration? But you still made the visuals your own, and good use of the Incredibles pack. The lighting sometimes resulted in a drop in framerate but that can't be helped. The platforming ideas were very good, too - I like the implementation of the anti-grav platforms, and the use of the paintinator throughout was very solid. How you managed to it all that into the thermo I have no idea. I broke it somehow when I took the elevator up just after activating the master switch. I jumped a little and the elevator stopped, and I could run left and right at the same level as the LBPC logo. Then I tried popping and respawned at the entrance level. The elevator here didn't open for me, so I jumped down the vent again but the elevator didn't return ... dunno if you have thermo room for adding some failsafe logic in, but the elevator did seem a bit temperamental. I still rated :star::star::star::star::star:, though - the visuals were veeery nice and the gameplay was very solid. Nice job! | 2010-07-14 07:16:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |
@ Holguin86 Oh wow....I know what the problem was. Theres a wall in front of the whole elevator area. So when you jumped you were thrown into the front layer and off the elevator . Sorry about that. I forgot to seal it off in the beta but forgot. Its happened alot so idk how I forgot about it. Its fixed now. I put thin gas in front of the elevator walls so you can jump around and not be moved to the front layer. Also I made it so that the elevator takes you straight to the 3rd floor instead of going floor by floor. I hope you can try it again . Update: + fixed the elevator stall so you cant switch layers while in the elevator +elevator takes you straight to the 3rd floor + room before the generator room is now configure to where if you die a certain amount of times it'll spawn you to the next checkpoint. Still working on the fire after the comet hits. I think I can fit a failsafe to the elevator. I still have thermo left . Thanks again for the feedback! | 2010-07-14 10:12:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Hello there! I just played this level It was a really cool level with nice visuals, nothing looked ugly. I felt like an adventurer, which doesn't happen often. I liked that you had to go a bit back and forth, and ivestigate to get further. The gameplay was nice as well, but I thought you had to grab the ceiling many times, it was a bit the same. I also thought that where you had to remove 3 cubes, and replace them with 3 new ones got a bit boring after removing them. I thought it was really well-made in the beginning though (I like the design of everything there, it also worked nice), but it just went too slow and took more time that it should in my opinion. The boss was really good as well, I enjoyed it a lot. It is very rare I stumble upon such a good boss - you had the place set right, which gave you a bit of challenge (the moving floor with cubes), you had nice targets and they had their good portion of danger. Well done Therefore; I'm giving this level :star::star::star::star: and a <3 Keep it up - and to others, give this a go. You'll enjoy it! PS. Try grabbing the orange coulered material on your way back to the charger, where you got a paintgun before | 2010-07-14 17:24:00 Author: Mugsig Posts: 85 |
Thanks for the review Mugsig. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can see where the repetitiveness comes from. Yea, i'm trying to work on my gameplay side of creating which seems to be my weak point. It'll be better on the sequal. But I can safely say atmosphere/decoration is my strong point . I was thinking for the crane minigame should I make it a race? The boss was made even before the level was finished so I had alot of time to perfect it. I like it because even though it looks crazy, it can be aced with good decision making. LOL yea I know about the orange pad now shhhhhhhhh no 1 else can't know | 2010-07-14 18:51:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
I was thinking for the crane minigame should I make it a race? The boss was made even before the level was finished so I had alot of time to perfect it. LOL yea I know about the orange pad now shhhhhhhhh no 1 else can't know I like the pace and scale of this level and I would not add a race to the crane mini-game. More light and sound will always help but I would not change that part b/c I believe the people who think its boring are a minority. How often do you get to drive a working crane in LBP? And if the player has ADD then they can hit that little orange button that we are NOT talking about *WINK* -DT Gameplay is your weak-point?! weak like a FOX! lol | 2010-07-14 19:11:00 Author: dTOtheTEE Posts: 183 |
Hmm ill keep thinking about it...I think it would make it competitive...And yes compared to say China Towns Bear Shaped Problem, I have a lot to learn. | 2010-07-14 20:05:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Welp! this one kicked my but to no end. Definitely an epic level of epicness! 5 stars! don't make any plans if you wanna finish it though...I know i suck at platforming, but this took me 30 some odd minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcH5IoYrWAc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pw1b-yW5rw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4YIX6cOE20 | 2010-07-14 20:49:00 Author: Memodrix Posts: 879 |

Hey man I just played your level and let me tell you wow that was magnificent the visualization was incredible and and gameplay outstanding. The puzzle with the boxes and the generator was really creative but it was a little difficult with 2 players. Overall score. Visualization: :star::star::star::star::star: Gameplay/Puzzle: :star::star::star::star::star: Originality: :star::star::star::star::star: Boss: :star::star::star::star::star: Music/Sound Affects: :star::star::star::star::star: I gave this level a :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 it was magnificent everything well done and the story was really cool If you come up with part 2 that wound be incredible | 2010-07-14 22:45:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
Wow! I'm glad you really liked it. Thanks for the high scores. I will be making a part 2 but Its on the backburner because of other projects. But that may change. Thanks again for the review. | 2010-07-14 23:21:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Thanks for the feedback of "The Hero Chronicles LV4 The Lost Lagoon". I'm really impressed with this level. The visuals are dynamic and the gameplay is really cool. The space scenery at the beginning is remarkable and the boss is really awesome too. I LOL'd at the password part too. Great work. 5:star:s and a <3 | 2010-07-15 01:12:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
Played this tonight and found a level breaking problem. I loved the level until that point. There's a chain you have to swing on to get to a platform after the crane. Well, my group managed to snap the chain so only one ungrabable link remained ont he ceiling. not sure if you can build that from a sturdier material or reinforce it somehow. Like I said - very cool level up until that moment. | 2010-07-15 05:05:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
@ Justinart Its no problem and thanks for the feedback and high stars. I really appreciate it. @ The Grand Den Mother Ohhh the chain link. I had a feeling it might break on someone. Ill figure out something right away or replace it with something more multiplayer friendly. You like my light effects? Thanks for playing . I hope you try again later after its fixed. Off to create mode....again lol | 2010-07-15 05:31:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Yep I'll play again. Just post when it's all sorted out The lights are really nice - the Green VR especially looks cool too. | 2010-07-15 06:50:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Update: +Took out the theck chain and replaced it with a hanging platform +since theres a new platform it gave me a chance to extend the point combo in the same area (more point ) Yea I love you work Morgana so I observed and took my time going through yours and others levels learning about lights. Hope nothing fails this time. I just tested it 10 times lol. | 2010-07-15 07:26:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Dude i loved your level! -Very Unique visuals and very good use of 3D background - I love how you used the stickers to make the materials more Unique - Very creative setting, i would hav never thought of it! - Fun gameplay! 5 stars for sure and heart! Good job! | 2010-07-16 05:43:00 Author: Unknown User |
Played through it and glad to report that I found no issues this time around. Really fun level man. 5 stars & hearts from me. | 2010-07-16 06:37:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
@ Flamez Thanks! I did alot of tweaking to get the material like that . Thanks for the rating and heart! @ Morgana Ahh thats good! Hope you (or y'all) enjoyed the boss fight. Thanks for the rating and heart. Now I'm going to brag to my friend that I got a hearted level by you lol Update: +fixed the checkpoint for the boss. It was possible to not activate it before the fight scene starts. Added a sensor switch to it so it will activate everytime. I thank Thi766 for finding this out. | 2010-07-16 06:45:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Play this before work and had a good time. The first half reminded me a lot of Comph's Interstellar Infiltration (the look of the planet and the ship), but you managed to really make it your own in the second half. I thought the visuals were good, especially the planet (loved the lava geysers!). I really liked the materials choices there. The gameplay was fun and you managed to switch it up with puzzles, timed platforming, and a boss fight. Nice Job! | 2010-07-16 14:25:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |

Nice Job! Yea I played Interstellar Infiltration atleast....20-30 times . I really liked that level and was inspired by it and from watching alot of different star treks (Voyager especially) and Star gates with my dad. Yea even comphermc even said it reminded him of his level and Shoot! Jump! Die? by Jackofcoarse. Im glad you liked it as it is now because it looked crazy in the beta. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/ms1.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/ms2.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Rahsaan1/SpaceLevel/ms3.jpg As you can see it changed alot . That was a nice level with great visuals and very good layer-usage. There has been one thing that happened at the crane-part: after I put the 3 empty cubes into the trash-section, I dropped one of the cubes at the right side and I couldn't solve this puzzle - I had to skip this section. For my taste, this part is a bit too long, but nevertheless it looks very cool. The part where you have to sneak to the tubes is very nice - loved that very much. One word to the boss-part: hehe, well, I am a bit confused about it, because I don't know if I like it or not :-) it was nice and looks great but it didn't kicked me a lot . All in all this is a great level and there is no doubt that you put a lot of energy and sweat into this project. :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 for this one! The visual design in this level is amazing. Good use of stickers and decorations to add details, as well as lighting. I especially liked the lights set in the background layers at the start section. The gameplayplay was fun, involving the core elements which are enjoyable. I still havent finished the level yet as at the crane arm section, while grabbing a crate the whole thing broke off, leaving no way to get to the nect sectin. Ill have to replay it when i have time. Amazing level which shows how much time, effort and care you put into it. Definitely should be 5 stars. Great work . | 2010-07-17 14:45:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |

Greets Neo Thanks Neo and glad you liked it. You dropped the cube into the same hole it came out of or the trash? If you threw it in the trash then you could keep picking new cubes up until they stay since the emitter is always on and only 4 can be out at 1 time. I never played Metal Gear Solid but my friend says the part sneaking through the vent was just like it XD. Yea I know the cube part is a little long but theres a big reward if you solve it though (1500 pts). Thats also why I made a way to bypass it . Thanks for the high rating and the heart! I might have to tweak the settings a bit more. Well theres a skip grab switch on the far right if it breaks so you can finish the level. It'll activate the way to get back but no reward . Thanks for the compliments but I know I need to still work on having varied gameplay. Thanks for replying and the high rating | 2010-07-17 17:47:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Lightmare, there's no doubt I will play this one again :-) Yes, I dropped the cube into this whole where it came from :-) it was the last cube and I just thought "huh, now I'm stuck" and didn't try to re-emit it. Next time I will be more careful :-) | 2010-07-18 09:39:00 Author: (___NEO___) Posts: 206 |
LOL I seen that happen before. The piston is too weak so it wont raise it back up. Hope it goes smooth this time. PS: No one will beat my high score | 2010-07-19 22:28:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
Now for my late feedback... You are a badass creator you know that? *insert epic appraisal here* Very much liked how you used the rock material with the lighting. Looked nice. Only thing u might want to correct is the double "to save" in the message when u enter the spaceship. Oh and please add a peping sound one second befor the crane thingy of the boss starts shooting. It didn't shoot most of the time but when it did, i died almost everytime. Apart from that i can't imagine anything that could make it better. If there are 5 Star levels out there, this is one of them. Earned some red pulsing tissue just to save to save some time when i want to play it again. ;P | 2010-07-20 19:24:00 Author: Vanemiera Posts: 329 |

Good eye! i'll fix that right away. Peping sound? I'll add a sound effect to alert the player when it has started. Thanks for the feedback even though you didn't have to. I really appreciate it . Played your level mate, heres what I thought. Good Stuff : - Really nice material selection, a very unique one and it really conveys a satisfying alien planet. - Nice combination decoration usage, like on the circle armor plates with the exhaust pipe, very subtly nice. - Wicked 3d scenery used nicely to accentuate the level without being the whole point of it. - A very devious boss section, clever tracking turrets indeed. Stuff to think about : - I got killed by the cutscene camera when you see the flaming meteor. - Those green power cubes are very hard to drag around, maybe a slight material change would be good, but they do do a good job of conveying density, I'm not sure - It isn't obvious that in the 'sack made cave' you are supposed to grab the ceiling, maybe a slight angle change on the camera angle would fix that. - The bit where you get the paintanator and shoot the button is very, very unobvious. The button is so very sneakily hidden. - The orange rotating swing section, it was fairly frustrating! It's difficult to do that fast, and you feel like you have to because you are being timed. A visual indicator might help players work out how long they have left, so they don't get scared and try to rush it. Anyways, :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 | 2010-07-22 18:30:00 Author: Asbestos101 Posts: 1114 |
- I originally wanted that cutscene to be seen from a a camera and not a magic mouth but couldnt get it to work . Ill try that idea again or i'll move the activation of the scene closer. - I think I know which one youre talking about. I'll fix the weight. - Aww but theres a grab switch on it . Ill see what I can do. - Which part? In the beginning of the ship area or after the you fall down the vent? If its the first part theres a cutscene that shows you where its at . is it that one? - Many people complained about that area. Ill add...10 seconds to it. It might be hard adding something in. Thanks for taking the time out to play it and the really helpful suggestions. Ill get to those today. Thanks for the high rating and heart ! | 2010-07-22 19:45:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |

Seems like I will never stop working on this level . Once again update time. Improvements: + Increased the radius of the switch that activates the comet cutscene. + Changed the material of some of the power cubes/boxes core and resized some for easier movement. + Moved the camera angle of the bunker area upward a little for a better hint on what to do. + Added a light source to shine on the "button" so its easier to find. + Added 10 more seconds of time on the orange roller section. + Changed speech bubbles that had double phrases Thanks to everyone who's given me feedback because its has made this a more enjoyable level. It feels like the communty is teaching me how to create better . Keep the suggestions coming! | 2010-07-23 04:28:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |

I played your level yesterday and i have it say it was amazing! Likes: •The Opening scene was amazing, i really liked the sparks coming out of the rocket when it had blown up •The 3D layers and scenery for the cave was very spooky! •I enjoyed playing aboard the ship, especially when you need to get the generator going to activate the lift. •The ship looked very "spaceship-y" if you get me haha Suggestions • I don't think there is any suggestions for your level it was pretty cool. :star::star::star::star::star: Tag:Machinery By the way is there going to be a number 2 becuase you left it on a cliff hanger which left me in suspense | 2010-07-25 17:23:00 Author: J05thompso Posts: 16 |

Positives: Nice use of materials, shadow, color and decoration to give your level visual impact. Your use of the 3D glitch was really great. It added nicely to the level without being a distraction. I especially liked the planets and stars in the background layers. I liked the use of the flickering orange lights were the sparks were falling at the beginning of the level, nice touch. I liked your shooting meteor, that was kind of neat. I loved the switches you created to make the "secret path" and in the ship. the control room looks great! Your teleporter sequence was pretty nice. I liked your door lock sequence after the paintinator. I like a lot of the little things, like having to rip the cover of the duct before I could get in it. I loved your use of an invisible platform to simulate the tractor beam type lift in the power room! Nifty stuff! All of your elevator doors and animations were wonderful, in fact, all of the animation sequences were very well done. Suggestions: You have a few typo's such as detinator, instead of detonator prior to the meteor shot, and doin instead of doing in the control room, and Im instead of I'm after the transport, 3rd floor is accessable instead of accessible, etc. The final boss battle was a nice idea but it would have been nice if there was a little more challenge to it. I only needed to simply die and keep respawning while firing away. It would have been nice if there were some additional things which needed to be done in order to make the guns vulnerable or something along those lines. Overall, I'm giving the level :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3, plus I've given you a <3 as well! Nicely done!! | 2010-07-27 07:06:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
Ahhhh I hate when I write typos!!!! I'll fix those right away. Good find Rohar . So you think the boss is easy? I thought it was best not to die. Especially because you lose 5% of your score every time you die. So if you have 3000 or 4000 points thats a big chunk coming out of your score. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the high rating and the hearts !!! | 2010-07-28 01:34:00 Author: L1GhTmArE Posts: 519 |
I thought this level was amazing. I loved the detail in the scenery especially in the beginning outside area. Also I think the difficulty isn't anything to complain about but that's just my opinion. My only gripe is that "puzzle" I don't know if the moving the power blocks with the crane was a puzzle or not but it wasn't really puzzling and it felt really repetitive, but other than that great level, 5 stars and heart. | 2010-08-06 20:03:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |

I knew there were going to be mixed feelings on it so I had implemented the skip button. I might change the way it looks so people who dont want to do it will notice it more. Hey I actually played this a while back. Refreshing memory with another playthrough....ok! You have so many little amazing affects in this level that make it reeally great. The 3d spacescape background, little lava/fire spitters, great outside scape....and the to switch inside for a whole new look. The level is visually fantastic! Wrapped up with nice boss fight...5/5! | 2010-08-07 00:11:00 Author: Lockstitch Posts: 415 |

Heeey! (: Tried to play it yesterday but sadly I couldn't finish it, because your level is soooo loooooong! :'D But that's nothing negative!! I liked the beginning, it just looked so good, I really felt like I was on a really deserted planet! And when this meteor fell down...I just thought.. "Yes, this is REALLY a deserted planet!" I don' know why, but this little extra-effect made my day! As I couldn't play it to the end, I will try it again today and will give another feedback, maybe with some improvement suggestions! Hey there! Really enjoyed this - although to be honest, I'm not sure I was too keen on the beginning - by that I mean the outside bit - I don't know why - maybe because it felt like too much was going on - maybe tooo much detail if that's possible? Ah well, it's probably just me! Inside though - that's an entirely different story! Amazing! I love all the detail that's in there - despite you using the VR materials a bit too much for my liking - it felt a bit distracting? I liked all the original obstacles and gameplay items - such as when you shoot the switch to be propelled upwards, and quickly have to get rid of the paint gun to grab onto the roof. I also liked the platforms which made you able to jump higher, and had a cool sound when you did so, which made it much more dynamic! One thing you may need to look at though - sometimes things happened, such as switches being pulled or platforms being raised, and I can't help but feel that that experience could have been made better by using more sound objects. Great level - 5 stars and a heart. Oh, and congrats on the spotlight! This level deserves it! | 2010-08-15 18:39:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
