All rise, Round 38 of the Caption Contest is finally in session! Sorry for the delay, but I was busy with real life projects as well as enjoying the holiday weekend here in the US last weekend! Every once in awhile, we decide to take a break! ..plus we didn't have an idea for a new pic for awhile! lol

The premise is simple; whoever places the best caption on the provided LBP image wins! The caption could be a thought going through the characters' heads, or something the characters are saying, or even a short story leading up to the picture! It can practically be anything you want, as long as it's clean and abides by the forum rules.

NOTE: Humor is the only way to win!

Each round a new picture will be posted and you have two weeks before the thread is locked for judging. Once the next round commences, a new picture will be posted, and the winners from the previous round shall be announced.

Rules: NOTE new rule below!!! see last one in red

Only two captions per user (you do not have to post both at the same time).

Image editing/manipulating (Photoshopping/GIMP-ing) is allowed.

Awards will be handed out at the end of the round, usually on a Saturday after the 2 week time limit. At that time, the image for the next round will be displayed.

Post the pictures on this thread, there will be no gallery section but they will be archived when the round is over.
Image needs to be around the same size as the original for legibility. Smaller ones will be accepted, but if they cannot be read and you cannot fix your entry, then it will be horribly hard to judge and probably will not win. More then welcome to get with me to give you help, plus I have a handy how to up above!

Awards: (currently being tallied further below since XP is not available due to site upgrade)

Winning Caption -the best caption gets this. [250 xp]

Second Place - second best caption. [100 xp]

Third Place - third best caption. [50 xp]

Consolation Prize - this award goes to the caption that didn't get an award, but was still very good(this may not be handed out every time). [20 xp]

** Note - Many many thanks to our good friend Gravel for the use of his circus tent and circus cannon. We had a great idea for a pic and started out to make the set, but wanted to take a look at Gravel's The MUPPET Level as it has the best circus tent and related circus goodies in LBP!! We started in to making our own when we looked at each other and decided why mess with the best and contacted Gravel to see if he would be so kind as to lend us these two objects and he most kindly obliged! Thanks again Gravel!!
(They are usually harder than heck, but if you want to see state of the art characters and object design in LBP, look no further than a level by Gravel!!)

No worries. In fact for future reference, you could use the pic and add the border around it to have it even a bit larger document size than the original. My pet peeve is when entries submitted are so small you can't even read the captions inserted.

It doesn't help them and sorta undermines the whole purpose of having a great HD LBP pic.

Well, three entries, and no results. Round 37 was my best. I'm starting to get the feeling that my sense of humor isn't exactly anyone else's "cup of tea". Whatever.

Congratulations to the winners.

I'm still disappointed though. <_<

Awww sorry! You've had some really good entries, but unfortunately found others just a bit better. It's only for fun anyway. We do give away Exp, but not like that has been around in quite some time.

I have some handy instructions in the first page to help you avoid that. Clicking on your thumbnail it looked fine. I just pulled the url and inserted it as an image not referenced locally.

Hmmm maybe look at the first page? You might find tons of info there! Including who the judges are. I hear they are most wise and such.

...oh and no need. We don't do it for anything except the smiles on everyone's faces here at LBPC.
