if u have unfinished levels on your moon from lbp1 and u buy lbp2 will the unfinished levels still be there ? or will they be gone ?

Everything gets carried over from LBP1, so all your levels will still be there, exactly as you left them.

If not than surely you can just load your backup onto LBP2 or just save it, locked, online

I dont know if it "magicly" appers on your LBP2, i dont think its that easy. you might need to ask someone who might know.

I think LBP2 could read LBP1 data, same as UC2 can read UC1 data to give you free money in game for completing UC1 All depends on Sony and what they allow developers to do

What will happen is that LBP2 will probably be able the DLC data file from LBP1 and also your level backups. You levels from LBP1 might also be copiable from LBP2. .

It seems very much that LBP2 will be able to import LBP1 levels and profiles. I'd assume that this would be done automatically when you install LBP2 on a system that already has LBP1, and as Ranger says, the DLC data will need to be copied across / read by both. I shouldn't worry too much, whatever the mechanism is, you will be able to get your LBP1 data onto LBP2 without much hassle.

I really doubt half the costume would transfert. It's either you transfert them or you don't. STOP WORRYING PEOPLE. Both us and Media Molecule wants the transition to be as smooth as butter. There won't be problems.

Actually, MM said that "ALL your LBP1 stuff will transfer over to the new game." So, yes, it will.

They asked this in an interview with media molecule, and yes they all get transfered to your moon on LBP2.

Seems fair to say that all LBP1 costumes/materials/stickers, etc. will already be on the LBP2 disk, and so the game will probably just scan your profile data (and the DLC file that stores what items you actually own) and unlock the content accordingly. I wouldn't worry about it too much I think it would be cool if your LBP1 moon was actually separate from your LBP2 moon. As in, you go to your moon, press something, and the moon spins round really fast for a second or so, and all the LBP2 stuff is gone, with your old LBP1 stuff in it's place. (Hard to explain - in my mind it looks awesome )
