Recently, I have begun to create more and more. And when I come back to some of my levels to continue work it's always a pain to find the material I was using; especially since I now have most of the materials. I know this is such a minor thing in the game. But all of those minor things can add up to a nice game. So... My proposal... Something where you double click on the material or where you press something that would automaticaly send you to the shape selection and you could use that material.

LBP2 is going to have a section of the popit that contains each object/material/ect currently placed in your level. This is fantastic since, yeah, there's going to be huge amounts of materials in your popit. D:

Nice idea. Although... I can see something like R1 + click being a more friendly alternative. As it is now, if you click once, it selects the material, which can shift/zoom your camera.

Great to hear that there is going to be something like this in LBP2. Having materials that are in use listed will also make you aware of what you are doing, since adding new materials kills thermo. And the idea of double clicking was just an example R1 + click sounds good too.

Never thought of that. But, I do use lots of the same materials for details in levels. That reminds me... I need to finish my first ever level so I can get it published.
