Too Much?

Archive: 16 posts

Little Big Planet 2 will be released later this year. It will include a bundle of new features such as Sackbots and Microchips, but can we handle all of this?
Media Molecule stated that such advanced tools were not included in the first game because they weren't sure if we could handle the basic tools found in the first game. Can we?
Clearly some have mastered the create tools and I would gladly buy the game again just for the experience.
I for one will welcome the new features with open arms and will try to keep my head above the water.
Let me know what you think on the topic

Well, all I can say it's: Don't matter how complicated it may be, let's use it! (makes an weird looking thing and smiles)
I hope they give us lots of tutorials, because we're going to get technical!

Yeah, i think the tutorials will help us un-too-much-ificate the new tools.

I would laugh with glee when I get the new tools. Then use all the new and old ones to create a huge level that changes... Shouldn't say...
Well all the new tools in lbp2 will probably make you feel just like how you did when you first popped that disc in and I forone would welcome it.

I think the community has well and truly proven they can handle the original create tools and then some. There will always be those who struggle as not everyone is technically minded, but I think we'll all adapt to the new tools without too much trouble. The human brain has an incredible capacity for learning and adaptation.2010-07-10 04:57:00

The great thing about tools in LBP (and LBP2) is they range in uses, from the simple move object A to Slot B to logic pieces like ands ors player trackers and randomizers From what ive seen LBP2 will also give us that convenience of being able to ease into the tools with basic uses and work our way up to who knows what! 2010-07-10 06:47:00

I'm actually really looking forward to the tutorials, so the more complicated, the better!

Stephen Fry just makes everything super-awesome.

It doesnt matter how complicated the tools are, I'm gonna learn them and make some awesome stages no matter what I have to do And with the brains in this community, we're gonna have a lot of help learning more of the advanced stuff. I say, bring on the complex stuff (Even if it seems like LBP2 is going to make this easier on us.)2010-07-11 02:03:00

I surely think we can handle the new features.it certainly will make the new players think and have to play around more the features so they won't produce horrible levels. Not to be mean or anything.plus with all these new features being displayed in story mode it won't be ace the story levels and never look back at them.2010-07-12 18:01:00

Yes, we can handle them..
and when lbp2 comes co-creating will be/can be more important than ever!
One person might be better at cutscenes or creating original sackbot stuff, while another is better at logic or visuals.
But this also means that we need to put even more efford and time into the levels we create.
Luckily there will be mouse and keyboard support, meaning corner editing is 1000% faster. (i friggin hope)
