These in-game achievements, even though they may be useless stats, are some of my most looked forward to things. then again I have a lot of those, but since I can't create... <_> Anyway, I know that they don't mean much, and they may destroy community (although they say lbp.me and a new Share function will help fix that), but I just like these things... they're fun. D: But yeah. jackofcourse pretty much confirmed there will be some for hearts (in the thread pins were confirmed, he said in response that "MM was hoping people wouldn't care since it's in-game". So that my be a problem, but hopefully not as big (if it isn't trophy related, at least trophy peepz wouldn't care so that would cut down on those guys, leaving only people whoa actually like LBP H4Hing...) I'm assuming there will be some for official contests, and perhaps there will be a way for people to bargain with MM to get pins to give away for really good reasons? that may be hard to manage, but if MM works hard, perhaps they can keep a guy or two up determining what would be good for pins (Spaff and Tom would immediately jump to mind) And there would probably be some for huge achievements... in which case, I hope I get one retroactively for LBPC The Game. <_< But yeah, anyone else looking forward to this somewhat controversial feature? Any particular hopes or whatnot for it?

I like them! Can you make custom ones, though? Like, could you set one up so if someone finds every secret area in your level, you give them a Pin?

However, there would have to be some way of MM deciding what is worthy of giving away a Pin. If anyone could give away a Pin for anything... then the market would be flooded by pins and the system would be broken. But having pins for just MM levels would be boring :/

One of the older E3 videos showed a pin being earned for collecting 100 bubbles. So, pins will be numerous from MM, similar to how there are in-game medals in Uncharted 1 and 2. Pins will not be customizable, and that also likely means that you can't make your own for your levels.

I think you can make pins using the holographic material,though only in your level and people won't see that you earned it but it could unlock cool stuff for that level (example: Pretend your playing a RPG and you unlock a 'pin' then you may get a special sword for that level only).

Cybersnake, that's just a player made in-level reward. It's best to avoid confusing players and over complicating a build by trying to do that and reusing the name.

I also said: ''Well the pins that were seen/mentioned at the Create Jam and that are seen in Donkey Shows video has one for hearts...whether that makes the finished version of the game who knows...'' That's a long way off from confirming that will be some for hearts. It is saying that there was some for hearts in the game at that time (as can be seen in Donkey's videos). Whether they will still be there come release...who knows!

Whether they will still be there come release...who knows! Of course some will be for hearts. From what I've seen, it looks like the pins are a way to show off to people who see your planet what you think is important. If, for some reason, you think that a 100x combo is important, you can put the pin for that up. Or, if 100,000 plays on your levels is important to you, you put that one up. You can only display three at a time, so deleting them is arbitrary, since only three of them are public at any given time. I personally don't think that the ability to create pins is a good idea, because that's not the point of pins. Plus, someone would make a pin for a level, play the level, and post their own pin on their own profile that says "I'M TEH BEST ONE11!!1"

Besides, than people can fudge huge achievements like "100,000 plays" or "All trophies completed" or "All prize bubbles collected". The point is, MM says that they're going have an exorbitant amount of pins for many different things... why would you need custom ones? And pins for doing something in a level isn't the point of pins. They're not tiny awards to be given out to anyone you happen to pass by. They're (like I said before) used to showcase something you think will impress viewers of your profile. If you want to give pins to people for doing something in a level, do what people have been doing since the game came out and just give them a prize bubble.... it's worked pretty well so far.

Hmm, these pins kinda sound like something I have implemented into my newer, not yet published, levels. What I do is have a set amount of empty prize bubbles. Every time you get a prize bubble, a trophy appears in a trophy room at the end of the level that corresponds with that bubble. It's a long process, but it looks cool when you go into the the trophy room, and you have them all, including the platinum one for collecting all the others...
