How do I make flying enemies?

I can't figure out how to make it where a flying enemy is just sitting there, and then when you get in range it flys over and tries to ram into you. Any ideas? I had an impractical idea where I attach the enemy to a piston, and then once you get in range a sensor motor makes the piston push the enemy to a point where I think your character would be at the time. I've made little creatures which use several jets and proxy switches to target a sackperson and fly towards them. The body of the creature is made up of peach floaty to counteract the weight of the jets. I've published a quick level where the aim is to destroy as many of them as you can to gain points, if you want to try them out . I've set the radius of the proxies to the max but if you shink it down a bit, the creature will remain stationary in the air untill a sackboy enters the radius. The easiest thing is either a rail system (weak stiff pistons that hold your creature at the desired angle and using rockets for propulsion or something involving a hidden balloon offscreen that your creature is suspended from. | 2010-07-07 13:31:00 Author: croissantbuncake Posts: 572 |
