Too much stuff
Archive: 17 posts
Wondering how the popit in LBP2 is going to work when there's thousands of new stickers and tens of new materials on top of what is already in LBP1. I'd like all the LBP2 stuff to be separate at first, then I can choose to import materials, stickers and costumes from LBP1 when I feel I've gotten used to using the new stuff. If it's all thrown in together at the start I can see myself getting frustrated looking for things. | 2010-07-05 14:57:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |
I believe they already mentioned you can have full screen mode so it covers the entire screen. They also mention you'll be able to arrange and collapse sections of the popit for faster viewing, and some other stuff i don't remember, so i don't think there's "too much" to worry about. Hope that helps! | 2010-07-05 15:02:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
What im more worried about is that LBP takes up more than half my ps3s memory (including backups of levels and profiles) so when LBP2 pops up it'll explode! (at least i'll be able to delete the LBP1 game data..) Wait! Thats the Answer!! Delete LBP1 game data travel back in time collect glitches but play on LBP2! (i hope) | 2010-07-05 15:23:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |

(i hope) O_o How much memory does your PS3 have exactly...? It shouldn't take more than a few Mb's... Even the Game Data should take ony about 800Mb's, not even a Giga, so are you sure its LBP that takes that much space? | 2010-07-05 15:31:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

I don't know... 800 MB game data then alot of save data x3 | 2010-07-05 17:03:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Yeah, they did mention that there are better (and more) organization tools for your popit. @KernelM-There's always something you can delete on your PS3 to make room. Always... | 2010-07-05 17:06:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
I don't know... 800 MB game data then alot of save data x3 Check system information in PS3 system settings, you can always upgrade your hard drive, but i can't believe it takes that much of space | 2010-07-05 17:41:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Do you actually export stuff from lbp1 or is it just included on the lbp2 disc? I haven't heard either way yet, but I figured it was included on the disc. | 2010-07-06 02:07:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |

But the lowest amount of memory a PS3 can have is 20gb. How do you have 10gb of LBP data?? I've got about 1gb (including updates). | 2010-07-06 02:19:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
I don't know! But when I installed Bioshock 2 it said I was full! I checked and I have 37GB left?!! | 2010-07-06 08:50:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
I don't know! But when I installed Bioshock 2 it said I was full! I checked and I have 37GB left?!! it should show: free space / whole disk partition capacity Also PS3 reserves few gigs for system and caching If you want free space easiers way is just got to "Game Data Utility" and delete game installs for games that you not playing much, when you run the game it will just reinstall it(Save games will be save since they store in Save data, LBP is only PS3 game using Game data as save data storage) and you always can upgrade your hard drive even to 500GB, you can use any small/laptop SATA hard drive (i think there data transfer speed limitation, you need to google it) | 2010-07-06 15:11:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

I'm not sure, LBP1 story mode stuff probably wont, but all the basic materials/tools, buttons/switches .etc should be in there. Also, If no ones brought it up, isn't there going to be a 'stuff used in current level' tab I heard? | 2010-07-06 15:57:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
Actually, the FAQ said that everything from LBP1 had to be imported. | 2010-07-06 16:28:00 Author: Arkei Posts: 1432 |
37GB? That's more than enough to run any game. Waaaay more! | 2010-07-06 17:05:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
I have heard that popit design will be streamlined e.g, collapsable categories, favorites lists, some sort of search function, list of everything used in current level. | 2010-07-06 19:22:00 Author: Scifiguy Posts: 95 |
I also heard that there will be forders | 2010-07-06 21:27:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
