Private Level Sharing

Seeing as you can make private levels and hand out keys to them to your friends(Source (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/19/littlebigplanet-story-mode-private-level-sharing-ps-eye-use-a/)), I think I am going to make a private level full of all of my creations(vehicles, contraptions, cool scenery, ect) and, upon beating it, you get all of the stuff I've made.

I might end up reserving it for people who contribute to this forum, as incentive. Not to say you won't get one, I just want to use it as a reward.

That gives me an idea. I think it would be cool for a select number of members to collaborate and put all of their best items into a level, and we could hand out a key to that level as a prize for contests, or just to members who contribute. At that point, we could even add the winning member's items to the level, so the library of cool stuff expands every time we hand it out. What do you think?		2008-07-28 22:02:00

I'm probably going to use it only for unfinished projects and collaborations and sort've beta tests of my levels , and a single rec room so that it will remain private. You can put adult material in the private rooms right? They go unmoderated I hear (But obviously the grief report should still be there)... But as far as making a level for friends only, I don't think so...

I'm definitely going to use private keys for beta's, levels that may violate copyrights, and levels that may be deemed inappropriate for the general online community 2008-07-29 20:05:00

I doubt I'll make that many private levels. I might make one and put the blueprints for all my best inventions and creations in it so friends can use them if they wish but other than that I'd like people to play all my levels. And beta testing will probably be an on going thing as i'm creating the levels.

It's gonna be so cool, you'll just have created something and so you check who's online, you drop them a message and a minute or two later (if they have to start up the game) they'll be beta testing it for you! Real-time beta testing!

TBH I don't really have much interest in making adult themed levels... most people doing that will be making levels full of penises anyway.

I am looking forward to making a few dark, horror themed levels though . But the most offensive thing I'm planning is a few spatters of blood, hanging bodies, decapitated corpses and dead babies .		2008-07-29 20:15:00

It's funny though that they will probably allow blood and corpses etc, but not nudity/eroticism. Just shows how backward our world is

(But i'm totally down with the violence! )

Something that naturally occurs everyday (sex/nudity) is so taboo in our world, especially here in the US. While violence and gore are so acceptable.

It's just a strange thing. I know that in a lot of European countries, it's the opposite, which makes way more sense.		2008-07-29 21:49:00
