Global Domination. Is this possible?

Okay, many months ago, I started to plan on making a series of levels called Global Domination. Ever since the announcement of LBP2, I've been even eagerer to do this. When I was first contemplating these levels, I thought of one of the levels consisting of you wondering around an enemy base with an ally, which would be impossible without sackbots, and it seems as though Mm read my mind! It is mainly a shooter. Now the thing is, I already made 2 parts of about 10, and the enemies were, of course, polystyrene sackperson shaped cutouts. There are initially two factions, and I made four soldier types for the one that is at first your enemy, each with unique armor and guns: Plasma ball emitting soldier, impact explosive emitting soldier, electricity emitting soldier, and fire emitting soldier.

Now the thing is, this AI will be obsolete with the new Sackbots. I ask, how can do what I described, but with sackbots? Can I glue the guns to the sackbots arms? If not, can I put movers and such on the guns and make them follow sackbots? If you get to close to the sackbot, will the gun then follow you? If neither of these are possible, then can we change the bullets the paintinator shoots, because in some E3 vids there is a section in the goodies bag or tool box that says bullets, one of them being fire. I hope I can get some insight on this, because I really do not want to use old fashion cutouts as soldiers.

tl;dr How to have a sackbot have special guns?

That is a very good point!

Gluing will probably not work, but the creatinator will do just what you're wanting!

Gluing will probably not work, but the creatinator will do just what you're wanting!I suppose, but when you think about it, soldiers with hats that spew bullets, rockets, fire, and lightning? Doesn't make much sense. I just can't see a science fiction war story without people with guns in hand.

Hmm...

Maybe have the players play as Sackbots, with the enemies holding Paintinators? Stick a paint switch on the Sackbots the players are playing as, (If it's possible...).

I dunno, that's the best I could come up with.

Make a costume that looks like the sackbots are holding guns, then plop a creatinator on their head, decorate to make it look like an army helmet, then make creatinator emit the things from in front of the gun, (Like placing things where you want with normal emitters.) and viola, it looks like their guns are shooting.2010-07-05 03:20:00
