I'm taking points from Wexfordian and wondering if you guys in the LBPC community wouldn't mind voting on my photo for a Sweet Leaf Tea contest.

I'm already in fourth place, but I can make third with lots of helpful votes. :-)

There's actually two prizes:

One prize is a year's supply of Sweet Leaf tea, and me being a southern girl, well. Let's just say we love our tea down in the South, lol!

The Grand Prize is tickets to Lollapalooza which is one of the most anticipated outdoor festivals here in the U.S. Lots of great live bands Wolfmother, The Black Keys, the Strokes, even Lady Gaga (if you're into that sort of thing).

A very eclectic scene.

My competitor, I have to say is WAY better than I am at social networking. I've tapped out just about all of my facebook friends and twitter followers. I'm hanging on by thin string guys, lol! Even my writing group has voted.

The woman in 2nd place has 74 votes. I have 78.

Thank you so much for your vote Arkei. To answer your question the voter has to do one or the other. If there are too many "suspect votes" I could be disqualified. Mostly, that means if I made 100 emails and 100 twitter accounts to vote, but don't worry you'll be alright.

I have an idea, make a twitter and follow a ton of people, just search random things on the people search on twitter with common names like "Jon,Emily" ECt
Follow all the people that come up, maybe 500 (Won't take as long as it sounds) Most will follow you back so then post the link to your picture on the twitter account and many of them will see it!		2010-07-05 06:58:00

unfortunately, I have to stay in the lead until the 22nd to win the tickets, lol.

I definitely don't want members to feel I'm spamming the board. I've placed a lot of focus on twitter and facebook.

Of course, I'd love to be pushed forward by fellow LBPCers, yet I don't wish to be irksome. You've guys have done so much and I appreciate every vote.

Well, the yearly supply of tea is actually a random drawing. Essentially, I could have collected 150 votes and still not win the yearly supply, because winning the tea is about odds. The tickets are based off of votes, at least this is how I understand it.2010-07-05 21:31:00
