I would love to be able to capture objects. I wonder if it will be in the next update.

It has been a long while since the last one, and we are over due for one.

But we can already capture objects

I will try to make it understandable.

Open up your collected objects bag and place any 3d object anywhere. Now go to your captured objects bag and select the capture tool. Now try to capture that 3d object.
...
...
...
...
If you say you can't, then you are correct.
If you say you can, then try again.

Basically, YOU CAN NOT CAPTURE ANY 3D OBJECT!!!

What Cory means is that you can't capture any object that's not made by you. He wants an update that will allow us to capture the objects from the Turbo! pack or something like that.2010-07-05 04:27:00

Ahhh I see. That would be a cool new feature. A feature that I would like to see is the photo capture tool, where you can take pictures of things and make your own stickers in create mode. I don't know if that would be possible on the PSP but it sure would be nice to see it happen.2010-07-05 17:26:00

Capturing images should be possible its only a picture is not like it moves if you can take a picture on one of those old phones then i don't see why you carn't on a psp2010-07-06 16:26:00

Well, I'm pretty sure that Cambrige (Sorry if I mis-spelled) has a reason for not having the photo capture tool in the game right now.2010-07-07 20:37:00

Globals....thats what is the biggest feature missing, everything else mentioned seems pretty small. Having globals could pave the way to having great atmospheres, and water possibly.2010-07-08 16:14:00

Welcome to LBPC. And the reason everything sounds small, is because the PSP simply can't handle those major effects. So it's best to go small for now.

We would all love that feature if it was ever put into the game but I'm not sure if the PSP would be able to handle it.

Yes i believe the psp is capable of that, but i see why cambridge has not put it in our game.

People could take pictures of the rare stickers and use them. Then the rare stickers would have no value.

Same with the sticker/costume packs.

Well, what I was meaning to say was, that you can only capture photos while in create mode. And of course if someone has a rare sticker like that, than why would they want to make their level copyable? Since they are such an amazing creator.

So, you would only be able to capture photos in create mode. Sorry if I created confusion.

i thought you mean using the camera attackment for the psp.

What could anyone use that for other than to make your own sackboy stickers?

The PSP isn't a limited console, and basic lighting effects shouldn't effect things too much, and its definitely capable.2010-07-09 14:40:00

Let me tell you :-)

One major issue that I run into with LBP PSP is that I cannot use Sticker Switches to lock parts of levels in the way that I would like to. I would love to make it so that there is an area in Destiny 2 which you can only access once you collect a custom sticker that you have collected from Destiny 1 or Destiny 3. It would be an awesome way to make the levels connected. Even better, I could make it so that there is a custom sticker that I made at the end of Destiny 2, and you need it at the start of Destiny 3 (to use it on a sticker switch) and it will determine what you did in Destiny 2. If you collected everything, then you will get a certain sticker that makes it so that you have a bunch of cool stuff in Destiny 3, if you just rushed through it, then when you start Destiny 3 you will be missing a lot of things as well as some story.

It could make it so everything changes, and it could drastically change the replayability of both Destiny 2 and 3! I used the ability to create stickers to great extents on PS3 by having each of my levels (LBL#2, LBL#3, and LBL#4) have 10 stickers in them, then there was an accompanying level you could use the stickers in at the start, you then pressed "R" and a cut scene would play out, and the length of the cut scene was based off of which stickers you put out.

There are so many cool locking mechanisms like this that you can do with the ability to make stickers.

The thing that I would REALLY like to see are keys for levels and the ability to lock levels. I have no idea why we are unable to lock levels? It doesn't seem like it would cause any issues for the PSP in terms of horsepower and I wouldn't expect it to mess up the servers. And having the ability would make it so much easier to pass levels back and forth and to make it so that you can only access a sequel after beating the prequel. I just loved the ability to lock levels on PS3 and I was astounded when it wasn't on PSP!

Okey Dokey, that is all that I have :-)

Hmm...good post man! I don't know anything about the locked levels and stuff like that since the only time I get to play LBP on the PS3 is when I go to my uncles house.2010-07-09 16:48:00

Even better than water would be an invisable jetpack so it looks like your swimming, i dont think waters going to come to the psp side

witch is a bit of a shame but i can think of better things to add, like some kind of handle that you can glue shapes to and we can make things like swords or guns have it controled with squear button

The 3 features I REALLY want which I believe are possible on the PSP are:

-Republishing Without Resetting Ratings: It's really irritating when you want to go back and improve on one of your levels, but don't want to lose all your hearts. There's no reason why Cambridge couldn't do this...

-Custom Stickers/Photobooths: Just like poo said, it'd be awesome to lock areas on levels with stickers. And photobooths would be great to remember awesome moments when playing levels.

-Day and Night: Full blown lighting isn't really possible. But I can't see why day and night versions of every background wouldn't be possible. For example, if I wanted to make a night time level I'm restricted to using "The Wedding" theme.

Yeah, I agree with all of those things. I believe that those are pretty reasonable. And the "Republishing without resetting ratings" would be great! And it would also really help out.2010-07-17 19:48:00
