Rusty Carnival

Umm guys and gals i played a level called "Sack of Persia and Sands of Time" by TOBSn08 and playing this level I collected a couple of objects. So I fell in love this level , so I used the same materials as I saw in the level as well as a couple more I concocted a level,Called Rust carnival.I made this level in a competition with another mate,I made this in about 5 odd hours.

Please have a play if there's any good feedback or things I need to improve please say.

You should keep your titles the same.

I first looked up Rust Carnival and came up with nothing.
Then i saw "rusty" and then the level came up.

You shouldn't confuse people like that XD

The visuals are just amazing and the atmosphere is great.... but the problem is that... I can't seeee!
I can't see where I'm jumping and I can't see where to go next. I think it would be wise to put some arrows here and there to show players where they should go... and maybe color code some of the platforms so they know what is lethal and what isnt... or better yet, what is the part of the scenery and what isn't XD

The gameplay was fun too, once you get used to it... but yeah.... it's all a bit hard to see...

'Vacant Terminal Countdown' is the sequel, right?

Just finished playing it and I have to say in terms of atmosphere it's gorgeous! Really liked the lighting you set up and the materials you picked. Visually it's very unique.

Couple of things that could be improved on:

Change the thread name to make it easier for people to find the level (click edit at the bottom of the first post, then click go advanced, you can fix the title there.)

Camera in a few places is really tricky. The part with the rusty lifts that takes you to the left before the waterfall area is incredibly hard to see. Either change the angle on that or make those platforms much easier to see. I can see people rage quitting there especially since you have limited life checkpoints.

Layer management could be improved. There are a lot of places where sackboy slides forward or back in the layers unintentionally. Play through it and those spots that make him shift either need reworking so he doesn't or some well placed thin gas to keep players in the right layer.

Boss is very easy but nice. I'd suggest tweaking the camera a bit here though as it's pretty far back and doesn't really need to be.

Other than that I had a lot of fun playing it. Very cool visual style. I gave it 5 stars

Nice seeing people get inspired by my levels and even using my objects! Played it some minutes ago and for 5 hours of creating this is a great level!
Was also a bit inspiring for me =)
