Hehehe, that's a good opportunity man, make the most of it.

Bar the creative aspect, which i'm sure you'll do fine on, the real trouble will be making it comparable to Passion Pit's standard of mixing and mastering, that is if you're hoping it could be featured as an extra.

But yeah, good luck with that. Remixes aren't my Fort?, but if I was into making them, this would be one of the first things on my list

Wow! I didn't know there was a program capable of stripping apart the music tracks! Amazing!

Going along with the thread title, I really like Leather-Monkey's Sleepyhead remix!

Lol, dayne you numpty, he said that he was sent all the parts by passion pit (or at least their publisher) to mess around with, there isn't a program on earth that'll let you rip songs apart like that 2010-07-11 12:05:00

Protools is what you want. But again, need a mac for that.

And an insanely expensive hardware. If you haven't experienced the "use any midi controller" bliss of ableton then you have got too!! I use an Axiom25 and the Korg Nano Series which all totaled together is about 1/4 the price of a pro tools setup and IMO way more compact and useful. Protools is mos def the industry standard and I believe they also have a midi-controller version of their software. But Ableton is quickly taking over the laptop scene. Wanna hear a craaaaazy dude who works exclusively in Ableton? Check out BASSNECTAR!!! (http://soundcloud.com/bassnectar)

My humble music portfolio lives here. (http://soundcloud.com/user6889241)

I know DJs that work on everything mentioned in this thread and it comes down to skills and dedication no matter what you use, but i would argue that Ableton is the best option for most DJs.

For everyone who loves this song: I just made a music level of this on LBP search @Tr1xR4k1dz13 and the level is Sleepyhead - Passion Pit It's rated 5* so check it out! 2010-08-25 22:29:00

DayneOram, I highly doubt that was leathermonkeys remix, as it is also the first result when you search for "sleepyhead remix" on youtube, with a few slight changes to it so it would fit in the allotted time.2010-08-27 17:24:00
