Old Glitches
Archive: 6 posts
Hey, so umm I'm creating a level, but I need to get walkthrough-able Incredibles Level Kit materials, so I'm going to format my PS3 to get rid of the patches. But I'm not sure if this works. So could someone confirm me that by formatting PS3, the old glitches will work? And could someone tell me some of the old glitches I could re-produce? I'm going to try at least the old Glowing Skeleton glitch with MGS pack plasma balls. And if someone knows, how do I create the 'Cow' Glitch? If formatting PS3 doesn't work, does anyone know how I could get the Incredibles Pack walkthrough-able materials? | 2010-07-01 10:13:00 Author: Saku401 Posts: 83 |
Not sure if getting rid of updates will let that work.... also, I didnt know they'd patched that? The neon skeleton glitch is still possible, I got it in create mode by making a block of electric material, wearing the zombie boy skin (looks like glowing skeleton but not glowing) then hover over the block on pause mode, then drop and hit play as soon as you hit it, then undo and redo. Takes a while, but I got the costume within about 6 minutes. There is a level in the community levels which provides all of the basic materials cow glitched as eachother. Its copyable, and as far as I remember they're editable too. | 2010-07-01 10:19:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
You won't be able to get walkthroughable incredibles materials, because the game data contains the DLC data and the patches ie: you delete the patch you get rid of the ability to use the DLC until re updated | 2010-07-01 11:42:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |

You only need to delete the LBP update data - a complete format is unnecessary, however, as KernelM says, you'll only be able to do it on materials which were available prior to when the glitch was patched, which was Leerdammer, IIRC, so anything from PotC onwards won't be possible. | 2010-07-01 16:05:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

Aww.. So I just have to find another way. But what happens if I back-up a save that has add-on materials captured and delete updates? | 2010-07-01 17:22:00 Author: Saku401 Posts: 83 |
Where can I find the update data? I might have just missed it. It's the largest file in the Game Data area, about 800MB. But what happens if I back-up a save that has add-on materials captured and delete updates? The save data files are not compatible between all versions. I suspect any save file you have now will not be compatible with any version prior to Leerdammer. It's possible that the Incredibles content was patched in prior to Leerdammer, but it's highly unlikely. I'm in the process of doing a rollback right now, so I've have a look and see what stuff is available. | 2010-07-01 17:44:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
